You are wrong there Barney. In thousands of peoples mind it is still 1690. All over Scotland and NI. The other half it is 1916. These people will never let go of the past. And will never change in our lifetimes unfortunately. Maybe I am just as bad. My subject is Scottish history from 500 till 1124 at Glasgow University. So maybe I am stuck in the past as well? I just like to learn about the history of my country. I would have hated to have been brought up in NI.
Aah thanks for the clarification SamP.

As a Killie fan we need him playing, and they probably can't afford to pay him off and quite honestly I don't care what he does or says in his own time.
It goes on at Ibrox and Parkhead every week and nothing is done. The faux outrage that a player has been caught saying it is mad.
We all know who and what Kyle Lafferty is. He's not the first and won't be the last in Scottish football.
It doesn't make it right and I'm not condoneing it, but there are much worse things going on in the world.
Get a grip of yourself.
Unacceptable behaviour is unacceptable behaviour.
Lafferty's behaviour isn't acceptable.
It isn't 1690 anymore. Despite what those who justify the Tribute Act may say.
-
Bigotry in any form isn'i acceptable.
So why are the 'events' that happen at Ibrox at this time every year - which have zero, zip, bugger all to do with football - allowed to proceed unencumbered by the SPFL?
Commemorations for deceased players is fair enough, but get anything that isn't directly related to the club - get that fired right into the sea.
It has no place in our game.
-
53 -43 = 10.
Which is the number of years the Tribute Act has existed.
St Johnstone have won more trophies in those ten years.
The Twitter world doesn't half throw up some spooky stuff.

Celtic were absolutely rancid today.
Matt Andersen - a wonderful Canadian blues/soul/americana guitarist is playing Oran Mor on 12th October.
Any opinions on him Ramy??

That might turn out to be a good point but at the moment it feels like two dropped…..missed chances again 😒
Celtic reacted badly to losing the goal - very much like last week.
They seemed to cede possession and momentum for a period after that.
Better in the second half but apart from GG's hack, there was no real chance created.
Yeah, probably a missed opportunity overall.

We haven't played Kosovo or Montenegro at senior level yet.
Both of which would be worthy away trips.

Azerbaijan.
And we haven't played Israel for at least three months.

looking the ticketbox site i think they were looking for a passport number and phone number. it might be diffrent for a home game and surely you dont have to have ukraine phone number as lots of pols might want to go as well
Ehm - have you thought that through?
Your punctuation also needs attention callum83.

I personally think she died on Thursday morning, with the announcement embargoed until after 6pm.
Died in her sleep overnight.
Too many signals - notes being passed in HoP at noon, BBC changing schedules, presenters suddenly appearing in dark clothes, and embargo until 1830 to allow the clan to get to Balmoral.
And the lack of detail since.

Ffs. Some reporter on C4 saying perhaps she wanted to die in Scotland to help renew the bonds of the union. That has to be the lowest of the low .
That was Matt Frei of all people.
He certainly lowered his normally high standards with that observation.

Which Scotland match was called off for Diana's funeral?
McCoist was quite vocal at the time, I believe.
I wasn't going then, but would be mightily pissed off now - what with flights and hotels paid for - if thousands of fans were inconvenienced for the funeral of someone none of us know.
Scotland v Belarus @ Pittodrie, originally scheduled for the day of the funeral (Saturday 6th September). It was moved to the Sunday.

Posting 2 hour sales slots on a Saturday afternoon is fuckwittery and bampottery that even I thought the SFA could not descend to.
I will be at Somerset Park on Saturday afternoon supporting my team.
And I'm sure numerous others on a similar points level will be following their club too on Saturday.
Admittedly the SFA haven't been dealt a good hand with this fixture, but that sales programme is inexcusable.

Matt O'Riley challenging Jota for player of the year?

This one's been a poor show by every authority involved - UEFA, SFA and Ukrainian FA.
That it went until a couple of weeks ago for the Ukrainian FA to confirm the venue is squarely on UEFA, however the lack of ticketing information from the SFA beyond holding e-mails less than 4 weeks from the fixture is simply not acceptable.
While it is understandable in the circumstances that the travelling support may not be the highest priority, the lack of basic information and consideration from the SFA cannot be allowed to pass without criticism. At the very least an indication as to what the likely allocation could be and accordingly the likely points requirement shouldn't have been impossible for the SFA to communicate.
Goodwill has been eroded over this fixture for sure.

Thistle finally find a way to defeat Arbroath - for the first time in 20 years! 😂
And hopefully we'll repeat the result on Saturday for our first league win at Arbroath since 1973.

Not everyone has endless amounts of time to travel round Poland , clearly you have but it’s all very well saying take a train but you do realise that involves extra time , particularly after the match ? You need to leave earlier and come back later to allow time to make flights . God only knows why our own fans seem to want to mitigate the Ukrainians being twats this should have been announced weeks back
The other factor to bear in mind is that until the venue is confirmed, the ticket allocation also remains unknown.
It is understandable if many consider it's too much of a gamble to book without certainty of venue and allocation.

It’s only on Rangers TV. Premier had the first leg so not sure why they don’t have the return.
Is it a carry-over from the fallout when Chris Sutton was denied access to Ibrox last season?

I don't disagree with any of the posts on here about it being frustrating and like all on here I'm still waiting to know where to book my flights to but we are hardly gonna look good criticising a nation in the middle of a war with Putin. And god knows what their male supporters are going through in comparison to what we are complaining about. And yeah I absolutely I know and agree there really is no reason at all for them vacillating (I had to look that one up as thought it was something for piles!) as you'd imagine it it really has to be somewhere in Poland. Maybe each time they have to announce playing outside Ukraine it hurts a bit ?. Not looking to be confrontational.... just saying......
No problem with your view, but for heaven's sake they must at least be letting the SFA what the plan is, otherwise how can they (SFA) plan for the game?
Do you seriously think the SFA don't have some kind of clue where the game will be played some six weeks away?

Bit of a soft penalty, I thought. Not that 2-0 flattered USG at all.
Wouldn't want that penalty awarded against Thistle, but let's not deny that GVB's mob were to the south of properly committed.
Night and day compared to their away (and home) European performances so far this year.

Sevco in not doing enough due diligence on the opposition shocker.
Ian Black's comments on the VAR decision on BBC Scotland just now were laughable.

By scoring more goals than they do.
Same way we've beaten every other 'heavyweight' team (Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, England, France, Ukraine, Croatia, Sweden etc).
We have previous for doing so.
