    McTominay's knee - white!

    Tierney's groin - white!

    Hickey's Hamstrings - white!

Think McTominey's knee might be a bit red with all the swelling.

Anyone else constantly get the fear from this thread?

every time there is an update... 😞

Looking forward with hands covering eyes...,

McGinn has CL qualification and a possible European final

Adams, Armstrong and Fraser have playoffs

Gunn, McLean and Hanley (if fit) have play offs

McGregor and Souttar has SPL to play for

Christie, Gilmour, Robertson, Dykes, Porteaus competitive season just about over

Hendry still playing glorified friendlies so should be ok.

Do you think we can put out 11 players on 14 June?

  3. Think I might stop coming onto this thread, everytime I do so another key player gets injured. Might just close my eyes and think of the best.

And they beat Roma, almost guaranteeing a CL spot for next season, hope Fergie stays with them when he has recovered.

  5. Scotland's record in friendlies over the past 20 years have been awful(particularly ones leading up to major tournaments or those soulless ones under Berti) Thank God for the Nations League.

That just ain't true though whatsoever and based on nothing at all.

I bet there will be a lot of well respected managers who would be interested in taking this job especially with the squad we have now

Not disagreeing with you but give us a few names.

As an unused sub again today, Patterson has to be a huge worry. If he gets little to no minutes before the Euros, Clarke can't possibly take him and will have to go with Ralston as backup to Hickey. We can only hope Dyche gets sacked.

.Dyche obviously thinks Patterson is ok for a quick slap around the head, Benny Hill style. Nothing else.

Probably resemble the team that started in Amsterdam, with Dykes in for Shankland.

Hopefully he does not make the rolling subs again, as I felt when we started going for sub galore, that is when we lost the game in Amsterdam.

Agree totally with this post, too many subs at the same time completely disrupted our system. Always the problems with friendlies.

Cheap option, I guess. Younger and/or better coaches don't see the role as career enhancing.

They've also got the big get out clause that their "alleged" main role is preparing players for the first team rather than results. Funny as out of the last three young players to progress (Gilmour, Hickey and Patterson) none of them really played under 21s or 19s. In fact Hickey deliberately chose not to.  Anyway, young players are more likely to get in the first team through club performance rather than under age national teams.

Shouldn’t blame Shankland, McTominay and McGinn missed great chances too.

My word we crumbled and defended poorly.

That was worrying tbh cos that was as good as we’ve played for large parts of that game but we’ve been absolutely horsed 4-0 by a fairly average team.

Think that is the major problem. When Tierney went off the defence was simply awful. (No idea where or what they were doing) All three second half goals totally avoidable.

A lot now very angry voices being heard and vitriol towards Clarke at the end.  People weren't happy. Yes, it's a friendly, but that's 6 without a win with a number of poor showings in those games.

Some very bizarre substitutions and decision making after a positive 60 minutes.

A positive result is a must, and that means by performance and score.

Think one of the problems is the Netherlands bring on subs from Dortmund and Inter Milan, we bring on from Southampton and Norwich.

Anyone starting to think the unthinkable that Gordon should be our 1st choice keeper?

wouldn't say Gunn was responsible for any of the goals. Not sure Gordon or anyone else could organise a back five without Tierney.

I'd like to see Ferguson coming on but Shankland staying on. Gunn could have done better with the goal.

Not sure, one in a hundred strike. Thought we have kept the ball really well.

Whole game is pretty competitive, lots of positives so far.

It’ll be interesting see if Barron is still an Aberdeen player next season. Contract expires this summer and was strongly linked with a move to Swansea City in January.

Yup, out of contract in summer and no idea who the next Aberdeen manager will be. Could choose his clubs from mid to top of English championship (including Swansea). Big decision for him.

Another good shout, only Zander Clark has made it into the Scotland squad albeit as a back up. I remember that St J team had a very good back line that season -  Shaun Rooney, Jason Kerr, Liam Gordon & Jamie McCart.

Who all had decent careers in lower leagues in England, (Rooney still bulldozing goals for Fleetwood) whatever happened to the ball playing midfielder who went to Preston for a million and chose NI rather than us. Probably the best player in that team.
