  1. Echo that. Barras was a huge disappointment for me. Not due to the performers who were brilliant as always, but the queues for the bar were horrendous. I wouldn't go back there again. Campus on the other hand was absolutely brilliant. What an atmosphere on Friday night. Drink was reasonably priced as well.
  2. I was in section 437 in the Jock Stein Upper and there was a section of about 150 Ireland fans in front of us and prior to the game starting the atmosphere was really good between everyone. But then right on kick off an Irish fan walked in to his seat and started sticking the fingers up and shouting off to all the Scotland fans behind him. It was bizarre. A few Scotland fans went to have a go at him and we're held back by their pals and irish fans were telling the boy to stop but he kept it going. After that I felt a real tension for the whole first half. i saw two coins thrown, one from each set of supporters. Disgusting behaviour on both their parts as there were a lot of kids in amongst it all. The irish guy seemed to realise it could turn nasty and started to backtrack and apologise but the damage was done. He was wearing a white top and he eventually left about half an hour in. I noticed he sneaked back in about 20 minutes later with a green top and a hoody on but I think his disguise worked and I certainly didn't feel near as much tension in the second half. On the whole the conduct of all the Ireland fans was impeccable and we had a great time in Malones and in Campus after the game.
  3. Expect the pick ups in Glasgow to be around 8am roughly. One pick up point yet to be decided. Think the bus just plays CD's as far as I know.
  4. Thanks for all the queries, questions and interest. Bus is provisionally full now subject to deposits being paid. If anyone drops out I will repost. Feel free to message me and I can operate a sort of waiting list where I can contact people in the event of any drop outs.
  5. Anyone got any idea if and when the Irish FA would put tickets on general sale for the away match in June next year? Most of my squad will have enough points for Scotland end tickets but a few who are not members and are coming along for the trip were hoping to take advantage of a general sale in the same way thousands of Irish have done with our home game.
  6. Blairgowrie Tartan Army will be running a 49 seat coach to Dublin for the Euro 2016 qualifier v Republic of Ireland in June next year. The bus will leave Blairgowrie (which is 16 miles north of Perth if anyone doesn't know) on Friday 12th June 2015 and will look to pick up anyone who wants to come along. We will hop on the ferry at Cairnryan to Belfast. If everyone makes it across without going overboard then the coach will carry on to Dublin. We will return on Sunday 14th June 2015. Bus will come complete with Tartan Army tunes and Tartan Army toilet. Total cost of both the bus and ferry combined will be £105. Obvious pick up points would be places such as Perth, Dunblane, Stirling, Glasgow etc but can maybe deviate from the route slightly on request. We will look to collect a £25 deposit to confirm booking and total cost to be paid by end of March 2015. Any questions or looking to book, please PM me.
  7. If you find people just looking for travel rather than both travel & accommodation please point them in my direction. Our bus leaves On the Friday and returns on the Sunday but is travel only.
  8. Right lads, final times are yet to be decided but the plan is to leave on Friday, home Sunday. Coach and ferry will cost £105 all in. Looking at taking a £25 deposit by end of November and the rest to be paid by end of March. If interested or want more info then PM me. Dunblane would be an ideal pick up point for us mate.
  9. The £48pp return was quoted to me by Stena yesterday provided we book a group of more than 20. Thats for Cairnryan to Belfast and back.
  10. I am hoping to run a bus fron blairgowrie (north of perth) and will look to fill it by picking people up on the way. Hoping to have final costings tomorrow so will keeo u posted when i have them. Do u have ur digs sorted yet? How many are looking to travel?
