  1. Aberdeen gave a great account of themselves yesterday, where had that type of fight been in other games this season?

On the other hand I am once again sickened with scottish football and its referees. Its bad enough that teams have to play the old firm in a non neutral venue but to play against such terrible referees

Just focusing on Aberdeen, some of the incidents we've seen this season with the help of VAR have been jaw dropping. The final against rangers. A foul on an Aberdeen player in the box in the dying minutes - no foul despite the same VAR ref awarding rangers an identical foul against Aberdeen at Pittodrie. The recent match at livi, the sfa openly admitted yhe refs took a guess that a player was offside and now the semi final where aberdeen were denied a stone wall penalty. Yesterday's incident felt like Robertson and his team were desperately searching for a reason not to award the penalty, they found a pathetic reason for a non foul on Johnston. Nothing will be done, if that was against either side of the OF there would be outrage across the board but it's only one of the OF cannon fodder so fuck em.

I hope hearts win this cup. If they do they will no doubt babble on about 3rd force and their attendances, they're welcome to that, being the 3rd force in Scottish football is nothing to be proud of BUT a clean sweep of old firm winners is never and never should be looked at as a good thing.

It was awesome When rangers died and started again in the lower leagues, not because we all got to laugh at rangers but because other teams tasted glory and had days they will never forget. I can't remember the exact figure but I'm sure it's 9 different teams won a trophy.

Aberdeen, Celtic, Killie, St mirren, Ross County, ICT, St Johnstone and hibs.

Happy to be corrected on that list but we are now back to the OF clean sweep Zzzzzzzzz

I think Buckie will take it on GD - having Strathspey in their last 2 games was well planned eh; presume one of their earlier games were postponed?

EK will beat Clyde/Stranraer should it be them, but I feel Clyde/Stranraer would topple the HL team.

    Mental, I know!

Don't think any of the highland league sides are good enough to go up.

Buckie will win the league unless they have a massive brain fart like they did against deveronvale and Lossiemouth. Keith are their local rivals bit I can't see them taking anything from Buckie. Buckie lost the league on the last match of the season against Brechin last season. They lost its to fraserburgh by only 3 points the season before that. Its theirs to lose now.

Proper title race that. The chatter on the grapevine is Buckie and Fraserburgh wouldn't be too interested in promotion but obviously as an ex-SPFL club, Brechin are very keen to get back to League Two. Any insights into this VDA?

Tomorrow all three sides will be going for it in order to win the Highland League. Whomever it is would be a large underdog to East Kilbride in the playoff. Let's see how it all plays out.

Brechin definitely want to get back to league 2.

I'm not 100% on my team fraserburgh. I'm not sure they have the finances to support being in league 2. They rely mainly on youth from their own setup which for a highland league team is very impressive.

Don't know about Buckie, they can fuck off to the moon as far as im concerned.  😆

Aye ok..I know who reported me, same bag licker that shoots his mouth off and gets away with it.. Rules are simple on this board. If the MODS like you, you are untouchable, if they don't like you, "Big Ramy". You get suspensions.... I'm not grassing Doon The Slope, don't know him/ her to be honest, but certain comments are off limits, as why I was suspended...

Are you sure you weren't suspended because you were abusive?

Of course you wouldn't.. Then why did I get a 7 day suspension last week?  I made a comment about a fellow poster in a skirt couple year back, I got a 7 day ban as it was deemed homophobic. Therefore, Doon The Dope should be suspended. Certain folk can say whatever they want on here and get away with it,FACT !!

Ask the person who reported you or the mods...... I'm guessing the mods already told you why you were suspended but I'd take a wild guess at the reason being your aggressive and abusive attitude towards a few people last week. I was one of those people, I didn't report you as I accepted your apology but I can see why you were suspended.

If you feel you've been unfairly treated and suspended for less than what doontheslope posted, I advise taking this up with people who can actually do someone about it, the mods/admin.

Class act you really are. I got banned last week for apparently abusing another poster, let's see what happens here? You've got right off yir nut. The skirt comment alone is sexist, and homophobic, you deserve a ban definitely!! I would be crucified by the MODS if I posted this....

Strange that you don't feel slasher deserves a ban too...

Just for clarity, I don't believe slasher or doontheslope should be suspended

  7. SPFL Disciplinary Verdict Following an SPFL disciplinary hearing today, Dundee FC has been advised of the Tribunal’s findings as set out in the below SPFL press release, which in our view is inaccurate. Dundee FC has in fact been fined £150,000, of which £120,000 is suspended until the end of season 2024/25. This suspended element will be automatically triggered in the event of a single waterlogged pitch postponement next season. In addition, £36,429.60 is payable as compensation to the SPFL for television and pitch specialist costs. Dundee Football Club are deeply disappointed with the severity of the punishment and are currently seeking legal advice with regards to an appeal. The club will be making no further comment on the outcome while we seek legal advice.

SPFL Press Release Dundee fined for breaches of SPFL Rules At a disciplinary hearing today (18 April 2024), Dundee FC admitted five separate breaches of SPFL Rules relating to their Dens Park pitch. This followed postponements of cinch Premiership matches on 7 October 2023, 23 December 2023, 2 January 2024, 17 March 2024, and 10 April 2024. As a result, Dundee were fined £186,000, of which £120,000 is suspended until the end of season 2024/25. This suspended element will be automatically triggered in the event of a further breach of SPFL Rules relating to pitch condition next season. An SPFL spokesman commented: “SPFL Rules on pitch condition are an integral part of maintaining a fair league competition.”
