Ayr needing a miracle at Somerset next week after that showing tonight.

Strange thing is, we (Thistle) weren't that good tonight.

Even then, we could/should have had another few goals (Graham x 2, Fitzpatrick x 2, Turner). That said, using the same metric, Ayr could/should have had three of their own (McGuire early on, Dempsey and Smith at the end).

We're in an excellent position but have to start better next Friday.

There is no old firm. To answer your question mate, the answer is no. We are the first club for it to happen to. We got fucked. Can't win the league in front of our fans. 3 away matches away to start is a disgrace, but expected....

Cheap semantics on your part Ramy.

The Old Firm existed when the split was introduced. Doesn't make my question any less valid. I'm certain neither has had to visit Celtic Park or Ibrox three times in a league season, but other grounds?

I need to find someone to give me some pension advice.  Got made redundant a couple of years ago and the company scheme I'd been paying in to for the best part of 20 years has dropped around 20% in value since I stopped paying in to it.  Granted that's coincided with Covid and the Russia/Ukraine war so maybe to be expected however my new company scheme value is already sitting at around 25% of the value of the old one and I've only been paying in to to it for around 10% of the time!  Seems a no brainer to transfer the old one in to the new but have to admit to being a bit clueless in this area and wary of the risk.  I've got a financial adviser I use for a few things but typically he does everything except pensions!

First thing is to establish whether your current employer will permit a transfer in to their scheme. In some industries it's becoming increasingly common for employers to close their scheme to transfers from previous employers.

Secondly, if your current employer does allow transfers in, then ask your previous employer for a transfer value from that scheme. You are entitled to receive one without any obligation to act upon it should you decide it's not advantageous. Based on that transfer value, your current employer should be able to tell you how many years/months your transfer value will purchase in their scheme.

You are entitled to receive that basic information from both employers. None of the above will entail any cost on your part. Once you have a clearer idea of the figures then you will be able to assess the options.

Hope this is in some way helpful.

The "worst" VAR decision he's seen?! 😄 It's soft, yeah, but he pushes the defender. It's a foul. The ref gives a foul, there's no way that's getting overturned.

This is what confused me watching the game today.

When was the memo sent that says you can put your hands on defenders/attackers and pull their jerseys when going for a dead ball?? If you do that it midfield in open play IT'S A FOUL because THAT'S THE RULE. Unless I'm mistaken that same rule applies in the penalty area - there is no dispensation for dead ball starts.

Listening to Walker, McCoist, Boyd et al today was cringeworthy. Morelos and Johnson were all over each other and both were contrary to the rules of the game as they stand. So, the goal wasn't valid, but it could equally as well have been a penalty.

Mind you, it was probably worth it for Boyd's seethe at half time. You can take take Kris out of Tarbolton.................

    Agree on all points.

Oddly though, in the first half, I thought QP played some of the best football I've seen them play this season, even when they humped us 4-0 at Firhill earlier in the season.

Thistle were comfortably the better team in the second half though and look like a team reborn under Kris Doolan.

QP were indeed decent in the first half but lacked any focal point up top. Ironically Simon Murray (whom they transferred to Ross County in January under curious circumstances) scored today. So who knows?

Even with Arbroath doing us a wee favour today, those ten points dropped at home to Cove and Hamilton look like being very expensive.

Having said that, really enjoying the Doolan effect on McCall's squad - hell we even scored twice e last night when Cammy Smith was on the park!!!

Not one pundit on Sky or Radio Scotland thought it was a foul and Morellos goal should have stood.  Can't see the Rangers fans complaining to SFA, their local MP or everyone that will listen to the eternal victims.  Dignity in defeat is something the victims canny do.  It's always somebody else's fault.  Celtic deserved to win as created more chances.

How did your beloved Raith Rovers get on today?

QP pumped 4-1. It's getting interesting now..Partick only 3 points of the top. Ma neighbor Davy doin backflips..🤣

    Just back from the game.

QP weren't even good enough to get one Ramy. The second Thistle goal was a work of art - seek it out.

It's Dundee's title to lose now.

Queens Park looking like they might just bottle it in the run in after a home defeat tonight. Dundee and Ayr closing in and the dark blues have a game in hand 🤔

Bottling it is the way to go in the Championship.

    As the Jags did tonight.

Dundee are utter toilet, and Ayr are too reliant on Akinyemi. Neither of those will go up.

QP have done the hard yards now, which I expect will see them through.............just.

The SFA do not want the Celtic Supporters celebrating at Ibroke after the split as we all know the league will be won. The sevconians can't handle it.. The VAR issue? I was just being cheeky as I still believe the Rangers get more favors than any other club in the league. They have still yet to concede a penalty and their have been many calls go their way.. Maybe I am paranoid, It's just the way I see it VA. Enjoy your match with Hearts today..🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👊🙂

You clearly missed VAR awarding a penalty to Thistle at Ibrox last month then.

(And no, I couldn't believe it either).

If Lineker hadn't referenced Nazi Germany and the comparison then nothing would have been spoken about this weekend.  It's not rocket science.  As I said in my original post it was this reference that done it.  As for the first poster who responded and called me a moron.  When you resort to name calling you have already lost the argument.

The root cause of the issue here is a Tory immigration policy that they themselves openly admit is very likely to breach the European Convention of Human Rights. It is also being being delivered by a Home Secretary whose competence for the role is constantly being exposed as questionable.

As you say, it's not rocket science. Whether you agree with it or not is immaterial, if you are unable to understand Gary Lineker's quite valid viewpoint then you ARE a moron.

The Smiddy is probably not the ideal pub for me to be watching Rangers games….

To be honest FB, I knew nothing about the Smiddy until I was informed it would be showing the Jags game a couple of weeks ago. Having received further information about its 'leanings', I chose not to go there to watch it. I do not expect to visit it now or in the future.

I was trying to find a pub in the west end a couple of weekends ago to watch the Rangers Thistle game which was on Viaplay and struggled to find anywhere that definitively said they had the channel.  Most of the known football bars on their website or Facebook would say they had Sky/BT but I could only find one that said they had Premier Sport so wasn't even sure if they still had it as Viaplay.  Didn't go out in the end so I'm none the wiser!

    Watched Sevco-Jags in Gallus.

Also certain that Tennents, Coopers and the Smiddy all have Viaplay.

And I won't be commenting on the OF game tomorrow as I have no interest.  Scotland is my interest.  I will leave the football comments to everyone else tomorrow.  Your big pal will have 100 comments pre kick off, during and after the game.  VAR and the Masonic referees will get a mention I am sure.  Night night.

That's a relief - it'll be proof of whether or not you are a person of your word.

And he isn't my pal - he's a fellow poster whom you belittle and libel at every opportunity. I may not agree with much of what he says but he does not deserve one iota of what you and Dandydunn fling at him.

You post that kind of stuff and then wonder why the TA Board has tanked?

Have a look at yourself FFS.

Enjoy the rugby and here's to a Scotland win.

And therein lies the bigotry.  The Rangers and Celtic managers both agreed that it was one of the biggest derbies in the world.  The man child says it is not,yet started a thread on it against a team that doesn't exist anymore.  His tunes of bigotry and terrorism will be on already. But, but, he is a new man seemingly lol.

Why do you feel the need to accuse and goad him?

For someone who claims to be in their fifties you come across as nothing other than immature and vindictive.

One other thing, if, as you claim, you are watching the rugby tomorrow, then thankfully we'll be spared you posting about the OF game on here.

Or of falsely accusing fellow posters of being bigots...........................
