  1. Surely time to shoehorn McT into another position and have him replace Adams up front? After all he plays for the biggest club in the world.... actually removing tongue from cheek that may not be a bad option in this particular match...
  2. Think this may be down to enthusiastic young scottish fans voting him a ten. Noticed that Gilmour usually gets a lot more than team-mates do.
  3. wasn't sure that was offside..looking a little tired now.
  4. Showing the senior lads how to finish...
  5. Heard from a source close to the squad emotional healing therapist that mcTominay is not injured but was left out following a traumatic re-birthing session....
  6. I think there were enough signs in the second half that we could hold an already qualified Denmark at Hampden. That point just may pip the Austrians to second place. And then... it IS the hope that kills...
  7. Chelsea signing Niguez another top international central midfielder shows how far from Tuchel's thoughts Gilmour was and is. Heres hoping he does well enough at probably relegated Norwich to earn a move to a Premier League team by the end of the season...
  8. Maybe Christie is looking towards his retirement, Bournemouth very popular for that...
  9. Certainly there should be no 'free hit' but perhaps knowing not much is expected can allow Scotland to play without fear. Think he will put three deep in midfield , McLean joining Gilmour and McGregor with only Christie playing behind one striker. Probably Dykes for his hold up play....
  10. perhaps now is the time to reconsider a back 4....
  11. Actually it was down to whatever officials (usually non-gaels) were in the habit of writing down in documents such as births deaths marriages or census. Could be Mac, Mc or often M' . Could be a capital or not at the next part. Similar in Ireland.
  12. True, Peter Martin is constantly namedropping how he and his great pal Moyesy traipsed around following Scotland and being a couple of right lads...
  13. Like BR I watched him in his Thistle days and early on picked him out as a future international. Why an ambitious English Championship club has not come in for him puzzles me. A lot of time with Clerke has ironed out the kinks. Nothing against seeing him for 'well in the Scottish Premier but he deserves the financial boost.
  14. gosh what a tough little boy!
  15. Surely Finland and Russia could both be left on three points with two wins each for Belgium and Denmark.....
