If you were unaware of the score and just tuned in to Radio Scotland post match, you'd get the impression from Willie Miller that we'd been well beat.
Ridiculously negative. Kind of get the impression he has something personal against Clarke, he likes to make wee petty, patronising gigs at him.
He did the same with Strachan and McLeish to be fair which surprised me as I presumed they’d be mates from their Aberdeen/Scotland days. He just comes across as a bitter old man these days.

Can't say I've been impressed at all by Hornby when I've seen him play U21's.
Just looks like a lump of a forward who isn't very good.
I’ve watched a couple of his games since he’s been in Belgium, his height makes him an obvious target man but he’s deceptively quick as well. I wouldn’t be averse to him being called up if he continues his form in Belgium.

Really would like to see our train set in action next year for the senior team.
He’s making the most of this opportunity.
Ive read a few bits on his time over there and he’s very highly rated by their coaching staff.

Goal for Hornby tonight.
-
Best- 86 home, 86 away and 82 away.
Worst- pink away, roseberry away and possibly the new home.(I’ll reserve judgement till I’ve seen it in the flesh.)

Stuart Findlay's recent debut goal got me thinking. Who else has scored on their first appearance? My memory only goes back to the early 70's so discounting Jim McCalliog at Wembley 67 and in no particular chronological order...
Willie Pettigrew v Switzerland
Ian Wallace v Bulgaria
Joe Craig v Sweden
Steve Archibald v Portugal
Mo Johnston v Wales
Charlie Nicholas v Switzerland
Davie Dodds v Uruguay
Frank McAvennie v Australia
Kirk Broadfoot v Iceland
Kris Boyd v Bulgaria
Danny Wilson v Faroes
Chris Burke v Bulgaria
Stevie Crawford v Ecuador
John Robertson (Hearts) v Switzerland
Stuart Findlay v San Marino
Gary Mackay v Bulgaria
John Collins v Saudi ArabiaAny I've missed?
In 2 of the above cases, who were the players who scored 2 minutes into their debuts, one particularly famously, and enjoyed a 100% winning record in all their appearances?
John Robertson’s scoring debut was against Romania.

God bless DH Gate, they’ve got them for a tenner already.

Prepared to accept if Paterson is overlooked this time that this will either be due to him not wanting to be selected or a a fall out with Clarke.
Gallagher should I feel be included. More so if Mulgrew and Findlay miss out. Surely he is ahead of Devlin.
Paterson isn’t starting for Cardiff so I don’t think it would be that sinister if he missed out.
Also Devlin is definitely ahead of Gallagher in Clarke’s plans due to the fact he started the last 2 games.

Marshall until after the Euros then probably Kelly.
McLaughlin has lost his place at Sunderland since Ross was sacked so I’d happily see Kelly become number 2.

Brilliant.
Starting against teams like Brugges and Antwerp, etc, will be great for his development.
I'd put him ahead of McBurnie.
McBurnie wishes that he won't called up, we should contact "Make a wish foundation" and get Steve Clarke to make his wish a reality.
He’s tucked a few goals since he’s gone there and is pretty much a regular starter now.
It’s his first real taste of first team fitba so it’s excellent progress for him.

Hornby starting again tonight.

Don't think he's played for us at all since Kazak pull out debacle
He has, he started up front away to San Marino, got injured and was out for a few months.

He boo boo'd pulling out of Kazakhstan
Hasn't been in contention since
Whilst he probably doesn't give a fuck
Players should think about these things more
Could be the difference between playing in a major finals or not
He started the following game after Kazakstan. Got injured and only can back at the start of the season.
I think what goes against him is his versatility, definitely good to have around the squad if fit.

My first choice CB pairing would be McKenna and Souttar but since Souttar is out for a while yet Cooper gets my vote. Robbo and Tierney occupying the full back positions is the only option for me.

I know we are desperate for a goalie and love persuading players to play for us but Angus Gunn looks poor tonight v Leicester.
3-0 down in under 20 mins and he’s a bit of a shambles.
Now that he’s become pish he’ll probably change his mind and decide to play for Scotland.

Slap a Scotland badge on this, change the red trim to pink, and I would snap that up immediately!
I’d like to see it with tartan trim similar to the 2014 home shirt.

BBC reporting that Hanley will definitely miss the next double header due to injury. I think we can safely discount him from the playoffs in that case.

A good player over the years but the right time to step aside. I wonder if Clarke had a say in it as his performance in Russia was very poor?
Leaves room for the younger and arguably better players like Fraser, Forrest and Christie with Johnston etc still to break through
Doubt it, Clarke won’t discount anyone who’s eligible and fit. Rightly so.
Feel a bit for Snoddy, very committed and talented but his Scotland career was very stop start.
Never really got back to the heights after his last knee injury at Hull.
Ironically came back into the fold this season when not getting a start at West Ham and he was getting much more game time last season when he fell out with Eck.
We move on.

McBurnie is out now as well, Armstrong has replaced him.

Most, if not all pubs are open at 11am on a Sunday in Glasgow.
Some open earlier but few and far between and usually shiteholes. Whistling Kirk near Glasgow Green used to open early, not sure if it still does.
Horsehoe, Iron Horse etc will all be open 11am on Sunday.
I was in Rhoderick Dhu bang on 11am a few Sunday's ago before Killie game at Parkhead.
Nice one mate, cheers for that.
I remember having issues a few years ago before a semi and cup final, Crystal Palace was only one we could get in at 11 but they didn’t serve drink till 1230.
Should be fine with the usual haunts.👍

Heading down early on Sunday ahead of the San Marino game and if memory serves not all pubs are open before 1230 on a Sunday in Glasgow, anyone know of any that open a bit earlier?

Ordered a score draw 86 shirt at the weekend.
How much was yours mate? May need to look into that. Could save a fortune!
They did it for a tenner. Easy enough to do for one of these places that stitches digital images.

I am actually😂....found a stream on hesgoal
Got it, great finish from him.
Any time I’ve seen him play I’ve always been impressed, very pacy and quick feet. If he keeps this up he might find himself in the squad for the November double header.

Where are you watching it? Please don’t say in your living room.😂

Pretty much the same team that started the last two games bar Robbo in for Taylor. Could be a case for McTominay replacing Jack although that’d be pretty harsh on Jack after his last two performances.
