Excellent news
-
It's 9.45, how come you lit have seen it?
The first screening is at 2am on a Monday morning, it's available to download from sky on demand as well.
-
Jesus Christ. That was savage even by GOT standards.
Way past the books now.
J
My thoughts exactly
-
for me its too close to call
Its a massive test as to where we are as a team, if we want to qualify we must be beating the team in 4th at this stage of qualifying
-
Personally I think it's great. If it's boring because it's the same teams challenging every year, tell me what league doesn't just have 2/3 teams competing for the title. The fact that barca hasn't won it for 4 years & no team has won 2 in a row shows not that predictable. Also 7 different winners in last 10 years ain't bad
All 7 from the top 4 richest football nations and it would be very surprising if anyone out with those 7 teams wins it again, if it happens it will be for one of two reasons, a club finds itself a billionaire or a complete fluke. The fact that barca have won four of the last 10 means it is predictable.
There was a time when European premier competition could be won by a much much larger pool of teams, it had prestige and it was a novelty, now that pool of teams is down to about 8 at most. The group stages are a massive borefest because the outcome of each group is more or less set because of seedlings. Sure you might get the odd victory for the likes of Celtic winning against barca but ultimately Celtic go out and barca will progress to the latter stages.
Even the last 16 is quite boring, the last 8 is where it gets quite intense because the super rich clubs finally have a challenge from another super rich club. These super clubs have the best talent in the world which means the "pretty" football they play will continue to attract the arm chair fan even though most of the games screened are pish.
With these clubs getting stronger and stronger every year they will only ever have the odd year of transition till they return to the top of the European tree. Unless there is an overhaul of the European cup we will see the same super clubs dominate this competition whilst domestic tournaments are devalued.
As for your comment on domestic leagues being predictable, well it's for the same reasons as above, the super rich clubs dominate because of their vast wealth compared with the rest of their leagues, where do they get that vast wealth.......the champions league and its TV money. Just because leagues are now all as predictable as each other does not make it right. At least Scotland was first at something, we were the first to allow such a gap to be created between a couple of big clubs and the rest.........although it's just one club now.

This fawning over Suarez is hilarious, he bites three different people in his chosen profession and all of a sudden he deserves to be a CL winner. The guy is an arsehole
-
Yea wait til it goes in play and pick something that might make you a wee bit. You can wait as long as you like in the game.
Got you, cheers kirk
-
I haven't watched a full CL match since Liverpool won it in 2005.
I have money on the game tonight but I doubt even that will be enough to hold my attention to it
-
Right, I'm not that good at this betting malarkey but I've slapped £20 in a bet365 account
I've used £10 to bet on barca to win with the first bet, should I go for something a bit more adventurous with the 2nd since I get it refunded should lose?
Does that sound right?

Come on murray
-
This is an incredible match to watch
If/when they break for tonight it will benefit djockovic more than Murray. Novak looks spent on some points
-
Djock break straight back.
This next one is massive
-
It's too late to go back now
I voted USA but only because it was the least shit of both options. If it had to be moved and I had any say in it, I'd give it to Australia
-
Worst behaviour I saw all day was Rangers fans downstairs in main stand at half time. Scum.
This is hilarious http://www.vanguardbears.co.uk/article.php?i=61&a=vb-admin-statement---fir-park-31st-may
Mutants. Same mutants who coordinated George Square riot last September.
Comedy gold.
I read elsewhere that the thug with the flag is being named and threatened on a Rangers forum. I can't say whether that's accurate though, I read it on another forum.

Moshni tried to go for Erwin outside the ground, he then clashed with supporters and had to be escorted on to the bus

Foster has been terrible. Every pass misplaced.
Foster is a terrible footballer, always has been. I'm amazed he's managed to carve out a career from football
-
Great second half
Congrats to ICT on their first major trophy. They will have one hell of a party tonight

I don't have a problem with the majority of this but Im undecided on whether you can blame the clubs for what is a bigger issue within Scottish society.
I'm more inclined to have the Police actually do their job more forcefully on match days and actually wade in and arrest the m0rons who taint our clubs and our country.
I don't want this to be a whataboutery thread but what should we be doing and who too?
Do you not think that the two clubs could do more to eradicate this?
-
other than their goal I don't think I've heard the ICT fans once
-
-
Since there's a Scotsman in the villa line up I want them to win.
It would be great to have Hutton full of confidence for the Ireland match

Will shinnie continue the diving when he plays for the sheep
I hope so

Does nobody else think that summer football would have an adverse effect on the calibre of player that will come to the SPFL?
