What is incontrovertible is that Darren Fletcher is a better Scotland captain than Barry Ferguson ever was.
But not a better player.

Apparently some Indian boy interested in investing. Wait for it.., He is currently banned for life from Indian cricket for financial irregularities. Fixing bids I believe. F@ck me. ?
Banned for life and he's still only a boy?
-
Striker and that idiot Allan Johnston played him anywhere but up front.
Good to see Robbie have a pop at him
Not seen much of him, but he seems very promising. Does he have the pace to go to the top level?
-
A pretty stupid statement if you ask me. Have a look at the stats for any player Gaulds age even the world greats like Messi or Ronaldo and you won't see a great many goals. He is learning and progressing as is any player that age.
He's not a striker either.
-
£2M and he's out of contract at the end of the season? Have they gone mad?
-
I'm quite sure most SPFL teams would get humped in the MLS
-
Charlie Nicholas is another problematic one.
-
Eric Black would have been a fine international player if it wasn't for injury.
-
Terrific technique for a league debut.
-
Surprised nobody's mentioned Derek Ferguson. Saw him a few times for Scotland U18's and he was unbelievable. Nobody on the park could get anywhere near him, one touch and 3 opponents would be trailing in his wake. Potentially phenomenal that guy. What a waste.
Yes, very talented player.

McCormack is quick, not sure where you get that from.
-
Collins was better at set pieces but couldn't look after the ball as well as Ferguson.
-
In truth neither would have been fit to lace the likes of Gary macs or Jc's jockstraps...
Collins is over rated by many. He was a good player but not as good as Barry Ferguson, McStay or McAllister.

Great stuff. By the way I'm still annoyed we donated those goalposts to St Etienne. They're iconic and should be in our museum.
-
Post it, if you find it .

I've always felt an exploding meringue is just what we need to advance to the latter stages of a tournament.
-
Heard same stuff too.
Chief instigator allegedly is still employed at Ibrox (kit man)
He was happy to make a TV series with Charlie Nicholas.
-
He was like Elvis.
-
Shaun maloney under leviene arguably yes, under strachan no.
His goals in warsaw and at celtic park plus his work rate take him into the key player category in my eyes.
He was also nothing like Shaun Maloney.
-
He is the most naturally talented Scottish player I've seen, but played in the wrong era. Today he'd play in the hole and definitely not on the wing. The videos show the goals but it was his vision and quick feet that elevated him to genius level when on top form. He had a great campaign with Scotland before Mexico 86 but a system wasn't really in place to maximise his talent.

Interesting article about the in-form Armstrong who in all honesty hasn't really been that good this season. Flashes here and there, but he can play better.
I would've dismissed the Sporting link as nonsense, but not now obviously. He's a clever guy, pretty sure he'd choose Lisbon if the chance presented itself.
No evidence in that article to suggest it's true.

Pearson is doing the right thing making as much money as he can. A bit of a throwback to players with a poor touch but a good engine.
-
About a year ago, on the old board, i made a thread about who was your club's player of the year. it was a time when United had a few decent players in various states of form.
I named Robertson as the stand out and said he was destined for the top. I would have preferred him to have remained at Tannadump for another season and thought Hull was a shit move but knew he wouldn't be there for long.
The boy has it all and it's been an incredible rise for him.
And to think Victim FC released him and Zombie FC never spotted him.
He still needs to work on his first touch.

Started as a left mid then moved to left back and then cb and now cm
Apparently Souttar used to play on the wing.
