  1. The English media has been highlighting the corruption in FIFA for years and doling out a 10k watch was silly granted but not bribery. FIFA set the FA up for a fall primarily i believe because the English media have been on their case for years and no doubt blatter and his cronies all had a good laugh so a little bit of schadenfraude at it all starting to unravel is perfectly permissable IMHO ;-)

    Yep

  2. Absolutely.

Someone made the comparison on Twitter (perhaps Limmy?)

That he finds bull fighting abhorrent.

But he wouldn't want the vote on ending it in Spain, as he doesn't want Spain having any say on our laws.

England voted Tory, if they want fox hunting, hell mend them. I'd be very angry to see it brought back - but it would show up again the differences in attitudes North and South of the border

Most people in England are against this barbaric pastime including most of those who voted Tory. This has only come up since the Tory's won the election with a majority so Cameron can help his hoorah Henry pals.

  3. In my youth a for a few years i was a member of the HSA and went out most weekends and the odd Wednesday sabbing the hunt. If you can get a buzz about having a pack of hounds ripping apart another animal, regardless if it is cute or not then you are just sick in the head.

I have also said that if someone had a load of chickens and Mr Fox came in and killed them, then fair enough they would not be amused and would get out the 12 bore and blast it .

Shooting and hunting are different and being a member of the SNP not that it does me much good down here, if they reintroduced Fox Hunting or voted for the ban to be lifted then i would soon become a ex member.

    For Fox Sake Stop Hunting.

    Well said

  4. What percentage do you think would vote to get out/stay in?

IMO England the only other actual country of the union would vote 30% yes, 70% no.

NI, the north of Ireland despite the demographics changing their are still a good 20 years off from their country uniting as one again. 40% yes, 60% no.

Wales is one of the few places in the world that isn't an independent country that wont even discuss the issue. Pretty sad IMO. That's what happens when Rugby is your lead sport. 18% yes, 72% no.

I would prefer if Scotland where the country that dismantled this disgusting war mongering union of murder but I would take any of the others to do the damage.

You're taking England as a whole whereas there are parts that want independence from the rest such as Yorkshire & Cornwall.

  5. I know the question beforehand, but don't believe it changes the fact that Murray was serious. I want them to lose every time they play. It's football. I feel the same way about Ayr. I know a great guy who supports Ayr. My best man is English. It's not life, it's just football stuff. Murray seems to feel the same.

Totally agree but I've found it's only the people not into football that don't get it.

  6. Talking of the LibDem handbrake, they may say "you'll regret you got rid of us" but on the other hand, by propping them up even while curbing the worst excesses of the Tories, they made the prospect of a Cameron-led government less scary than it would have been. If we'd had 5 years of pure full-on Tory regime, they might have been voted out by now, rather than voted in. IMHO.

    This

  7. We booked yesterday as well, Easyjet Southend-Faro on the Saturday (£49), private double room in a Faro youth hostel on the Saturday night (£25), overnight bus after the game to Lisbon (£15) and then BA air miles flights from Lisbon-Heathrow-Edinburgh (£17.50) on Monday morning. Outstanding !

Never thought of looking at Southend, didn't know they had an airport.
