Kirkcaldy Tartan Army's Hogmanay bash has raised in the region of £200 that they will be donating to Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal funds. Many, many thanks to all concerned.

From Sarah Smith, Ward manager Children's Unit - who received our donation of £5000 in October. "A great Christmas party for our brave children. A great big thank you to the Tartan Army for your kind donation towards our children's ward party xxx"

It gives the Sunshine Appeal great pleasure to confirm that we have selected the recipient of YOUR donation for the game in Malta, being played on the 4th of September 2016. We have selected Puttinu Cares Foundation, who are as equally excited by the news, as we are!! About Puttinu Cares Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group was officially set up in 2002 and is a non governmental, non profitmaking organisation. They are directly involved with the Rainbow ward at the Mater Dei Hospital, being the new General Hospital in Malta, as well as assisting those families who have to attend the UK for treatment. The aims of the group:  To advocate on behalf of affected children and their families by representing their needs;  To campaign for the provision of a coordinated network of care and support;  To promote models of good care and practice;  To support families with a national information service;  To enhance the knowledge and skills of professional carers by providing specialist literature and education opportunities;  To assist affected children by improving the environment in which they are treated;  To raise funds through sponsorships, donations and fundraising activities or through any other means as the Management Committee may determine; and  In general to do all that is conducive to the attainment of the above aims We hope you agree that this is worthy recipient of YOUR monies and that it will help to make a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer. Nearer to the time of the donation, we will confirm the details of the where/when and we welcome any contact in advance, to confirm your interest in attending the presentation.
