BBC scoring had him at 8.45 - much higher than any other player. Facing Messi, Neymar and MBappe should prepare him for the step up to Dabbur, Solomon and Zahravi! Although I am being a tad facetious (unless PSG's front 3 are over -rated - certainly Neymar is), that Israel mob have me really worried.
Think this may be down to enthusiastic young scottish fans voting him a ten. Noticed that Gilmour usually gets a lot more than team-mates do.

wasn't sure that was offside..looking a little tired now.

Showing the senior lads how to finish...

Hearing from a source very close to the squad that it is only Mc Lean who is out injured .
Patterson seemingly ' threw the toys out the pram' when told he wouldn't start tomorrow night.
Fraser deselected as he refused to warm up at some point during the Moldova game.
Bit historical but apparently Ralston was called up before Denmark game ( after others couldn't play) but he had to withdraw because he contracted COVID.
Heard from a source close to the squad emotional healing therapist that mcTominay is not injured but was left out following a traumatic re-birthing session....

I think there were enough signs in the second half that we could hold an already qualified Denmark at Hampden. That point just may pip the Austrians to second place. And then... it IS the hope that kills...

Chelsea signing Niguez another top international central midfielder shows how far from Tuchel's thoughts Gilmour was and is. Heres hoping he does well enough at probably relegated Norwich to earn a move to a Premier League team by the end of the season...

I live in Manchester so maybe I’m biased but I’d rather live here and play in the premier league ha
Maybe Christie is looking towards his retirement, Bournemouth very popular for that...

Certainly there should be no 'free hit' but perhaps knowing not much is expected can allow Scotland to play without fear. Think he will put three deep in midfield , McLean joining Gilmour and McGregor with only Christie playing behind one striker. Probably Dykes for his hold up play....

Got told Mc came into existence because the English got fed up writing Mac during the clearances.
All our Mc's cant be of Irish decent?
Actually it was down to whatever officials (usually non-gaels) were in the habit of writing down in documents such as births deaths marriages or census. Could be Mac, Mc or often M' . Could be a capital or not at the next part.
Similar in Ireland.

Moyes is the only manager iv heard talk about actually supporting Scotland
True, Peter Martin is constantly namedropping how he and his great pal Moyesy traipsed around following Scotland and being a couple of right lads...

As a Thistle fan, I've had the benefit of watching Stephen O'Donnell for ten years now. He has not achieved his current status as Scotland's first choice RB/RWB through being a limited player. One other factor to bear in mind - what position did the current national team manager play? Not only that, the current manager was his club manager for two seasons or more. All valid considerations.
Nathan Patterson may well go on to become Scotland's best RB/RWB since Danny McGrain - and I sincerely believe he could be that good if he shapes up defensively - but not at this moment and probably not for a year or so.
Like BR I watched him in his Thistle days and early on picked him out as a future international. Why an ambitious English Championship club has not come in for him puzzles me. A lot of time with Clerke has ironed out the kinks. Nothing against seeing him for 'well in the Scottish Premier but he deserves the financial boost.

Surely Finland and Russia could both be left on three points with two wins each for Belgium and Denmark.....

Are you fuckin serious?????
Even more serious is the Sky Sports reports that Tierney didn't get on the bus to the airport - now refuted...whew!!

McGinn and McT were deeply disappointing and worse than the others in midfield. Time to start on the bench for McGinn and have him fired up and desperate to get on. McT back to RCB:
Gordon
Patterson McT Hanley Tierney Robbo
Fleck Gilmour Armstrong
Fraser Adams

Doesn't seem so weird - I remember going to Woodside Tavern straight from Firhill to find Chic Charnley who'd been subbed midway through the second half well into his second pint. "How'd the lads do?" he said keeping a straight face...
Still don't know why he never made the squad...

disjointed start seems to be a small pitch or are they just overhitting passes?

Yikes.
I feel even more confident that England will flop.
“I’ve just got a funny feeling that France aren’t at their best."
Good think he doesnt post here, otherwise his opinions would be dismissed as "controversial".
For the record, England will most probably lose in the 2nd round as they could face Portugal, France or Germany if England win the group.
Perhaps its best if we go easy on England and let them win the group then.....

Perhaps. He is still growing but I doubt he goes beyond 6"1.
He's the same height as Sergio Ramos and he is taller than Fabio Cannavaro and Carles Puyol, so it's not like there hasn't been "top class" 6 foot center backs. Nathan Ake and David Alaba are also both shorter than him.
There is no denying it is a massive disadvantage, especially in the Scottish game. But if he works hard on the other aspects of his game, then he can surpass those more physical adept.
Maldini was only 6ft 1" and the only defender I might rate above him, Baresi, was only 5ft 9". Tierney has shown how class and attitude are more important than height.

Scotland 2 - Czech Republic 1
England 2 - Scotland 2
Croatia 1 - Scotland 1
We go through in 2nd beat probably Sweden in next round.....

With the performance of Armstrong tonight I’m wondering if McTominay might be put back into defence after all. A midfield three of McGregor, Armstrong and McGinn seems quite likely.
Surely Hendry and Cooper both made a strong case, so no need to move McT back. Mebbe McGregor will pick up a wee knock and Gilmour will get a more lengthy shot at it...

Fraser is a better wingback than O'Donnell IMO
Mebbe a chance for Fraser to get much-needed game minutes, or perhaps Armstrong will get a try at wing-back as mooted by more than a few on here? He may go for Forrest though...

Surely time to shoehorn McT into another position and have him replace Adams up front? After all he plays for the biggest club in the world.... actually removing tongue from cheek that may not be a bad option in this particular match...
