  1. Forysth has to get subbed at half time. He has been horrendous. Gave two corners away due to poor control and I've lost count of how many times he's given away the ball in general. He's also disrupted our attacking play with poor control... I hope and pray Robertson replaces him at half time

  2. The way the fbi work with these cases is they go for the medium guys and then offer them reduced sentences for testimonies and evidence against the guy they want. It's how they took down the mafia dons.

I'll be very suprised if batter hasn't flew to country with poor relations with the US in the next few days.

  3. Agreed. Anthony Stokes has something like 12 assists this season, so based on that and highlights it makes him look like a top player. But most Celtic fans that have watched him regularly this year want him out the team. Never performs in big games and can't play without a partner.

Sorry to use a non-Scot as an example, but it proves the point.

You also have to take into account the teams they play for. Martin wouldn't score as many goals if he wasn't playing for Derby, likewise May would score more if he wasn't playing for Sheffield Wednesday.

Considering how much derby have struggled since Martin has been injured, you have to wonder if he's better than some say

  4. Yeah but they are legally not allowed to name the girl - I'm sure they know her name. I think it should be the same for the guy, at least until he has been charged.

I think I'm right in saying that if a girl called rape and then later admits that it wasn't, she still can't legally be named yet the guy can, gets his name dragged through the mud with the stigma now attached.

There was a case recently where a woman cried rape and it turned out she made it up. The guy was named and attacked by a gang while with his pregnant wife and she lost the baby as a result. The woman later recanted her story and faced no jail time.

  5. If he's eligible, clearly benefits the team and wants to play for us then they're welcome in my book (Morrison fits into this category, and opting for us at a young age/ always turning up help enforce this).

However, the problem for me is that young guys like Mowatt appear to get into squads much easier than 100% Scots at the same level as them. We should only be calling up these players if they're clearly the right choice for a starting position, as otherwise they're getting in at the expense of someone else.

If he's gonna switch I'd rather he does his time in the u21s, as nothing I've seen of him suggests he's any improvement on Armstrong or jack who can barely get near the squad

  6. 4 in 3 games. I don't know why he was playing so badly at the start of the season, but he seems to have turned a corner.

Its probably got something to do with arry being gone. Some players who don't really get a game for a previous manager get an extra motivation when a new manager comes.

  7. Yip and i said as much.

He's not 14 or 15 now though is he?

Weren't you one of the ones having a go at Charlie Gilmour who's 15/16 and is flirting between Scotland and England?

Isn't having a go at someone who's unsure about 2 countries at 15/16 a bit hypocritical when you're defending a kid who made disgusting comments on his twitter.

  8. I don't know about you but when I was a kid, the thought of playing for England gave me the boak.

We all make daft choices as kids, look at Muirheads biggoted twitter posts a few years ago

  9. From what Ive seen I think Joe Thomson will be the next big star at Celtic Park...

Totally agree that Miller is an outstanding talent but I think he might might be busy off the field for a while. His girlfriend is pregnant and due soon.

It hasn't exactly slowed Sterling down lol

  10. I stand corrected but reading through that and other sources it's mostly circumstancel, which has been the case with most things involving Qatar in recent years. Like all the bribes with the 2022 world cup, no one had the balls to properly investigate it so we are left with half truths and half baked theories.

  11. I have never seen anything linking Qatar with terrorism... soo do you have any proof or is it just because they are in the middle east?

Purely on a human rights perspective do I disagree with Qatar holding the world cup and indeed Scotland being involved in a friendly with them.

  12. Maybe I'm alone but I don't give a feck how the team voted. It's a democracy and people should feel free to vote however they like without a witch hunt afterwards. Obv I would have prefered if everyone in Scotland voted yes but let's move on.

Spot on! People have a right to democratically make their own choice and to belittle their choice and want to segregate the squad based on their political views is extrodinarly bigoted, but what can you expect when the person who brought it up has his profile pic as the jazz singer

  13. Surely must have been looking at an "eligible" ?

Not 100% sure but I think Bournemouth's Matt Ritchie can play for us.

I think he was in one of our youth squads when he broke through at Portsmouth and Swindon but injury stopped it and then he was never heard of again

  14. Just out of curiosity did it say what was McGoldrick's family link with Scotland ?

The lads over on the YBIG forum were really impressed with McGoldrick on his Ireland debut. Seems like a good find for them.

He's been a journeyman championship player for years, who's hit a purple patch. I see him going for big money to the premiership and failing miserably, thdn he'll end up out on loan for years. The same happens every few years

  15. First one to grab the jersey on match day, all fairly equal with each having different strengths. Marshall by far the best at cross balls but the other two better all round shot stoppers. My choice would be McGregor then Gordon and then Marshall but happy to let Strachan make the hard decision.

    I make that Gordon - 8

    MacGregor - 5

    Marshall - 4

I would play Gordon over the next 2 games but come an important qualifier I would have to say Marshall. He has proven himself over the last couple of years and deserves to be number 1.

I think too many on here are living in the past when it comes to Gordon, he has done alright since coming back but he had an absolute mare against the first decent opposition he came up against, when we come up against Germany or Poland how can we be sure the nerves won't creep in again?

    Gordon - 8

    McGregor - 5

    Marshall - 5

  16. I would. He brought Cathro to United and started the whole performance school thing moving.

This ^^^ say what you want about avril but he did have some fore thought when it came to youth development.

Even as a Rangers fan the last thing I would want is Smith involved in picking Scotlands next youth head. I've never seen a manager less trusting of youth players (only mccoist comes close).

  17. Strachan has already said the older players who come to basically make up the numbers won't really be involved anymore as he doesn't want to take them away from their young families. I doubt we'll see Burke, bryson and dorrans (if he doesn't get his move) again.

Based on the fact it's basically a training game you would have seen gms and Armstrong regardless of their move, I also have a strong feeling jack will be involved in at least one of the squads

  18. With alcohol it depends a lot on the level and strength, but yes next day depression is a common side effect of alcohol (& drugs). I think I've drank 5 or 6 times since I was 21 (26 now). I would just feel extremely drained, down and lethargic for days.

I also hated the worrying (I have extreme anxiety and even when sober I worry about things I may have said) about having maybe said or done something stupid. Sometimes I wouldn't even leave the house due to the worry.

  19. France

    ukraine

    Scotland

    Iceland

    N ireland

    Macedonia

That's a very difficult group; I'll be suprised if we make top 2, but with Stark gone we may now get the best players in our squads and playing in their correct position. So with him gone I do have a little hope

Against England didn't stark play like 4 full backs in defence?
