  1. Read the guide from ATAC tonight and the Slovakian FA are fully aware that there will be 100's of us in the home end and have no issues providing we don't act like pricks.

Enlighten us naughty banned chaps? Send me to work on a giggle, please? :)

Among other pish, a smug post saying that he'd been kicked off here and had put TAMB in its place by threatening legal action.

Reading between the lines he's not content with owning the Tartan Army but also wants to own facebook.

My most recent spat with him involved me arguing with him after he questioned why myself and my mates were staying in Trnava.

Bless him, there's still plenty that value his 'exclusives' 10 minutes after the SFA have posted them on Twitter.

FINAL CONFIRMED DETAILS FOR THIS TRIP ARE AS FOLLOWS.

    DEPARTURE

Departure is at 12 noon. All passengers should gather at the Landing Stage Marina Wien, 1020 Wien, Handelskai 343 45 minutes beforehand i.e. 11:15 am. Our sail time including sluicing will be 3 h 30 approximately, giving us an eta in Bratislava of around 3:30 pm local time.

    ON BOARD

Can I ask all those attending to bring as many flags/banners etc, so we can get the boat decked out top to bottom in Scotland colours. There will be a bar onboard selling beer ( Stiegl €3:50/0.5l), wine (€12.50/17.50 btl) and a limited range of spirits and liqueurs. The captain has also permitted us to bring on board our own alcohol should you prefer, but please no 'T' in the park style trolley loads lol. They have offered me catering, but given that they understandably wanted an itemised order from me, I have declined. I suggest everyone has a hearty breakfast and/or brings along some sandwiches for the trip. Please also come prepared in the event of the weather being poor, some waterproof clothing especially if you like a cigarette as there will be no smoking in the indoor lounge. For those of you wishing to broadcast on Facebook/Periscope or whatever the boat is equipped with wifi. There is also an idock for tunes and a playlist is being organised. Please remember a landing charge of €5:50 is payable per person and will be collected by boat crew at some point during our sail.

    SUNDAY NIGHT IN VIENNA

A few of us will be in the 1516 Brewing Co pub in Vienna on the Sunday night. If would like to meet some of your fellow cruisers come along. If it's possible to add any more numbers I will also do so then.

    CANCELLATIONS

Any cancellations beyond this point are non refundable. In the event of cancellation by the operator due to an extreme weather event or mechanical failure we will be due a refund, although it would obviously take a little time to organise.

Thats about all I can muster for now, looking forward to meeting everyone in just a couple of weeks time. Here's hoping the team give us a good send off with a win over Lithuania!

    We'll be sailing!

    Regards,

     Captain Slasher. ?

We get in at 1930 on the Sunday night so after we've dumped our extensive luggage at the digs we'll head to the boozer.?

Fake. Umbro did a retro range relaunch of tracksuit tops and t-shirts about 2008ish (loads of people here purchased blue ones and got iron on Scotland patches purchased to make them).

While it's a retro reproduction it's really good quality.

I got the very same one from eBay a while back and it's much better quality than the ones Score Draw did.

Considering his personal issues it's not really fair to write him off IMO. At 29 he could still regain the form that saw him in the squad. If he is fit and playing every week we would be daft not to keep an open mind. Not saying you guys are wrong saying his time is passed, just I'm not sure he is done just yet.

Totally agree, Fletcher was written off and is now an ever present for West Brom and reinstated as our captain.

If playing every week I'd certainly have Dorrans back in our squad ahead of McDonald.

We can't really afford to write anyone off.

Yeah, I tried to register on the site to save a couple of mins for Monday but it said an account is created when you submit an order.

Don't see why we need to give Slovakia any more time on the ball than England did...

Best to press high up the pitch and keep them as far away from our centre halves as possible.

With the quality we have going forward and the limitations of our centre halves, I think that has to be our best tactic in most games.

  8. I was initially quite surprised with Strachan's selection last night.

Very surprised to see Bannan, Paterson, Burke and Chris Martin start.

Bannan was excellent, I think him and Fletcher worked very well together and I'd certainly advocate that being our centre mid against Lithuania.

I have never been Chris Martin's biggest fan but he did a job last night and if anything should prove to be decent back up for this campaign.

For Lithuania I'd have same team with the exception of Griffiths in for Martin.

  9. For me, it was the only negative of an otherwise excellent evening that Hanley and Martin looked so ropey.

They are however our best combination at centre back so all we can hope is that the two of them get some game time between now and Lithuania.

Cooper and Souttar could maybe do with a call up just to get them in and around the squad during the campaign.

Copa still do a couple..... but you can buy the 67 and 78 shirts in JD Sports.

There is also a Spanish retro shirt makers who do a rather good Scotland shirt (name of company escapes me just now)

What ones do Copa do? I've never seen them.

  11. Hoped to see a couple of potential full squad call ups tonight but that was dire.

Souttar looked OK but seemed to be dragged down by the mediocrity around him as did Gauld.

Its very fashionable to slag off Sbagria but there was no cohesion and the buck has to stop with the gaffer.

  12. Interesting chat from Alan Rough tonight re Ross McCormack, asked why he thinks that he's not a favourite of Strachan-he stated that McCormack has had a couple of dubious withdrawals from squads in the past and as a result Strachan doesn't trust him.

Roughie went on to claim he was told this and believes it to be fact.

Still looking at potentially adding a few more numbers to this or will you be keeping it to 40?

Sticking at that for now m8. I might add a couple but I won't be in a position to do that until nearer the time (there are good reasons). I appreciate people want to get organised in advance though, I just wish I could accommodate everyone.

Of course, I appreciate its must be a bit of a headache to organise.

Am I right in thinking myself +2 are first reserves?

I have today confirmed the terms of our agreement, our itinerary and paid the deposit to secure our trip so we are all good to go.

I'd just like to thank everyone (38/40) for paying up so promptly and making all this relatively easy (so far).

That's about all for now, I'll post some more details nearer the time. In the meantime if any one has any questions just post them on here or pm me.

    Regards,

    Captain Slasher?

PS  I've capped our number at 40 for now but may yet have a little leeway on that later.

As I said, repeatedly Strachan leaves out players he should include and includes some beyond baffling selections.

Martin out and Greer out are both obvious ones.

McCormack and Cooper/A young cb - Bearing in mind Martin, Hanley & Berra are 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice. Souttar is probably the prime candidate after Cooper.

The selection of McGinn is a tad strange, playing at a low level and untried. However he's young so it's interesting to see what he can bring.

If you think Strachans squad selections are correct and he isn't stubborn and short sightened with what he's doing then you're in a minority.

I can only imagine Strachan doesn't rate Cooper as he was one of the very few if not the only one not to get any game time in the Denmark/Czech friendlies.

I think McCormack deserves to be in every squad and I know he's had the occasional injury but his Scotland career has never really got going.

I'm surprised big Matt Smith at Fulham hasn't been mentioned, similar style to Martin but can actually move.
