Is it though? Some countries have to play 10 games some have to play 8, sorry but it really isn't that simple you condescending ##

Not sure what your final phrase added to the debate.

    Was it really necessary?

That is true but ffs 2 bookings and you miss the next match? That's fuckin ridiculous, I  think they're ultimately trying to make 'soccer ball' an absolute non contact sport!

    It isn't ridiculous.

It's the rules - and rules that we have benefitted from in this group.

If we don't like it - then don't pick up cheap cards like Patterson did on Friday.

Sorry - it really is that simple.

That he was player of the year last season for a start? Captain of the unbeaten league winning team? Top assist leader in the league? One of the top goal scorers?

Any of those reasons do? Or do you just dislike Rangers so much that you’re incapable of reasoned debate concerning Rangers players?

Is asking a question about the player keeping Scotland's right back out of his club team unreasonable?

James fucking Tavernier? One of the best players in the country, I expect there’s probably clubs interested in his to be honest.

Patterson just needs a move as last years player of the season and the only right back in Scotland better than Patterson is keeping him out of his club side.

On what basis is James Tavernier one of the best players in the country??

I think Patterson is a better player than ralston.  It’s a dilemma for Clarke with Patterson not getting game time, but we look better every time he plays ahead of o donnell.  Ultimately I think it will be Patterson and then between ralston and Ramsey for back up.

The dilemma with Patterson is not whether he is better than SOD or Ralston. It is that his club manager does not consider him to be better defensively or offensively than James Tavernier and hence he doesn't get picked.

James fucking Tavernier - who no other club is interested in.

Let all that sink in and wonder why.

Patterson's ability is demonstrable, however it is not sustainable, short-term or long term, for him to be first pick for Scotland while continually getting skelfs on his arse at Ibrox if SOD and Ralston are playing regularly and in decent form.

Hopefully the SFA are onto this and realise there is going to be 6 to 800 scots there and bargain with the Moldovan FA. Simple process would be to say, we are happy to take another 600 tickets at a tenner per ticket.

The issue is the Moldovan Government's pandemic restrictions, something that neither the Moldovan FA or SFA have any control over.

Yeah losing Dykes is a blow but I’m sure if Nisbet and Adams get some decent service they’ll bag a goal or two between them.

    I admire your optimism.

Number 2 buses in Dumbarton Road currently offer a more reliable service than the Scotland team do to our strikers.

Gilmour was as guilty as anyone for giving the ball away. Needs to work on his shooting as well.

    This all day.

Gilmour did not have a good second half as the performance went through the phases from up-the-tempo to anxiety to uber-anxiety. Normal in these circumstances.

Coincidentally, the player who stood up more and more during those same phases was Scott McTominay.

And a major shout to Grant Hanley for that clearance in the middle of the box after c75 minutes when there were three opponents available to take advantage.

That was crucial to this victory.

The position is up for grabs as far as I am concerned. O'Donnell has done a lot right and very little wrong for us but I get he is somewhat  limited in an attacking sense. Patterson has potential but he's done nothing to nail down the position, in fact he was utter dug meat in the first half last night. Frankly if he can't nail down the position at club level he shouldn't be considered. There are other young RB's coming through, let's just see what happens.

    Good summary.

RB/RWB is for the taking right now and some serious competition exists for a variety of reasons.

  10. O'Donnell until Patterson ousts Tavernier as first choice.

For me, he's not earned his place as first choice for Scotland until he has the confidence of his club manager as a first pick. If Gerrard doesn't have confidence in him by now, then he has to move down south to progress his career.

He's also now running the risk of Ramsay gaining the upper hand on him by virtue of being first choice at Aberdeen.

Nathan Patterson has a decision to make about his own future.

  11. McGregor should be on penalties in the immediate future.

Worst thing about Dykes hitting it down the middle is that he gets no height on it. What part of the keeper's anatomy is the last to move when he dives?? His feet. That's basic analysis.

So a penalty down the middle should be at knee height as a minimum, and ideally shoulder height.

Eh? He was co-commentator on Germany v Romania the other night. Hopefully retired from our games. Get sick of him willing the ball into our net.

To clarify - no longer a full-time Sky employee now that he's 65 - pensioned off.

May be doing odd gigs as freelance - as he is entitled to do.

Some of the antics of those protesting outside the ground were over the top. No issue with them sharing their views but some among them were doing it in the wrong way and not taking into account those around them as the OP mentioned.

This crossed my previous response to Debian.

If that's the case then it's not acceptable. Did Plod make any effort to silence them?

Hi Barney, you don't have kids I presume? Imagine if you did, and some guy with a megaphone said they were going to be murdered by the folks inside the stadium.

Debian - whether I have kids or not is immaterial to the discussion (full transparency - I do have one).

Anybody taking a kid to a game involving Israel should recognise that there is a possibility that they may be subjected to opinions that they would not normally hear on their local Main Street.

Much the same as when I was taken to my first Thistle-Rangers game in 1966, and I naively asked the question 'Dad - what's fenian blood?.'

I wasn't allowed to a Thistle - OF game thereafter while living in the family nest.

We have to eradicate these things or accept them - in Scotland the procedure is to do the latter.

Lovely to hear that Pro Palestinian means shouting at Scottish weans about being murdered.  Just off the phone to my brother who took my nephew tonight and had a megaphone in his face with that message.

    Cunts

    You're a Sevco fan right?

You cannot be that thick to have posted the above in all seriousness.
