Clarke has said its too early for Griffiths which is a load of shite

If Clarke thinks it’s best not to rush a guy who is being eased back into club football after being out with serious mental health issues then I hardly see how that is a load of shite.

I reckon that's the Scotland career of Steven Fletcher finished. I am guessing Clarke wasnt too happy with the manner of him declaring unfit then playing for Wednesday two days later. Goals are going to come from midfield with this squad or a penalty.

Aye after the recent interview where he said he had a decision to make I think we can conclude he’s retired.

The guy who runs it has a bad reputation, but remember what he is doing is effectively illegal, hence why he is pretty hard to get hold of.

A lot of football shirt collectors hate him (there is a Welsh shirt collector who has been trying to find him for years, but he is pretty hard to pin point, but knows he lives in the Bristol area, but his website is registered in the Far East somewhere) and he does have a habit of changing his website and social media names every so often when heat starts to come his way.

The SFA were on his case a few years back after he brought out the 82 home, unsurprisingly they weren’t happy.

I don't think Phillips has been left of any squad he has been fit for.

Snodgrass has asked to take a break I think.

The other two are just another two who we get no explanation for.

There was an interview with Snoddy in November where he discussed his mother being ill and wanted to use the international breaks to spend time with family.

Dont think there’s been any update since then.

He did his hamstring, and seemingly felt it in training the other day, so he's not got a return date right now. Fingers crossed he gets back before the end of the season, but better to be safe than sorry where hamstrings are concerned.

Be interesting to see where he ends up next season, hopefully not rotting away in some Portuguese teams reserves.

    Umm why?

Feruz has sunk without a trace and barely played 1st team football.
Gauld was starting every week in Liga Pro before moving to Hibs, and played barely 3 games there before picking up an injury. You've written him off after those 3 games tho? Presumably not having watched any of them? Well done you.

Burke is playing regularly for Celitc and was by far the most dangerous looking player for us in our opening two qualifiers.

I see no similarity between any of the 3, but you carry on making lists if it keeps you happy.

    Is Gauld still injured aye?

Thought he looked decent in his first couple of Hibs games.

Fletcher asked if we minded if we didn't call him up and we said nae bother mate, we don't take international football very seriously.

We have  shown this on numerous occasions, let us know if you fancy it again

McLeish has totally devalued this qualifying tournament due to having the nations league playoff in his hipper.

The discussion he had regarding McGregor’s retirement in his squad announcement press conference was a joke.

Fans will vote with their feet if he’s still in charge come June.

  8. Burke proved last night he’s definitely not a striker.

Looked a hell of a lot better when we went wide later on, it’ll be interesting to see if his loan move gets him a permanent move to another Championship club or indeed a place at WBA next season as he needs games.

Marshall - Reason for his omission has never been declared.

Bardsley - Reason for his omission has never been declared.

    McArthur - Recently retired.

Ritchie - Reason for his omission has never been declared.

Snodgrass - Reason for his omission has never been declared.

Cairney  - Reason for his omission has never been declared.

As you can see there's a lack of real communication between the fans and the manager/players/SFA.

Not sure what the situation is with Snoddy’s mum now but that was the original issue, Ritchie asked not to be considered for a period of time and has never said anything further.

Daryl Broadfoot implied a while ago that Bardsley was a waster and a negative effect on the squad who didn’t meet Strachan’s demands on discipline.

The one that really annoys me is the silence re Marshall, he was Strachans first choice for the most part.

Fletcher was playing well for Scotland so why the hell would he not want to be included. The mind boggles.

Unless Eck saw him hobble off at the weekend and omitted him without asking Steve Bruce if he’d be fit.

Gordon has been second choice to Bain for a couple of months I think. The main reason for this is bains ability to play out from the back which was brendan Rodgers preferred philosophy. Gordon is still a good Keeper and would be easily worth his place in the squad imo.

Had Gordon still been first choice at Celtic I’d have had no problem with him taking the number one slot for the entire campaign after this news but his lack of action is a concern, I’d keep him in the squad but I hope Bain starts.

Ive got a bad feeling Eck will pick Gordon though.

How many more games would he have yo play with Scotland? I'm guessing not that many

We have 10 qualifiers, with the travelling to the away games he’s decided it’s too much.

Why is no one suggesting Paterson up front.

4 goals in 14 games for one of the worst teams in the EPL is not a bad return.

He has the second best statistics for aerial duels won in the league.

Forgot about him actually as a striker I’d maybe try him in Fletcher role.

Jack Harper and Jordan Rhodes are the two likely ones to get calls that I can think of.
Someone mentioned Greg Stewart? Really tho? He's not scored in 3 months, has he?
Cummings has been sat on the bench in League One, which is sad for him.
So you get into slightly silly calls, like May, Boyd, Shankland, Dobbie or Hardie.

Honestly can't see past Rhodes or Harper for the 3rd striker spot.

I’d get Harper in the squad for experience and to have a look at some point.

Rhodes just hasn’t played enough games to be considered in my opinion.

Burke would be an interesting choice given his pace and he's hit the ground running at Celtic.

But McBurnie feels like the guy who's earnt the chance.
To be fair to him he's only had 3 real games for us.
Costa Rica, with a very weird line up behind him, Richie and Cairney playing wide and the only 2 tasked with supplying him.
Mexico with a completely inexperienced side thrown together.
    and european champions Portugal.
Not exactly good games to assess a player.

If Burke was to start up front I think we’d see a change of tactics, I don’t see him as a target man. McBurnie probably has more ability to fulfil the Fletcher role.

Beyond those 2 I’m struggling to think of anyone who could come in.

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but McLeish and McFadden are having to try hard today to convince Allan McGregor to be included in the squad.

McGregor, whilst our best keeper by some distance was lucky to be welcomed back last time so if this is true I’d tell him to poke it.
