Would have settled for that before the game kicked off. Four points from the last two games and hopefully some lessons learnt tonight as well, bring on the Irish!
-
I feel like a kid on a long car journey, "Are we nearly there yet?". Why can't the ref just blow up ealry and we'll call it an early night?
-
Can we just end the group now? Ireland - 1st; Scotland - 2nd. (I'd take that...)
I think you're not the only one who'd be happy with that.
-
Why can't I just enjoy it when we go ahead, now I'm going to be anxious and a bundle of nerves for the next 40 minutes. Anyone else suffer the same problem?

Andrew Neil completly missing the point.

Have they even bothered to give any rationale why farage would be invited when others with more MPs and more members would be excluded?

Had one of several chances been taken or had the final ball been a bit better it would have been very comfortable result. I only really started to get nervous when we had ten minutes to go and felt they might nick one through some mistake by us. I felt the game got very stretched as it went on and that we were a bit exposed on our left flank. I like both Anya and Robertson but I'm not sure the understanding was always there yesterday. I'd have liked to have seen Maloney and Naismith switch as I feel Maloney's more effective in that central area. Back four looked solid and though Brown was excellent int he middle of the park. All in all decent performance against an ordinary side, passing, commitment and self beleif all massively imporved under Strachan
On a positive I'm sure our finishing can't be as poor as yesterday and I think Fletcher's due a goal in a Scotland shirt (last one was five years ago!) so bring on Tuesday night.

This. ####in England on S(cottish)TV but no Scotland highlights. Khunts.
Absolutely diabolical, pathetic show by STV - who I'm asuming are the ones to blame.

The Orange lot won't be there until the church comes out.Defenders of the faith and that.
I'd be surprised any of them not what the inside of a church looks like

Last week has been Big Country week, Steeltown currently in the dodgy CD player

And if you were a Lib Dem you wouldn't get any comfort out of either vote. As likely to be Farage than Clegg holding the balance of power.

Not really sure what this comes under but I notice that the UK govts have just agreed a joint visa scheme whereby visitors outside the EU can use the same short-stay visa to move freely between the states.
UKs relationship with RoI just seems so different to what they were promising for an independent Scotland

genuinely who's lord donkey gobbler again? Robertson? how about we tell him bluntly "no thanks" cause he's a bunny rabbit?
Over a thousand posts and you don't know who Lord donkey gobbler is? Maybe there should be a list of pseudonyms somewhere on the board.

Pretty good summary. They pretty much sums up westminster's type of so called democracy.
Hits the nail squarely on the head.
-
There is a section of the no voters who want the Scottish Parliament done away with altogether. Far from wanting more powers, they want none!
And presumably no oil and gas revenue either. Sorry, its difficult to begin to comprehend.
-
Interesting results in a poll by Panelbae.
Pretty much seems we want Home Rule
How the heck can nearly a third of those asked not want control of oil and gas revenues generated in Scottish waters? Am I missing something?

Feel free to do both - but finger pointing and name calling those that voted No will only hinder our progress.
I think Lamia's post highlights the importance of having at least some of MSM on your side or at least not so much against you. People in a democracy have a right not to vote and not to inform themselves but it's very frustrating and I can certianly understand Lamia's anger when people don't seem to want to engage at any level but still vote No because of some sound bite or some newspaper headline or some dodgy vow or simply cos that's the way their family has always voted or because 'If you don't know, vote no.'
Totally agree that we've got to build a bridge to those that voted No, reassure some of them, educate some of them, don't demonise (all of ) them no matter how disappointed we are, how angry we are or how gobsmacked we are by some people's naivety.

Very sad, terrible for his friends and family.

This is something we need to be very wary of, Yes must not be split, absolutely not. The most fantastic thing about the Yes campaign is how it brought so many people together, we MUST ensure this momentum and unity continues and spreads.
Totally agree with Bzzzz, the goal is a better deal for Scotland and that can only be achived if we have a broad coalition and don't get sucked into factionism. The WM elite would like nothing better than for all those who supported the Yes campaign to walk away and believe there once in a genration guff. Failing that they would be more than happy if we started squabbling amongst ourselves. Focus and perseverance are the key.

It's alright! Nick Clegg's got it sorted according to the BBC.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-29476172
"Nick Clegg has declared himself the "guarantor" in government over delivering more powers for Scotland. At the same time, he has expressed irritation with Prime Minister David Cameron in linking the issue with English votes for English laws...As the guarantor, if you like, in government, as the party which has the only Scottish people around the cabinet table, I can guarantee you that those powers will be delivered. Whatever the noises from the Conservative party and others - it will be delivered in full on time, as promised."
We can all sleep easy in our beds now
-
No way this will happen, won't sell down south. You're not going to deprive English voters at the expense of Scottish voters. Would be political suicide, main UK parties don't have to do it, they wont do it, there's no reason why they should.

Quite a good article on the BBc website by James Cook:

Shagger seems to be a bit unlucky on the old injury front, at least we've got decent options.
