  1. OK, Let's go with the scenario that King is the real deal and he will oversee the Rangers promotion to the premiership. What lessons have been / will be, learned from the mistakes made by the clubs previous incarnation?

It's almost impossible to think that any more mistakes could have been made by those running the club over the last few years. I don't know whether we will get promotion this season especially if we get anymore results like that against Hibs. We've certainly missed opportunities both on and off the field.

  2. Park as in Parks of Hamilton...I guess this solves the mystery of how Jimmy Bellend is still in a job. Wee spy on the inside no doubt.

Personally if I was a hunn I'd take Ashley any feckin day of the week over this shower of shyte but I guess those traditions have to be maintained, could not have RFC run by an outsider, like an ordinary club, for profit...nooooooo. Instead they will run it into the ground, it is the way of the peepil.

Why would you want a guy worth billions owning RFC, clearly that is rubbish. Much better this lot. Oh yes.

    Ahhh-root-toot-toot!

Presumably the same would apply to Newcastle fans as well who are desperate to get rid off Ashley. I know nothing about the three bears so aren't going to make any comment on the implied sectarianism except to say that most Rangers fans just want people who are genuinely concerned for the club's future to be involved rather than the mobsters who have been running the club in recent history.
  3. I think given what McLeod has achieved in his career to date, the level he's been playing at and our current financial predicament that £1M is a decent amount for us to receive for him. I'd hope there are various different add ons and sell on clauses but knowing our board I'd doubt it.

What does disappoint me is that I'd hope the boy would set his sights a bit higher than Brentford. I'm not for a minute suggesting that he holds out for an EPL team but I'd think he could hold out and move to a bigger/more established Championship team should he want to move on.

I wonder how much of the £1 million Rangers would receive immediately, it wouldn't be the first time a fee has been announced and then money up front turns out to be significantly lower. Anyhow if Macleod leaves and is successful then I have no doubt that larger clubs will circle and snap him up, for a club like Brentford buying young promising players at sensible prices and selling them on is a good business model (peterborough had been very successful using that approach until recently)

  4. Johnny Russell could become a very handy wee busybody kind of player for Scotland. I'd give him a go against Northern Ireland and Gibraltar.

Ikechi Anya got an assist for Watford.

Ross McCormack scored for Fulham. Jack Grimmer is also getting a regular game for Fulham now which is great.

Likewise Liam Cooper appears to be a regular for Leeds. Two young defenders to consider anyway :ok:

Nice to see Grimmer getting a few games for Fulham, I think he made his debut when they got absolutley thumped so I feared the worst. We could do with another long term option at right back and he was certianly promising at Aberdeen.

  5. Its really strange its like some of them really would like to see Scotland hammered to ensure we don't get ideas above our station again.

The reality is if we had been a normal country we would have just had to deal with this. Norway has had to dip into its oil fund a bit more and no doubt other countries big and small will deal with it in their own way until the price goes back up. Scotland would of course have been unique and we would be needing food banks on the streets of Milltimber and UN helicopters dropping Red Cross food and clothing to the masses.

The UK is currently losing money with the oil price how are they coping ???

The oil is a bonus and if, as some clever people have said,Scotland had set up an oil fund and put money away for a rainy day the drop could have been cushioned until the price went back up.

Well observed, when all's well its UK oil, when prices temporarily drops its Scotland's. We should have had 40 years of a oil fund tucked away by now for a rainy day.
