See Matt Phillips starting for West Brom again . Handling his injury well I see ?
He’s having an op in the break, Clarke said so in his press conference.

Not for me, yet.
For all his criticism McBurnie would score a pile in the Championship.
Strachan cited McGinn’s performances with the U21’s as being the main factor behind his initial callup in those friendlies.
Like everyone else I hope Shankland is the real deal but I don’t think he’s ready to get a callup until he’s either played and scored for Utd at a higher level(next season)or got a move in January to a higher level and scored goals.

Anyone Got Any Idea when the new shirts will be out ?
It’s usually November I think so maybe in time for the double header?
JD have had the current ones discounted for a good while so don’t think it’ll be long till we start to see sneaky peaks.

One quote saying Barnsley fans warned them!
But we’ve got loads of Scotland fans who’ve not seen him play since he left the Jags that want our team built round him.😂
Obviously the truth will be somewhere between the two and it’s worth noting that Stoke are dung at the moment, in danger of a Sunderland type fall from the Championship.

Although on the evidence of that shocking attempted header on Wednesday, maybe not Devlin
(yes, I'm a Dons fan)
How good is Devlin out of interest, I’ve not seen much of him.
Is he likely to keep his place when McKenna returns?
I think our centre backs have to be Mulgrew +1. In the absence of Souttar and McKenna at the moment I’m at a loss to who plays alongside him at the moment.

A loan move would be good, especially if he isnt going to get much minutes in the epl. A move to somewhere like rangers or an English championship side would probably help his development. Regular game time is needed for his development.
I’m not sure I agree, fair enough if he was at a Southampton for example but he’s arbitrary Chelsea getting game time and learning from some pretty amazing coaches so I think he’s in the best place right on for an 18 year old.

McIntyre got another start for Reading tonight, albeit taken off in the second half in a tactical move.
Rare start for Charlie Adam as well, remember him?

Just typed in Billy Gilmour into Twitter and those Chelsea fans are very impressed. Sounds like he's having a cracking game.
He’s been excellent, always showing himself for the ball.

Hornby with his first goal for Kortrijk.

Fletcher rested for Sheffield Wednesday and still Rhodes can’t get a start, we can safely forget about him if we haven’t already. Tony Watt scored a couple earlier, are we that desperate yet?
-
The early ones were very good, Faddy’s in particular. My favourite story in all is Mulgrew’s about leaving his engine running whilst training in Dundee.

Received email just now confirming they won't be accepting any more orders as the business is being closed down.
Pity, they were really good a few years back but I’ve heard a lot of bad news about them recently.

Another of those things that hasn't been announced but he must have retired from international football, either that or Clarke is keeping him fresh for the play offs
There was an interview with him at the start of the season that he had s big decision to make as he was as fit as he’d been in many years and didn’t want to jeopardise that. Clarke hasn’t mentioned him since. Sod’s law he’s in his best form for ages and we can’t use him, I’d rather know either way.

Both Lindsay and McIntyre starting today. Not getting carried away. Stoke and Reading are not doing well so far this season, but it is at least nice to see two young defenders starting at that level.
Good to see McIntyre getting a start this early in the season. Reading have very high hopes for him. So much so if he becomes a regular they expect a few offers before too long.

Good to see McIntyre get a start for Reading yesterday, big things expected of him.

Oli Burke has joined Alaves on loan for the season.

Who'd be next in line, Liam Lindsey or go back to Findlay?
I think Findlay is injured as well and that’s why he missed the original squad.
I’d imagine Bates would get a shout if fit.

Has some one pulled out that we are looking at call ups?
Hanley is looking doubtful. Missing Norwich game and going for a scan.

We are in a bad position it's just Ireland are as bad as us when it comes to their player options
I’d say Ireland had a similar pedigree of player to us when we had them in our group under Strachan.
Looking at their squad now I’d say we were in a better place.

I did get the feeling he only came back last year to help us out when we were short on strikers. If that was the case then fair enough but why not announce his retirement from international football?
If he wants to pick and choose matches then he can fuck off. Not sure why he wouldn’t want to play in these two huge games if that’s what he’s trying to do though.
Sad thing was he had arguably his best two games for us when he came back. However it’s worth remembering he only came back due to Naismith being injured.
-
We’re not in as bad a position as some would make out. I’ve just seen the ROI squad and there’s 4 or 5 players in there I’ve never heard of including a guy from Shamrock Rovers.

I don't get Shankland, is there some sort of mental issue that has stopped from at least trying at a higher level?
While there’s no denying he’s an excellent goal scorer at his current level just now, he’s had his moments where he’s been poor.
Aberdeen were happy to release him and his second loan spell at St Mirren was woeful where he piled on the weight.
He was close to drifting further down the leagues after another unconvincing spell at Morton.
Its only been the last 18 months or so that he’s finally got his act together, thanks mostly to Ian McCall.
I hope he has another prolific season and makes the step up either to another club or with Utd but is there perhaps a reason that English or Scottish Premier clubs never took at chance this summer?

Doesnt sound like McBurnie to me..
But also.. how did some chump on twitter who's never had a like or a retweet in his life and has never been near Sheffield get a behind the scenes expose video from Sheffield United?
To me this is as fake as they come, and he's just trying to get some followers.
Totally agree. I’m not his biggest fan but this is nonsense.
I’d expect a statement from McBurnie citing it as pish. Clarke will rightly ignore it.
