Has he played the race card yet?

Maybe he’s learned his lesson after the last time during the nursery debacle when it back fired on him after it turned out the owners were members of the BAME community 😂😂😂

    WTF are you on about?

The first thing I'd ask any candidate is "define "woman".  That should give you a fair idea of who to eliminate from any sensible shortlist for an election for leader.

Why is that bit so important to you? I can't get my head around why such a minor issue has gained so much importance.

This would be the worst possible time for Kate Forbes to become leader. She should bide her time until all the current pile of shyte has been through the fan. Hopefully she is smart enough to realise that she has plenty time on her side.

Especially when they have previously managed the club and been ineffective at best.

Another leadership contest. At least by retaining my membership I can have another say but if no one is nominated that I feel is competent for the job I wont bother voting. Picking the best of a bad bunch is pointless plus I am not encouraging a party that just makes the same mistakes again.

Has anyone got confirmation of Alba’s demands yet? It would be good to know if they were taking the piss or the high heid yins will just never entertain AS.

Starting to look like you won't get to vote this time round.

  4. If he resigns he shouldn't step down immediately. He should say he is staying on as FM until a new SNP leader can be elected, the same as Nicola did. That pretty much nullifies the Tory VONC, although they would probably still want to have it, just to add more humiliation onto to Humza. But the result would be largely irrelevant. Then Labour need to gamble on whether to go ahead with their VONC. Do the Greens and Ash want to bring down the whole SG? Is this really a good time for an election for any of the parties? Not the Tories, that's for sure.

Did you see the terms? Alba - a party with microscopic share of the Scottish electorate was asking SNP to stand down their candidates in seats Alba were contesting. Why would you even bother? It is signing away seats that the SNP fought long and hard to win over the years so that an Alba candidate can stand in their place and win inconsequential amount of votes? Why?

Have you seen the terms? I don't think you have.

I'm starting to believe that the SNP are deliberately trying to make Alba being seen as the party that brought down the SNP Government

    It is absolutely fucking madness

It is going to get to the point that most folk that desperately want Independence are going to come round to the idea of burning down the whole SNP, Government and Party is the only option

Divide and rule. The number one ploy of the British establishment playbook.

Not yet - fuckers like Leaky Liz Lloyd and Stewart McDonald are trying to claim back the narrative and prop him up - by attacking Alex Salmond and Alba

I'm not sure how that is going to help their cause? Unless they think they can still persuade at least one of the Greens to bail him out?

So you think that crisis was worse than this? Bearing in mind we have doubts over Armstrong, Gilmour and one or two others walking the injury tightrope plus Ferguson ruled out too.

    Yes.

This is definitely the worst injury crisis we have had going into a major tournament (World Cup or Euros). Unbelievable how many key players we have been deprived of and are carrying knocks.

In 1978 we lost three quarters of a world class defence. McGrain, Jardine and McQueen were 3 of the best defenders in the world at that time. Jardine did play in the second game, but he hadn't fully recovered from his injury.

Okay, I'm still a little bit new to how Holyrood works and am happy to be corrected. But isn't there a degree of hypocrisy here for anyone who votes in favour of Sarwar's VONC motion, except the Tories. After all, didn't the Greens, Labour and Lib Dems all vote in favour of a lot of the contentious bills that the Scottish Government passed e.g. HCA, GRR, DRS, HPMAs etc.

And, the VONC is in the Sottish Government. Of those bits of legislation that you mention, only two if them were ever voted on, and they were passed by the Scottish Parliament not the Scottish Government. A subtle but important difference.

There is always a heavy dose of hypocrisy in most things that politicians do. I would guess they would argue that the VONC isn't about those bits of legislation that they themselves voted for. I haven't seen the details of Sarwar's VONC motion, though.

OK, I've just looked at Sarwar's motion. Not a pleasant job but somebody has to do it. 🤣 It's just a vague one liner, so it could be construed to mean anything they want it to.
