I can't say what ek_celt's point is but I think he meant that if the Irish Scots feel included they will become more Scottish than Irish. I was told that the TA was anti-Celtic and have had trouble with our "British" section but I have made friends with many and have a real laugh with them when they are over in this direction.

If there had been a yes vote last month we wouldn't be haviing this discussion - it would have been a match between two independent nations and a celebration of "celticness" in Celtic Park. Those of Irish decent would have supported their own nation, Scotland, without any hesitation. I think they feel excluded by the British name tag!
