Bit of a waste as @thinkermcternan appears to be his old twitter account
@johnmcternan is his present one

First impression is that The Tory's could well set us on the road to home rule within the Union as they want the same for England
Labour however want to preserve the Union at all costs and are offerering us shite as they realise;
1 Home rule is a step nearer to breaking up the Union
2 Home rule for England lessens the chances of Labour being in power at this moment in time
(Obviously not in that order)
-
Dont know what to make of that at all
As im a bit of a cynic my first impression was it must be pish but i obviously will wait for the truth to come out
What makes it a bit dubious is the guys other vids & likes on Youtube
Secondly If there really was an attempt at electoral fraud by powers unknown would they leave hundreds of Yes votes undestroyed in a bin bag to be found by a well known "exposer of miscarriages of justice" ?
If it looks like shite and tastes like shite then it probably is ...shite (as much as i would like it to be true)

All SNP MPs will be voting against the motion

Both Yes and No had been sampling postal votes, thats not a crime. What is though is not keeping their findings secret.
Sampling postal votes is not supposed to be a process to determine how people have voted
The sample postal vote openings, which were attended by agents from both campaigns ahead of polling day, were held to confirm personal identifiers - the date of birth and signature - on the postal ballots matched those held on official records.
The ballot papers are supposed to be kept face down when postal voting packs are opened so postal ballot agents and observers are unable to see how people have voted.
The Scottish Independence Referendum Act 2013 states that those attending the sample openings must not "attempt to ascertain at the proceedings in connection with the receipt of the ballot papers the outcome for which any vote is given in any particular ballot paper or communicate any information with respect thereto obtained at those proceedings".
Anyone convicted of breaching the law can be jailed for up to a year, and/or receive a fine of up to £5,000.

That was a utterly bizarre statement. He's basically suggesting that parties can promise whatever they like in an referendum (and election) campaign and never be held accountable for it.
That was the shiny faced No voter in the audience that said that George
-
The shiny big nosed burd on QT did not want any more powers and will always vote No
Id like to think that most No voters did want change but wanted change within the UK - but there are folk like her that didnt
Those that have no interest in any change and do not want to see powers that can make Scotland a better place by improving the economy etc i just cannot fathom
maybe someone can explain it
-
"No meant No whatever was promised"?
ffs...
Aye - i have no interest in new powers to make Scotland a better place.
-
Its cut and dried
Remember the BBC show the weekend before the referendum where Andrew Neil interviewed Galloway and then Sheridan ?
Also on that programme was John McTernan (who i despise more than the Alexander Brothers and Jim Murphy) who also admitted the postal votes had been sampled and No was well ahead

tonight's Scotland 2014 on BBC2 has a piece reviewing whether the BBC were biased ..................

Have had 2, possibly 3 nests at the back of the house up around the guttering and in the eves.
There have been hundreds of them but havent had an issue and they have minded their own business
Getting to that time of year where they are now of the Wellington Bomber size and getting more and more active and disorientated.
I had a lovely threesome in the shower this morning. It was still dark and they were already busy outside the nest above the bathroom window and they must have been attracted by the bathroom light - 10 minutes later i got them and could go back in the shower
Also have one above the kitchen window and a brave spider (havent seen the size of it yet) had two metre long triplines connected to a big web right underneath the eves. There was a wasp cocooned in silk two nights ago and eaten the next morning. Spider clearly got it and waited till night time when none of the family around to sook it dry.
However last night the web appeared mangled and a bit dead - possibly the wasps got spidey
Anyway after the shower incident my cousin's pal came round with the protective gear and gassed them all this afternoon. Loads of dead wasps on the back path and no more hovering around the guttering
Long story short - i miss them

Of course the support is divided. There's Yes voters, No voters and people who don't really care.
FoS will be an utter embarrassment. The whole world knows that we shat it when we had the chance to actually be a nation again.
We are effectively a laughing stock across the planet and singing this song is like being too stupid to notice everyone else at the party is laughing at you.
I will not be singing it.
Totally
I'm going one better and wont be there for the forseeable future

I think, deep down, beneath the teeth, the silly voice and the general gormlessness, there is a good guy in Ed Milliband. I think in his heart of hearts he would like to return Labour to being a left-wing party but he doesn't possess the guile or strength of personality to do it.
Men like Wilson, Callaghan and Foot were all political giants compared to Milliband and they found leading Labour a challenging (albeit they were active in a very different era).

Ah, so that's where you get them drama queen from?

Another war in the middle east
Possible Tory/UKIP coalition and or alliance (think the Tory's will have their own majority though)
£25 billion in cuts on the way
Shed loads of UK civil service job cuts in Scotland
More privitisation of public services
The list is endless for increasing another referendum opportunity
We only need to win once

found out at weekend my old uncle voted Yes
i knew he served in ww2 , but was'nt until recently that got a clearer picture , as he gave his campaign medals to my son , and told us some stuff for sons school presentation
he left home in Edinburgh as a young loon (beaten by his Dad) ; signed up with the Gordons - in Western Europe, then Egypt and Palestine after VE day
settled in Aberdeen , worked the trams and buses rest of his working life - more of a man than i'll ever be
he can barely walk to the end of the street without holding onto fences , but still made the effort to get out to put the X on he fought for
who are you to pass judgement
Agreed - my Dad is 83 and he could not wait for me coming home to take him down to Vote Yes
Even told the No canvasser that he would move to America if it was a No vote
(obviously he wouldnt and it was for effect which was magic)

I'd be particularly grateful if anyone who voted No (and I appreciate that might not be easy to say on this board at this time - except for the obvious trolls) could explain how they see this and whether this is what they wanted.
I can almost guarantee you that the No voters on here did not vote that way because they thought Scotland would get more powers.
They will be the ones that Annabel Goldie referred to this evening as people that simply want to be a part of the UK and have no interest in any more powers. They probably wouldnt even bother if the Scottish Parliament was dissolved
-
Its getting more and more likely that the SNP are going to be pushing for home rule in the short term - full powers except defence and foreign policy
A good tactic i feel on the road to full indy. Pete Wishart has just posted this which i think is telling in the run up to oor Nicola taking over
(be careful reading it - it took my eyes a minute or so to adjust after it. Maybe just me)
http://petewishart.wordpress.com/2014/09/23/moving-on/
Ive also noticed a common theme from the unionists - "the majority have voted to be part of the UK which implies no change or more powers are wanted "
Labour guy said that last night and repeated by Annabel Goldie tonight

You are one of my favourite posters on here now.
(Crazy world eh ).

If it was 70% No in postal votes, then we lost by around 320,000 votes. On the day, it would've been 51% No; 49% Yes.
It was very close on the day...
Well to be pendantic maybe the postal votes were even more weighted towards No - would explain prediction before 10.30pm !
-
(ps Hi to Ally Bongo, very nice to meet you. )
You too Plinthy and i did miss you
We have something in common now

I dont think that it is wrong to assume that on the day of the vote more people voted Yes than No but obviously not by a huge margin. This was the impression given by those that were at the polling stations and on social media.
I struggled to therefore understand why the head of YouGov would put his reputation on the line before even half an hour had passed when the polls closed and state that he was 99% sure that No had won.
The only reason he could do this was if the almost 800,000 postal votes had been sampled - remember that No won by 400,000 votes.
It might be naive but if the postal votes were untampered and they showed a clear majority for No (say 70-30 or maybe even more) then there would have been no requirement to have any major tamporing or rigging of the ballot box votes - not that there were a few minor cases.
As most postal votes would have been from pensioners this would go hand in hand with the demographic results where over 70% of those aged 65 and above voted No
So it all makes more sense ..maybe
