Please admin close this topic so we don't need to read extracts from people's over active imaginations.

He has started a handful of first team games this season , whether we like it or not England aren't desperate enough to call up players after such limited first team football it's only the smaller nations like us that need to consider such things due to lack of alleged quality options.

Maybe Southgate called Anderson  up and he told him he needed time to consider his international options.

Just noticed Marc Leonard was MOM again v Reading the other night, fans said he was to good for league 2 now the same about league 1, hopefully his next move or stay at Brighton will have this guy on the fringes of the national team.

Who scored. Com have agreed with the fans as to what level he should be playing at.

Never really been keen on dropping down leagues, but for a player in his position it might be ideal for development.

He may be a lot of things...but at 21 a child isn't one of them.So he is well old enough to get married,to vote but isn't old enough to make his mind up about what country he want's to represent. He's taking the pish.Tell him to piss off.

I wouldn't let 21 year olds get married or vote, unless they have spent 5 years in the real world.

A 20 year old (not 21) who's entire life has involved being in football academies has little understanding of his nationality or anything else for that matter.

Not named in the England under 21 squad, obviously turned down a call up.

If he chooses Scotland after this hype and interest then that says a lot about his commitment to us.

    Lets see what happens…

Had the first team squad been name named?

  5. Another assist and MoM performance for Gauld this morning.

His form over there is getting a bit silly. If he carry's on like this you might find a decent club make him an offer that would make him the highest paid non international footballer in history. if he isn't already.

Yeh Bristol city fans raving about him, even comparing him to Alan Shearer 😆 Seems to have all the attributes to be a top striker, though he had dodgy hamstrings which sounds familiar here😪

He has already trained with the full squad so if he continues scoring he should be called up for the Georgia game.   Let's not take any chances incase England come sniffing as he is only 21 so guess he is young enough to play for their under 21's .

Another championship player who had another good game this week was Luis Binks. Coventry fans loving him, solid defensively & as he is so comfortable on the ball he seems to like to push forward from the back. Maybe he is the ideal K.T back up.

He is young enough to play for our under 21s, with him being that close to fitness why wasn't he called up. Perhaps England are allready sniffing..

I wondered same thing. The other is the lad Conway at Bristol City though he maybe injured

Your right Conway is injured and Hackney played for the England under 21's recently.

According to Fotmob, Ferguson got 8.3 for Bologna, was made captain and had an assist 👍

Hopefully he will get at least 45 minutes against France.

Really needs to get international experience under his belt. I would say he is probably the best player not in our starting eleven and the one we would need to cover any injuries in the midfield.

He can’t play for Canada until after 2026 WC as I understand it.  2030 would be his first chance, by which time he’d be 34, and that’s assuming Canada qualified.

I really shouldn't pay attention to random feeds! It said 2025

I wonder if we might see him or Doak in the next squad, in Anderson’s place?

Just some random feed but it suggested he wasn't that bothered and that he had Canada as back up to play in a world cup finals.

Be interesting to see if Anderson is called up again or who replaces him in the squad.

I do not think they can do that as it would mess up the seedings.

Even if its a total blank slate and work on basis that the two highest teams who failed to qualify (either via Nations League or Qualification) you are probably still talking a 2 way fight between Northern Ireland, Wales and one from us and Rep of Ireland, as you would imagine England would breeze through, and if we can keep momentum going, we would not be far behind.

Probably need to let the Irelands play each other for the sake of the  bid name

Might be a wild shout but i'll trust the managers judgement on this one.

Armstrong has been a good player for us and if the manager thinks he's a better option currently than Ferguson then it'll do me.

Ferguson will get his chance, he's had 5 or 6 caps already, he;'ll get plenty more.

Agree about Clarke but he will come round to my way of thinking sooner rather than later.

Not sure he was a bit part player. He went through plenty of spells where he was a first team regular.

Not sure he's into the twilight of his career. Probably has a good 4 or 5 years left, maybe more. If he chooses to keep turning up for squads even though he's not a starter then he should get credit for that.

A few injuries and we might need him. He is a decent player on his day. It's really just his age and the fact he dropped down to the championship which is why ppl are keen on ditching him.

He started 15 or 16 games in each of the last two seasons but did come on as a substitute in quite a few games, that to me is a bit part player. And it was only with Southampton.

People saying players can carry on playing at a high level into their mid 30s is something that i just don't see unless they were exceptional in their mid 20.

Might need him incase of injuries because of his experience? The only way to avoid this is to let players like Ferguson gain experience. He is at this stage in his career a better player than Armstrong.

He is playing in the championship now for a reason.

Well Armstrong has done well in the epl for a few seasons now. We have strength in midfield but a guy who does well in the epl will pretty much always get game time for us regardless of position.

He's also had some decent games for us, pretty sure he pulled us out of a hole against Armenia or someone like that.

Overall he's good back up to have but Ferguson is the future and I would like him to get some more chances.

I wouldn't say that being a bit part player for a side that got relegated is much to be impressed by.

A man of the match performance against a team as poor as Armenia is something but at the end of the day someone had to be awarded the honour and it could have been anyone on their day.

He is well into the twilight of his career and surely it is time to move on with some of the newer options available. He is the easiest option to upgrade.

Lewis Ferguson plays every week in Serie A. I think he needs to be tried out more for us.

Pretty hard to get into a midfield that allready has four top half standard EPL players.

Really annoys me when Armstrong comes of the bench these days ahead oh him.

In what way have nisbet and shankland stepped up to international level?

Both have hardly played and neither have exactly done amazing things when they did.

Thats probably why Gunn hasn't made it to a top level team, he has some absolute shocking games.

Has some brilliant ones too and hopefully that is what happens when it matters for us.

Good to see Cooper starting again and putting in solid performance.

Saw Adams assist yesterday and thought it was a bit special.
