I think what's worrying them is how highly infectious/easily transferrable it is and it's that which makes it more dangerous

We have seen a few of these crop up over the years....bird flu and SARS from memory. I can’t remember any of those causing the cancellation or requirement to be football games behind closed doors.

Berwick will offer a sterner test on the last game of the season. Hugely improved side over last few weeks. Could see a draw happening.

I’m all for sterner tests, especially as Berwick are at Bonnyrigg two weeks today. A result there the weekend before Kelty go to Bonnyrigg would be ideal.

Total of 51 clubs in the west now expressed interest in WoSFL. Sounds like the end of the Junior game if even half of those sides move.

  3. Gerrard better than Scholes IMO.

Read Peter Crouch’s book. Mostly light heated but his final chapter is on Gerrard. Best player he ever played with. Talks about first encounter with him as a youth team player and also playing with him. He could do everything, run, pass tackle shoot. He dragged average Liverpool sides to honours they wouldn’t have had without him.

What's the point of  being in the finals if you don't deserve to be there?  Qualifying should be an achievement itself and should  mean you are one of the best 32 teams in the World or 24 teams in Europe.

i can remember when we'd be embarrassed to be involved in something like this.

Again, a fair point that its difficult to argue with. It probably just shows the levels we have dropped to and the desperation to get back to a major tourney that any route will be considered nowadays.

  5. I can't help but think that if this was any other Rangers manager who had lost top the bottom of the league side in the league, then lost to the bottom of the league side in the cup and then lost to the bottom of the league side at home in the league in the space of a few weeks then he would be out the door ASAP.

Unfortunately, in the competitions which really matter we have to play the likes of Belgium and well as the San Marinos and Gibraltars of Europe.

True. But we have more chance of getting to Euro 2020 via the Nations League, beating teams of round about our level, than we did in a group containing the best team in the world and Russia. I would rather be dicked by Belgium at the finals of a major tournament than in the qualifiers.

I honestly can't see anything that is remotely good about this whole set up.

Playing teams of our own level in competitive games is good for us IMO. Getting dicked home and away by the likes of Belgium is very dispiriting.

Was keeping an eye on the score, can't see Bonnyrigg overtaking them now. That was a massive win for Kelty.Decent crowd.

I had intended on going to Perth for the Bluebell game against Jeanfield but that fell to the weather again, lot of surface water on the pitch.Bluebell just signed young Jack Smith from Raith til the end of the season.

I read that it will be as you were next season with the EOSFL Premier and the 2 conference leagues but will be changing the season after that,no idea what the plans are though.

Kelty still have a couple of difficult games home and away v BSC in the remaining fixtures so Bonnyrigg still have a shout. BSC at Kelty on 1Oth March, a win there means Kelty can go to Bonnyrigg on 28th and a draw would suit.

We are playing much better football generally than we did under Murty or Warburton, so thats a big plus. However the consistency is worrying and it may be that had those two been given the same amount of cash, they would have done the same as Gerrard.

That said very few Rangers fans would want rid of Gerrard. If Gerrard goes, it will be his decision.

If Steve Gerrard wasn’t the high profile Steven Gerrard, ex Liverpool and England, do you think he would have been given as much time? That’s why I suggested Murty or Warburton but let’s say anyone without the profile he has? I would think there would be lots wanting him that manager out.

I have watched fair bits of both losses at Tynecastle and there seems to be a complete lack of fight and quality in those two games. That being said there has been plenty of fight in the 2 OF games prior to the split.

Celtic on the other have a claim lodged against them by 40 indivuduals for child abuse over a period of 40 years. Channel Four news suggested on Wednesday that this will be more than 100 by the time of the first hearing. That's a lot of compensation, if Celtic can't prove they had no links to the boys club- even if they settle out of court.

Have they? I must have missed that.

