Never wanted him.My gut feeling is he's had 2 very good groups in a row, set is team up well in those obviously but he would never have qualified that NI team from our euro 2016 group or gotten top 2 in our last campaign. Step up in class between both groups and know one would be talking about him now.

Exactly this. Could never understand the clamour for O'Neill.

  2. When I think of the abuse McAllister got in subsequent games for missing that penalty in 1996 at Wembley I expect Craig Gordon to be given the same.

His reluctance to come off his line and claim the ball at that stage of the game given how we had dragged ourselves from defeat to a winning position is unforgivable.

Two reasons TAMB has lost a lot of traffic, a) the team is going nowhere under Strachan and b ) it's fast become a political forum that doesn't accept any view other than SNP.

That and the same fuds posting over and over again trying to turn every thread into something about Aberdeen FC

  4. Snodgrass has been shit since the Malta game.

Anyway here's my take on goalkeepers.

When you play with a club that is as dominant in possession  as Celtic you don't have a lot to do.

A goalkeeper from a club that is under the cosh regularly in games has more to do. Mentally they are more with it.

Craig Gordon was all over the place . You can get away with it in the SPL with Celtic but not at international level .

Some of his outfield colleagues though were  very guilty of giving possession away cheaply too.

    It's time.

Strachan should've gone after the Gib game. The wonders that someone like Michael O' Neill has done should have the clowns at Hampden pondering someone like Wright who has proven beyond all doubt that he has the skills to turn very average players into a great team.

Totally agree.(Maybe not the great team part)

It's a step forward. Aye it's a gamble but a better option  than Walter Smith or Alex McLeish. Both had their chance and walked out on the job so them.

No saying that Wright wouldn't do the same if he made a success of the job and a EPL club came calling but I'd take that risk.

All I know is after an initial honeymoon period under Strachan we have gone downhill.

Only plus point from last night was that it was better than Slovakia

I thought I was the only one who thought Strachan wasn't really doing a good job. IMO he should have offered to quit after the Georgia away game. I'n not saying he should have necessarily gone but that result and perfomance was one of the main reasons we are not at the Euros.

And playing for a point in Dublin

The last campaign was demoralising with us playing for draws against Georgia and Ireland.  Much as I like Strachan, his decision making was off there and contributed to us losing out on the best chance we've had of qualifying for a tournament in 20 years.  Look at some of the teams that did get there.

£50 is way too much.  Individual ticket prices are way too much.

    Also, James Forrest.

    Agree100%.

Strachan being offered a new contract for finishing 4th in a group was the final straw for me.

And even when he had no option but to play Ross McCormack he still never acknowledged the lad played well.

Good pundit but too far up his own arse now for me.

I'm pleased more people are joining for the England match. Very pleased.

More new fans the better, they'll get hooked like I did all those years ago.

And become disillusioned just as quickly
