Est to Metz train takes 1hr 20mins.

Thanks. I was wanting to know how frequent & the cost of the CDG to Nord de Garde/Est trains.

We are getting the RER from CDG to Nord, then Est to Metz.

Yes that's what I want to do but get quoted silly times to get there & high prices.

Do you know how frequent they are, how long they take & how much they are?

  3. l've been looking at the SNCF website for trains from Paris CDG to Metz & back.

It looks like it works out cheaper to get a train to one of the central Paris railway stations then to Metz from there. I've been trying to find out how frequent the trains are from the airport to central Paris & how much they are but getting quoted circa £50 prices via Lille etc. Can't be right, can anybody that's looked let me know how to look this up.

  4. I contacted the SSC a couple of times yesterday regarding the system just showing Home tickets not available when I tried to get my France ticket. They responded both times & on the second time they gave me a number to ring as I couldn't get one online. Fortunately I managed to get one in the mean time but I was pleased with their efforts to help me when they probably had a lot getting in touch with the same problem.

He said last night, in relation to the salary that Zlatan is looking for to play in EPL, that he himself "was playing in the wrong era". This is Michael Owen who retired 3 years ago and who has a net worth of about £50m. #pauper

One of the biggest mercenaries in football, all about money for him.

Any Leeds fans out there to tell us whether Bridcutt is generally considered a thug.  I haven't seen the tackle but there's an awful lot of debate about one challenge, I wouldn't necessarily want to be ending someone's international career over one moment of stupidity but I would be thinking about whether he is someone I can trust under pressure.

He's one of our better players at the moment but that's out of a very poor bunch. He's not made a tackle like that since he's been at Elland Road. He was probably over keen to get himself noticed & picked again.

Well I met a few of them in the Dubliner along with the guy who runs it.They seemed like nice people and dedicated Scotland fans. It may not be to everyone's taste but neither is this board.

All religion is a complete nonsense and anybody who has it as their main  motivation in life needs their head examined.

Person A wishes people a happy easter, when most people actually see it nowadays as a celebration of fluffy rabbits and chocolate. Person B is upset because a minority of people believe in some fairy tale about a beardy magician doing a david copperfield trick. Person B decides to stab person A due to his mentioning of something that could potentially be a reference to aforementioned fairytale about magic trick.

    Absolute lunacy

The world would be a lot better place if there were nae religions.

This. It does seem that a lot more are turning against religion as if you actually think about it there's no sense in any of it.

Unfortunately Muslims are not allowed to think like that as the consequences would be too dire.

You were baffled when Liam Bridcutt was called up even though he'd actually been capped three years ago.

Must my bad memory then as I don't remember that, I probably wasn't aware of him at that time.

Unfortunately it's where we are, particularly with centre halves.  Anyhow I see Rotherham are enjoying a renaissance under Warnock, can't be long before we see Broadfoot back in the squad.  As far McCormack is concerned I'm a fan as well but am rather concerned where his club might finish up next season.

If Fulham are relegated there's no way that Ross will be there next season & I doubt if he will be even if they stay up.

  11. I was baffled when Liam Bridcutt & Liam Cooper were selected in the Scotland squad as I didn't know that they had Scottish connections & they are just run of the mill Championship players. Seeing them on a regular basis as a Leeds United supporter I'm not happy that WGS has sunk to this level for players. Cooper was only a substitute today & is in & out of the team. What makes it all the more baffling is that someone like Ross McCormack has been over looked again. I love the wee man but I'm worried about the direction we are heading when mediocre players like them are selected.

Curious one that. What's left to be revealed?

No more Pick of the Pops though :(

Hopefully will still be a Pick of the Pops with a different presenter who isn't an old fart & doesn't refuse to play punk.

  13. I don't know the ins & outs but I imagine that figure isn't far off.

I think what doesn't help Leeds is this oft-quoted view of the EPL somehow 'needing' them & the big club mentality. A lot of Leeds fans I know do seem to cling to that particular view (delusion?) & in my, obviously somewhat biased opinion, it creates a culture which is all about being a big club rather than accepting where they are & rebuilding. I remember the unbounded joy on local radio phone-ins of Leeds fans celebrating Cellino winning his original appeal to be allowed to take them over. Every non-Leeds fan I knew could see it was a car crash in the making, but the overwhelming view of their own supporters was that they were headed straight back "where they belong".

I know I have a 50-year raging hatred bias to contend with, but there are umpteen examples around them of similar sized clubs showing how to do a steady, incremental rebuild.

I think that is just seeing clubs with a much smaller fan base doing well.

There's very few supporters that think we have a chance of going up this season as we're far too inconsistent. There has been an improvement with Steve Evans as before him we were consistently rubbish.

Cellino managed to fool some supporters but it's very much the minority now because of the problems he causes. Most of us would be delighted if the Football League banned him now but we can't rely on them to do the right thing with Shaun Harvey at the helm.

  14. I work with one of the Polish lads who set off a flare. Spent the night in the cells and ended up with a fine and 6 month ban from attending football matches. He told me one of the Polish lads got searched on the way in and was found to have a flare on him, huckled off straight away. He also ended up in the cells with a fine and ban just for having the flare....

Is that all doubt you'd have said that if you'd had one thrown at you stood at a bus stop!
