What would be considered acceptable from these games , I think the problem is that if Ukraine beat us it may kill off the other two games .
after this it’s a long time till the qualifiers next March unless a November friendly.
if we do fail badly i would be all for calling time on Clarke as he is still far too inflexible for me and he is usually found wanting in the biggest games .

I don’t want to see mctominay in defence as he is pretty shambolic , he will need to be in midfield .
although he is unlikely to be as gilmour will get shoe horned in despite playing 60 seconds all season

Lots of Scot’s in action tonight McGinn and adams wading through treacle it seems. What has happened to McGinn at Villa .
mckenna and forest shipping goals to Fulham with a good 25 left.
apart from Nathan Patterson most of our squad just seem to be hopeless for their clubs or not playing.
just as well we do not pick on clubform . -

I am disappointed at morgan and burke not getting in but overall the squad is what i mostly expected.
I get that about Ireland but they will probably feel the same way about us
it is tricky as there is no one tearing any trees up that aren’t playing the shankland “form” quickly dieddown I know.
i am happy that the squad has a much younger age now from the days of strachans dads army , but is worrying that the likes of dykes and brown are still included

Squad along usual lines but full of players out of form, not playing, Championship diddies etc.
I get we can’t pick squads on players in form as we would have no players, but wouid be surprised if it’s not three defeats in these games
Ukraine will take us apart home and away I feel

But on the other hand we don’t really pay much attention to what form our squad is in or if they are even playing club football

I think the major concern as thee games approach is only Patterson is in good form.
A lot of “our” big names are hopelessly out of form which is a concern or are not playing

Gilmore may some job getting in this side .

Scotland fitness is very different to premier league fitness , ie Scotland don’t worry too much about things like that.
looking at the Brighton midfield won’t be easy getting in the side.
however if his fitness is poor we shoot not be picking him for these games , as he has not delivered internationally for a while

Will he actually get game time in the premier league for Brighton, trying to think who he has to try and dislodge .
I suppose mccalister plays in the position but can’t see him getting in ahead of him.

Not much happening on the gilmour front no doors being knocked down for his signature .
the poor season Norwich has really knocked his career badly , expectations may have to be lowered considerably

Don’t think tierney is going to be a regular starter for arsenal now , seems to be a regular sub now.

Think billy gilmour would get more gametime at Everton than Brighton .
but the down side being the Everton fan base would crucify him if he fails to perform .

Not a massive fan of gilmour as he is still dining out on the England game .
However Brighton would be an excellent move his style of play would be suited to them and he would have a good amount of quality around him unlike Norwich where he ended up as bad as what was around him .
would still be a difficult midfield to break into but would have more of a chance than at Chelsea

Either way hes scored in the tiny amount of gametime hes had so far which is promising and should help with his confidence.
That is the problem we have such a low bar that it’s doesn’t take much to reach it .
Burke has had far too many chances and has never been good enough

Our so called quality midfield always looks in trouble against better opposition , not convinced Clarke will do much about it as he seems fixed on his favourites .
we cannot pick gilmour if he is rotting away at Chelsea dough nothing and mctominay continues to have his nightmares

It’s an absolute disgrace the tv deal , for a start there should be contractual penalties for failing to meet the quota of games .
the fact that there are Edinburgh and Dundee derbies last season not being shown live is a disgrace .
you also never get fixtures live involving any combination of Hibs , hearts, Aberdeen and Dundee United outwith the derby ever shown live either is beyond contempt .
this new quota will get the full quota of the rangers and Celtic away roadshow quota fitted in as well
