  1. Yes I agree - have never really rated McGeady, some fancy moves but most come to nothing
  2. I'll take that as a compliment while I add you to my ignore list. Same as the booing of Aiden, just shows that some thing he would have been an asset to the Scotland team - otherwise they would just ignore him. I am sure he is flattered.
  3. I presumed he was a no voter and if he is still happy with that vote he must not be aware/or maybe he likes that the English made fools of the Scots, yet again.
  4. he searched me out to give me the fingers - I simply burst his bubble.
  5. Politics is everywhere and part of life - when I arrived in Glasgow airport there were "Border UK" signs all over the place - I felt so sorry for all my Scotish nationalist friends and hope there will be "Border Scotland" signs soon
  6. I had a wonderful time at the match (I know there will be some sad to hear that ) - shouted my head off in support of Aiden - sang our national anthem and Flower of Scotland - someone three rows in front of me gave me the fingers after the goal, I replied he didn't have that much to be proud of since the no vote. Joked all the way through with others around me and messaging on the phone with Scots friends. Didn't see or hear anything offensive and thought the TA behaved as normal, great banter and passion
  7. Now is this in your humble opinion or do you consider yourself in the position to speak for 7.000 Irish men and women??????????????? The only time I mention anything political is in reply to someone I disagree with strongly and I believe to be talking rubbish.
  8. Sounds great - but you forgot the Scottish-Irish - where will they fit in???
  9. There are young lads with Irish Usernames whose balls have hardly dropped, spouting shit about my country and my people - I will always reply.
  10. It makes a hell of a difference for those who are still under British Occupation. However I understand you - I am alright jack, to hell with the others.
  11. Of course I am a Celtic supporter - you can see that even from the people who attack me!! I made the comment about sexism etc. because I thought the person who made it had also belittled the Irish in the north etc. I know what goes on when fans go abroad. I doubt if there is as much action as is talked about - most men will have had too much drink to "perform"
  12. I totally agree with you. It was Irishmen who came on this board and belittled the Irish in the north, the Celtic support etc. etc. The voting comments where to the regular few who always attack me on here - others have made much stronger comments about no voters, but they weren't attacked.
  13. That is actually what I find surprising - when I used to come on the board about 5 or so years ago there seemed to be a high percentage of no voters - now it is much more inclusive. Yes, the YES campaign did wonderfully and now the SNP are ready to pounce (I hope). I understand the problem with the elderly vote and I hope they have learned something from what has happened immediately after it. I was disappointed that more Scots didn't have more faith in their own people.
  14. The whole world was watching the Scottish referendum. As a Belfast woman, as well as wanting to see a free Scotland I also hoped we would be next!!!
  15. getting off with a girl and putting your leg over her are slightly different. Scots will only be over in Ireland a day or two - his statement implies that a lot of Irish women have no respect for themselves and sleep around - are "easy" as they used to say. I think many of the fathers on this board would not be happy to hear the same comment about their daughters - but then again I am a loony.
  16. and it is your problem? People being insulting and belittling others can just sail through but when I point our that there are limits I am rude, hypocritical and obnoxious??? Ah well, whatever.
  17. ah well if you don't understand that it is ok - don't worry your head about it.
  18. How sad??? don't you have anything better to do?? I work all day on the computer - get bored at times. Why are you posting on here?
  19. Are you saying you don't normally join it with the Famine song? A normal argument would go "no the English are not our masters - we are equal to them. I voted no because....." etc. Why go to the Irish forum because I feel the Scots let themselves down by voting no?????
