Notts Forest fan I met recently said he thought McKenna too slow for the EPL.

McKenna is quite possibly the fastest player in the squad (him or Hendry). He was the fastest at Aberdeen. Him and Hendry would be my pairing because it allows us to play a high line.

Currently making pathetic fools of themselves v Wales.  3 down after about 50 minutes.  Fkin embarrassing.

Gemmill needs to go, it’s ridiculous.

yeah, possibly he is.  World class to me means in the top few for his position in the world.  Dalglish probably was in the late 70s. Aside from that, maybe souness, although there were lots of great central midfielders then - platini, Socrates, etc.

    After that, you would struggle.

I think Tierney is better than Robertson.

Doak does seem to be our best attacking prospect in a very long time. I’ve high hopes for Rory Wilson but too early to tell.

He's talented enough to do that in Italy or Spain in my opinion. I'd rather see him go to a top end english championship side instead of going to rangers

Fair enough, but not without risk.

The fact other "better" club players didnt perform at international level doesnt change the way Miller played the game. To his credit he always worked hard and always turned up. He also chipped in with some important goals however his movement was horrible, his touch wasnt much better and generally if he had anytime before shooting it rarely ended in a goal.

He was the best that we had for a long time but he was not a good player. Ireland had Robbie Keane. The difference in quality is night and day.

Of course he was a good player. Insulting pish.

Hopefully the wee man sorts something out as he's clearly got the ability to be a top player. Wonder if the physical side of the British game doesn't suit him, he might benefit from going abroad where there is a heightened focus on the technical side.

Italy, Spain or Rangers. The latter would guarantee him a game for a couple of seasons.

Sounds like the bankers are at it again. I wonder how much it is going to cost us this round?

I read that the Swiss-based bank is in trouble because it gave loans to the GFG Alliance which, as I understand it, will be of interest in relation to recent events within the SNP.

I understand that but its shortermism at its best. If Celtic win the league and league cup and Rangers win the Scottish cup would they consider it a good season?

When every game / competition is so important that you only ever play your 1st team players then it leaves zero scope for player development.

For example Rangers went 2 goals up, at home against a team in the lower half of Championship after an hour. They then brought on Arfield. Surely there is a development player who could have played the last half hour. Same argument for any other position. If Ranger distrust their development players that much that they think they might cost them a 2 goal lead in such circumstances then these players shouldnt be anywhere the club.

I agree to an extent, but the manager could lose his job if he doesn’t win the Cup. Lowry is injured, I think Devine was on the bench. Souttar came on, so there is that. Rangers were nearly 0-1 down and it could have been a difficult game.

More concerning is that for the 2nd round in a row they are playing a side in the division below and they dont even have any youth on the bench.

I really dont understand the reason for having somebody like Arfield on the bench for a game like this.

Im presumming Devine is injured as this is the type of game he should be starting but not even on the bench.

Also, did Beale not say McCrorie would get some games this season? When exactly is that going to happen?

The Scottish Cup is Rangers’ best chance of a trophy. The side is at full strength.

It's just the usual media obsession with attacking anything that the SG does. It's not even that big an issue. It's just a wee project tackling the tiniest tip of a massive iceberg. But it's a start. There will be teething problems and it might not stick to the original timescale but it will work eventually. As you say, it works fine in loads of other places.

I've no idea why the potential leaders are letting themselves get drawn into discussing this as part of their leadership bid. It's really not that important. Anybody suggesting that the plan should be totally scrapped are just showing up their ignorance of how much work has already been done. Quite a lot of money has been invested in this already, and if it gets binned then lots of folk will be looking for financial compensation.

It’s extremely important. Scotland has to be the most littered country in Europe. It’s an absolute midden of a place. I strongly believe that law and order, mental health, and ecological degradation are fundamentally connected to littering. Our rivers are absolutely disgusting and so are our roads. It’s not a trivial matter, we’re killing the place.
