  1. Clarke tries nothing new during friendly games, yet his record in them is appalling. The NI game was an opportunity to at least do something different, yet all we witnessed was another central midfielder dominated piss poor performance.

There seems to be a notion that Clarke is untouchable amongst a number of fans, he isn't the messiah, he isn't brilliant, and he does do things that warrant criticism. I know that some people can't quite grasp that, but your loyalty toward him isn't replicated by everyone else.

When we do well under him, he gets praised, when we do poorly under him, he absolutely deserves criticism. We have three games in June to look forward to. If he gets it right, he will be a national hero, if it goes badly like the last Euros, then he will be due every single bit of criticism heading his way.

Two years ago. Things have changed. I think that even the OP has said he wouldn't sack him now. Apologies if I have got that bit wrong?

How dare you actually read something correctly. That isn't allowed on this thread.

    Here's a fact - 2 Euros in a row qualified for.

Here's another fact, 22 years of qualifying for fuck all before then.

    Entirely irrelevant 👍

Lol our manager has us qualifying with two games to spare and you think he should be sacked. Fuck me this place is laugh at times.

Might be a laugh, but can you actually read?

As much as tonight was unacceptable and the other 2 games you mention we werent at our best. None of them mattered.

That attitude is nonsense. Every game matters, every single one. No wonder we struggle to improve.

Up until tonight we have been playing like a really good footballing team for a 2 or 3 years now. Tonight was a throw back to darker times but lets just hope we can get back to where we were.

Simply not true, you're just glossing over what you don't want to see.

Cyprus was good, England was embarrassing, Spain was decent, France was humiliating, Georgia was insipid, Norway was poor, Netherlands was decent before we collapsed and NI was dreadful. Think thats all we have played this season, we haven't been a really good footballing team this season, let alone 2-3 years.

I wanted him sacked a couple of years ago, I fully believe he deserved it.

Im not calling for him to be sacked now, but results and performances are very worrying, formations, tactics and substitutions are very questionable. We have went backwards over the last year, even allowing for the teams that we have played & he needs to stop this slide. If he doesn't, then I fear Germany will be another 1 point gained, 1 goal scored waste of time.

  6. You can only piss with the cock that you have.

Tell the Greece team that won the Euros that, tell Leicester that won the English Premier League that, hell, tell Michael O'Neil that tonight.

A good manager makes a squad of players better than they are. Forgetting the 4 big teams that we have played recently, we were shocking tonight, very poor in Georgia and average at best against Norway.

People can't on one hand say that Clarke has solved so many problems, then defend him for squad limitations when we can't perform against a far inferior side, which NI certainly are. Our last good performance is a very long time ago, Clarke needs to get things sorted, and quickly.

No matter how you spin it, 5 defeats and 2 draws, with a defence that is completely incapable of defending is worrying. Clarkes strong point was meant to be, being solid and organised, well anyone that has watched us over the last year would be very surprised at that.

  7. Happy for Poland to have beaten Wales, but they looked pretty damn poor in extra time. They also cost me a fortune in bets thanks to their dismal qualifying campaign, bastards.

Georgia is a wonderful country, but their fans at the recent game in Georgia were absolute utter scum, and their team is just as bad. A year ago, I would have wanted them to qualify, but can't say Im happy for them now.

In fairness not many countries would hang onto a manager after the string of results like that

We will - failure is acceptable

He should have been sacked after Dublin, Id guess thats when I started this thread.

He won't be sacked now, even after a run of 7 games without a win, during which we have played Spain, England, France & Netherlands. Personally think that the Georgia away and Norway at home games were pretty dismal, and obviously tonight was worse than that.

When Clarke gets it right, Spain at home, Denmark at home for example, we can be very good. But we are incredibly poor at times under him, and he looks clueless in regards of how to change things. IMO, he is holding us back, and we would get more from this squad with another manager. I know that some will disagree, especially the Steve Clarke loyal, but its my opinion.

"defeat raises serious questions " - it sure does.  I've been vocal supporter of Clarke but not I am messaging close pals saying might he be out the door?

    No, he won't. Cmon now.

Im obviously not his biggest fan, but he will be here for the Euros, there isn't any question over that IMO.

  10. Shankland has to be absolutely fucked off this week. Starts up front on his own away to one of the highest ranked teams in the world, then sits on his arse as we never look like scoring against a team ranked in the sixties at home.

Who needs goals. Or chances from creative midfielders.

Its fine, lets give Shankland 15 minutes at the end of the game, oh, and another central midfielder just for the sake of it.

  11. System works fine as it is.

If you're too poor to afford it, then its just tough luck. Im too poor to afford a Ferrari, so I drive a Ford. Im too poor to live in a mansion on a country estate, so I live in a flat.

Everyone has an opportunity to get home points, there have been plenty of away games recently when low pointers could have purchased a ticket.

Not to upset the thread, just a comment on your comment. I don't like you, never have, yir a fuckin bellend. I can have a debate or argument with anyone else on this board except you. You are a fucking arrogant narcissist prick, who knows fuck all about football, let alone Scottish football. This is written with all do respect. I would say it to your face if we ever meet... Enjoy your day in the land of the rising hun or wherever the fuck you live.....

Here is my number, give me a call and we can discuss 0141 530 1000. If you want to say it to my face, I have no real objection to that, Im always up for a laugh with at you. You will need Skyscanner to book a flight, and then a wee step ladder, lets get this in the diary soon.

With all due respect old chap, you needed to have the playoffs explained to you, I don't think I will take any lessons on Scottish football from you.

I've made my peace with it now. Aberdeen are going down.

That team has no fight in it. They won't beat raith or united in a playoff.

    Cormack is an idiot.

Don't be daft man, thats never going to happen.

However, your performance at Dens last night was as bad as Ive seen Aberdeen. Dundee were pretty damn poor, but you never looked like scoring. We only scored because of a ludicrous penalty though.