I would take Alex Thomson’s “tabloid” reporting with a pinch of salt. He was trying to claim that CBC were located in a building just outside Celtic Park and that’s where kids were abused. He even provided a very helpful map/picture with said building ringed to show how close it was to Celtic Park. Unfortunately for his claims, said building was the previous ticket office/Celtic pools shop and never housed anything to do with CBC. You would think any serious journalist making claims of this nature would have their facts correct. Obviously not....which calls into doubt all other parts of his claims IMO.

I get the feeling Gerrard will resign after they get emptied from Europe and blame the players for not ‘meeting his standards’ or some such shite.

The way he was talking last night it definitely sounded like he was questioning himself on whether he wanted to stay in the job.

Would be interested to hear the Rangers fans opinions on if that was say Murty or Warburton who had won (probably) nothing in 2 seasons while being well supported financially then would they be still in a job?

Magnificent. Has Slippy chucked any cunt under the bus again yet? The bus that’s reversing back into the station again as the parade has once again been postponed. Glorious. His CV is getting damaged and it’s beautiful to watch.

He seems to have managed to fit the entire starting 11 and subs under it after the game. Some going.

"I am feeling pain right now because I want to win here, I am desperate to win here. Looking from the side today, I didn't get the impression that the feeling amongst my players was the same.“

Whats happened to the Carpathian Maradona‘s Bairn? I was getting told he was the Second Coming a couple of weeks ago.

They didn't defend those long balls into the box like a team who are struggling. Dealt with them with ease.

To be fair I would fancy my chances of defending those long balls into the box, even at 50 and with a bad bout of sciatica at the moment, if I was up against Defoe. He was, and still is at times, a good striker but I don’t think any of his previous team’s persisted in playing high balls up to him. Rangers have, twice now, at Tynecastle.

Bonnyrigg 3 points behind Kelty with a game in hand.Big game on Saturday as the 2 face each other up in Kelty.

Cracking game today Wullie. 3-2 Kelty in front of a great crowd of 1,513.

Kelty fully deserved 3-1 HT lead. Dylan Eastons goal for second as good a strike as you will see all season. Lee Currie’s free kick for Bonnyrigg goal a belter too.

Bonnyrigg with the wind at their backs in second half got one back with about 30 mins too go. No idea how they didn’t get a third as there was some fair old stramashes in Kelty penalty box. They are a big old side.

Sets it up well for next month at Bonnyrigg.

Mitrovic is a championship player and Haaland is a child who won't be able to handle the expectation of a nation.

Neither of them contribute anything other than goals, and they won't score with our pressing game ensuring the ball is kept in their half.

We could of course play 4-3-3 and have a forward three that cant tackle for toffee.

    I love your optimism!

I was stunned to learn Mitrovic has 34 in 55 for Serbia.

  16. Confident of beating Israel and would be a bit more confident if final was at home. But away, against either side, its a very big ask. I don't think our defence is good enough and I don't think we have a big enough goal threat. In comparison Norway have an absolute monster of a goal threat in Haaland and Serbia have Mitrovic. We have no one at that level.

Belgium yes but I think not at the game you mean but my brother was at that one. Brother was also at Lithuania. Italy twice yes, Dortmund yes, Paris yes, Norway, Sweden, Czech Republic, Liechtenstein,  Brazil 😀, Wales (probably the worst away experience with Burley as manager then) Ireland and a few more before and around then and since. Good times.

You have probably described most of my aways around that period. I left Cardiff City stadium after 45 mins of that game. Are you sure you are not me?

Growing up and especially the early drinking years in and around boozers, it was always Celtic fans I found more fair and understanding of why us “diddy club” fans would think like this. There always seemed to be a lot of the “Get it right up you” pish from Huns. Cunts who no matter what just wanted to rub your pus in whatever.

Protestant Superiority Mentality, all bundled up into one phrase - We Are The People.

I used to take great delight in seeing Celtic beating Aberdeen and Dundee Utd, as well as ANY away win, in the 80's when things were more level. Nowadays its only putting Rangers back in their box gives me an interest. Well them and regular destruction's of Hearts to bring on another bout of Brassrubber seethe.
