  1. You are right in a way but there are lots from the West of Ireland and around Cork. Pocket of loyal fans throughout Ireland although the numbers were at a height in the 1960's
  2. The strongest like between Ireland and Glasgow Celtic originates with Belfast Celtichttp://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/Belfast+Celtic
  3. spoken like a true Jackeen I think - maybe freestaters are embarrassed but I can assure you that most from the 9 counties of Ulster and country areas of the south have Celtic at least as their second team and are proud to see our flag flying high at Celtic park.
  4. My mistake then - good for you. You just appear so small minded and of limited intelligence that I thought you were a no voter. No, I can't help myself - I have as much right as you to post on this board and will certainly not be stopped by you.
  5. My stupid comments??? and you sound so intelligent Bet you voted NO
  6. Think I will get tickets - after all it will be the Irish partying after the match
  7. Very interested to know what you mean - why would what I wrote cause trouble???????
  8. I can't say what ek_celt's point is but I think he meant that if the Irish Scots feel included they will become more Scottish than Irish. I was told that the TA was anti-Celtic and have had trouble with our "British" section but I have made friends with many and have a real laugh with them when they are over in this direction.
  9. when I was young I used to support Italy because I thought the men were beautiful
  10. If there had been a yes vote last month we wouldn't be haviing this discussion - it would have been a match between two independent nations and a celebration of "celticness" in Celtic Park. Those of Irish decent would have supported their own nation, Scotland, without any hesitation. I think they feel excluded by the British name tag! Just one point about football and the selection of the Scottish team - why did Jimmy Johnston not get more caps for Scotland??? Was he not good enough
  11. I am sorry to bring reality into this but I know quite a few Celtic supporters - Scots with weegie accents but strong Irish roots - who are completely torn in two by this match
  12. Not only that - who will sing "Flower of Scotland" the loudest? The Irish support or the NO voters???????
  13. Gordon Strachan's 11 V Martin O'Neill's 11 at Celtic Park - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I can just feel the pain I am flying into Glasgow on the 13th - it will be a great party - hope they still serve jelly and ice-cream, it's my favorite
  14. It is time for Scots to show the world that the reason they don't wear anything under their kilt is NOT because they have no balls
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNCFR8SqioE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wc0b0lSyNnw :ok: Good luck Scotland
  16. In 12 days time Scotland could be a proud independent state where men and women with balls and vision can create a better life for themselves, their children and their people How lucky you are to have this opportunity - remember how you were used as guinea pigs for the poll tax? NEVER AGAIN - go for life as free and equals in your own country
