  1. True that.

And i`m sure we learned the lesson in Dublin and won`t let another second half vs Ireland to happen.

Game in Frankfurt was a good example. Germany took the lead, added a second quickly but we started higher pressing, get the contact goal and almost an equaliser just before HT. And we could totally colapse after that two quick lockdowns.

  2. But you did beat them with a lot of luck and it was a one off. You couldn't beat us with home advantage and didn't look that great in Dublin. You are still below us in the world rankings and that suggests your results in other games hasn't been great.

Home advantage will play a big part and I'm confident we will win. Then pressure is on you against Ireland.

Game vs Germany, and i wrote it here just after it, was our best tactically played game i`ve seen for years and our defensive engagement was immense. Germany created only half chances and we were lethal on the break. Coach NawaƂka got it all right for that game plus strikers in form. You need a bit of luck in a lot of games but wen you`re winning 2:0 it`s hardly ever luck, whether you like it or not.

Second half in Dublin, on the other half, was our worst performance in this campaign, and we still managed to bring 1 point home from tough ground.

Home advantage is nice but it`s not a decider. We won a lot of games away in previous campaigns (when we qualified) so I`m not worried. We will have a healthy support in Glasgow as well :)

  3. As usual lots of negativity. This Poland team are not even close to the quality of the Croatia team we beat easily 2 years ago. We will take them.

This sentence got no sense at all.

If we are such worse team than Croatia you beat, then why didn`t you even more easily beat us? And why we are second in the group with 17 points and your team 4th with 11? Doesn`t make sense at all.

You can beat us, we can beat you or it may be a draw. No rocket science.

  4. It`s simply impossible no to win vs Gibraltar.

Is far far to early for their team to compete on that level. For the long periods it`s embarassing to watch other teams rivalry with Gibraltar.

They should develop their team and league first and then try again imho.

  5. We will never play for draw with anybody in front of 50k fans on Stadion Narodowy. Not a chance. It`s not in our character.

For us (media, fans) Scotland is considered as very strong collective, without stars but very well managed by Gordon Strachan. Also a kind of opponent we are not comfortable with (same as Ireland). Media also underlining refereiing for the game, hoping that in Glasgow we won`t get a blind one like in Warsaw. Referee not allowing brutal game will be beneficial for us, opposite situation will be advantage for Scotland.

We will come to Glasgow with strong desire for sealing the qualifications, not wanting to leave that for the last home game vs Ireland, however its obvious that game will be "must win" category for you rather than for us. How this will affect the mentality of both teams is a mystery for now and reamain like that till the gameday.

I predict Scottish media will be quoting some bull*ite from "Polish media", like before first game. There was no publication in Poland saying that you are poor, but scottish press created "news" just to motivate your players and fans. Dirty trick but probably work ;)

  6. I can easily see very hard game for Ireland with ambitious Georia team wanting another win.

Draw is a likely score, Georgia win possible (with Ireland win of course the most likely outcome)

You need to remember that your reasonably good position in the group after Friday is a result of Scotlands cock-up, not your spectacular football.

Another cracking night of football ahead of us for sure :)

  7. Very nice City, but too posh for stagger imho.

Centre look more like Washington, with all those skyscrapers, glass and steel, than any place in Europe. Very clean, good public transport, loads of good food but old town wont throw you on your knees.

  8. Head go head vs Germany might not be important...unless you take points off them :) and i believe you will despite todays horrible result in Georgia.

That result though made watching our game much less stressful. That result vs germans was calculated into this campaign, Great we manage to win first game in Warsaw. Very well organised event today (public transport to the city centre!) and good atmosphere. No troubles. Nice we had opportunity to go beserck after goal ;)

  9. To make it even worse Strathclyde Uni launched special courses titled "buy ticket for Scotland-Poland games in 3 days".

Excessive use of "aye" and "no bother" may indicate that you`re dealing with fake Scot aka Pole in disguise as those are easiest to memorize with correct accent.

Also Poles are well known for wearing knickers with the kilts.

    Be alert guys!

  10. If you are going to stay top of the group, I would prefer for you to do it in style by going all out attack and defeat Germany 3-0. I want none of this "play for a draw" nonsense. a draw doesn't help Scotland at all.

I dont`t really think Germans will let us play for a draw. We will probably have to counter just to let the defence have a bit of a breath.

  11. Poland were lucky to escape with a draw in Dublin

Not really. We dominated first half, they dominated second. They scored the equalizer in a last minute but we had a great scoring opportunity in stoppage time just after that. So you could also say Ireland was lucky too.

It won`t matter in upcoming games anyway. Each one is a new chapter.

Irealand will need a great improvement for remaining games plus combination of other results in group to qualify, whereas Poland, Scotland and Germany got everything in their hands at the moment.

Friday could come a bit quicker though.

  12. Why do you think we'll drop points Friday?

    It`s just a feeling.

On the paper you should win of course. But it`s a hard ground to come and not that easy team to break (once you done it is breeze but until then...). Plus possible tropical weather, something your players are not used to really.

  13. only few sleeps, night bus to Frankfurt and there we go :)

I have no expectatons whatsover about that game in terms of result .Defeat is a most possible outcome but.. that was the same melody before the game in Warsaw.

I think one point will be great , 3 points and we are going to France- simple as that.

For Germany it`s the last moment to get their sh*t togoether, otherwise they might be forced to play-offs or even not qualify.

It`s a lot to play for on friday.

I think you will drop the points in Tbilisi but it should`t determine te outcome of our game in any way.
