That was brutal from Rangers last night.  Absolutely devoid of energy, creativity and leadership.  2 games in a row where we've had a chance to make some progress and they've not turned up.  I'm not sure what the manager sees in Lammers to keep him around the starting XI as he looks to be one of the worst signings we've made in years (and I include Kevin Kyle in that....).  Also speaks volumes that 2 games in a row we're chasing a goal and Dessers doesn't even get off the bench in either.  At this point I'm tempted to lump on Aberdeen in the cup final at 10/3!!

I don't think there is a scenario where I would back against Rangers but Clement showed incredible arrogance last night in his team selection. If Lammers starts Sunday I will be seriously concerned. I have a feeling we will get through thus group on 8 points. Forever the optimist.

  2. Roofe is on the bench. Surely worth 15 mins instead of Sima who did nothing all game. I don’t understand Clement with these decisions. At least Aris are still in the hunt for a Conference place and Sparta need to win there.

Massive opportunity missed there. He got the starting line up totally wrong. And threw Cantwell under a bus.

Saw it more clearly on the tv news last night. Lammers has a little look over his shoulder then deliberately blocks the Aberdeen player. No penalty should have been the decision. You can only assume either Walsh hasn’t seen it or doesn’t think it’s relevant. Either way he’s called it wrong.

The pull on the jersey started before the block.

I’m sure Aberdeen were defending there so wouldn’t have been a penalty but he certainly swings his elbow and catches Polvara in the face so for me it’s violent conduct and deserves a red card but obviously the ref didn’t see it and VAR was having a piss or making a cup of tea at the time 🤔

Don't forget the non booking for the Aberdeen player taking out Balogun when he was running through midfield.

It amazing how many rangers fans just don't get it. If that's a penalty then we must award a penalty every time an attackers shirt is pulled in the box from now on, does that sound feasible or sensible to you?

I don't buy into the mentalist paranoia. If a pen was given against us for that I would say fair do's. Our player made the mistake.

Come on Ed a still image proves next to nothing. That said, I do think yesterday’s incident was borderline. If they are saying Goldson was likely to have got on the end of that cross it’s a very generous take imo. The one where the kid (that looks like the blond weirdo out of the Office) takes a dive at Livingston was miles worse, actually scandalous a penalty was given for that!

Under the current VAR rules its not even a controversial award. As for Cantwell I said at the time that's a booking for the dive. He really needs to address that.

VAR is like refereeing on the pitch. The person looking at the VAR in a dark room will have a different interpretation as to what is and isn't a foul and what does or doesn't merit a second look. That being the case the decision should remain on the pitch as the referee's interpretation should be the final say. Otherwise why are the VAR assistants not refereeing the match.

Willie Miller made a good point on the radio yesterday. These days defenders are so tight on defenders that it makes it impossible to make a run to block their route. Add to this that some teams and Rangers are one of them, use players to block off opposing defenders until the last moment. This then leads to shirt pulls/infringement  by defenders as they can't get to the attacker.

  8. I’ve sat in the home end at CP for an OF game. On 2 occasions. Both on corporate tickets but amongst the the real fans. Maybe it was because I was dressed suited and booted that I managed to contain myself.

On both occasions we won. 3-0 in the infamous Hugh Dallas game and 1-0 when Rod Wallace scored. I wouldn’t even attempt to purchase a ticket in the Aberdeen section for the final. But some Rangers fans will be in there. More fool them.
