  1. I don't think we have actually played well since Serbia...

I understand stevie needs to create an environment where players feel comfortable and is consistent but a few of the squad seem to be player that they have no fear of losing their squad spot for the euros.

3 at the back is great for us against better teams but tonight we need to pin their full backs up the field and the 4 2 3 1 should do that.

We can easily score 2 goals in 45min.

  2.                                                                               Marshall

    Palmer              Mctominay                      Gallacher                        Tierney                           Robertson

                                                 Jack                                        Armstrong

                                                                      Mcginn

                                           Christie                                        Dykes

This is the team i would pick but i think Stevie Clark may opt for Mcgregor over Armstrong and either Mckenna or cooper over Gallacher.  I'm pretty happy most of us have the same formation and team give or take a couple players all our best 11's are there or there about.

    COME ON SCOTLAND!!!!!!!!

  3. The 1562 tickets would be worst case scenario as the other country(s) we would face may not take their full allocation which would be passed to us, the sponsors may not take there full allocation and they can pick and choose them for more prestigious games or the 85% being sold right now do not sell out and we would have a 2nd window of opportunity to buy direct from UEFA after November when we find out if we have qualified. Going by my  experience this is likely but they will most likely be Cat 1 tickets so minimum £165 up to £285. the Cat 3 tickets almost always sell as ticketing site robots but these up for reselling purposes, hospitality is minimum  780£(euro)

The only saving grace for members on less than 10 points, say from 8-9 upwards is if the England game goes ahead at Wembley it almost doubles our allocation due the increased capacity. so it does bring almost double available tickets.

  4. FYI for those swithering on applying for tickets.

Uefa are selling 85% off all available tickets for UEFA 2020 in this phase of ticket sales regardless of stadium capacity, Hampden capacity listed with them as 52, 060.  The remaining 15% are being held back for sponsors + tickets for the retrospective football associations fans to apply for tickets when the teams and fixtures are announced after the qualification ends in November.

Of this15%. approx. 9% is took by sponsors and white collar affiliated members and 3% each will be given to each Football Association for game day matches. therefore 3% will be given to the SFA for the SSC members presuming we qualify. 3% is only 1562 tickets, so If you don't want to take a chance applying for tickets the now through the UEFA 2020 site and you would rather wait to see if we qualify then currently you will have to have 11 points or more to have a chance of getting a ticket, no one below 11 points currently will have a chance to get a ticket through the SSC points system. Obviously the number of people on the points system will change with some away games coming off and others being added but id say you will have to be on minimum 11-12 points to be in with a chance to get tickets if we do qualify.........

  5. Myself and my brother are flying out on the Tuesday @ 7am and flying back on the Wednesday 7am, we are planning on getting the bus to and from the city centre most likely the 3:30am bus. my fear was the bus stop would be difficult to find but if the stop is where it drops us off it should be fine. worst case scenario if we are took drunk and too tired to stay out til 3:30am we will get a taxi to airport and get a kip there before they open security at 5:30am. if anyone finds themselves in the same position please PM me and we can swap phone numbers.

  6.                                                                                   Bain

                                                       O'Donnell McKenna Mulgrew Robertson (c)

                                                                      Mcginn Mctominay

                                                         Mcgregor Armstrong Forrest

                                                                                Burke

    Then for san Marino

    I would swap

    McKenna for Bates

    Robertson for Tierney

Mcgregor for Ryan Fraser (as he is not allowed to play on a plastic pitch or else he would be in)

Burke for Paterson (same reason as Ryan Fraser)

  7. this will be my 1st time in Brussels and looking for a bit of advice, we are flying in on the day of the game and out of Brussels charleroi @ 7am the day after the game, so we would like to be stay some where south of Brussels 5-10 min away from the airport but also easily enough to get back from the match the night before?

any ideas of hotels or best areas within the city?

  8. Hi hampdenroarpod,

Loving the pod casts so far up to Kenny Miller, started listening to it last Tuesday and not listened to the radio in the car since, I hope you continue to post more and hopefully a pre Kazakhstan/San Marino discussion when the squad is announced to and pod to discuss what has went on in these games???

Keep up the good work very enjoyable listening.

Would love a pod with, Ally McCoist or Steven Presley or David Weir. as stated above would love a pod to discuss squad announcements, performance etc even if it was just a couple of your mates or past players.

I was going to buy myself the 4 match package but now a non member pal wants to come with me to the Belgium and Albania matches. Wants to bring his lad to Belgium too.

If I wait until the 17th to buy the tickets what’s the chances of their being massive issues with booking online if there’s a rush of non members weighing in as well?

Whats all your general opinions on the chances of any of these matches selling out?

No chance of a sell out, but i guess it may limit if you can get your 1st choice seats, but from experience, you will still be able to sit in your desired section (possibly not exact row or seat) and you will all get to sit together.

  10. In my mind it is working out the same for both the Home nations and the friendlies as a member we are given 1000 points which will reduce the overall bill from £90 for the 4 games to £80 in total so hence £20 a match (again this is how i think about it in my mind). Seems pretty fair for international football. Also a £5 is a positive sign to make it financially viable for a dad/mum to take the kids.

  11. For a financial point of view we as a Football association are going to be better off Leaving Hampden and sharing with the SRU, they are going to look at ways to accommodate us and make it feel as a home and as we will be paying rent and a valuable source of extra income they are best placed to meet our needs.
