Fuck signing for Bournemouth, he's way better than that.

quite a bit of talk from fellow spurs fans that he'll be signing for us. just a rumour but would fit with the way spurs operate

Seeing as we are not putting in another appearance, I may force myself to watch some games, although my enthusiasm at the moment is nil. I even mucked up on booking a cruise, wish I had done it for the second 2 weeks of June so I would miss half of it....never mind.

I reckon West Germany or Spain.

Can’t see anyone beating England to be honest

he was about as funny as Bob Monkhouse and Miranda put together. Was banged to rights from the evidence in his tax evasion trial but a scouse jury refused to convict him  - much like Gerrard got away with his assault. So the establishment give him a knighthood as well. Getting loads of arse licking pish on the North West of England news the night

it was around that time he got two new diddymen, diddypay and diddyfeck

Stoke had a shot against us on Boxing Day that looked for all the world a goal; in any other match it would have been given but Hawkeye ruled it was 'only' 95% over the line. They showed the pictures on the scoreboard at half-time & only a section of the ball's edge was still above the line. Although chuffed they didn't get a goal, loads of us there sort of agreed that there's a bit of the soul of football that dies when that happens. You want to go to the pub & argue forever about if it crossed or not or wind the away fans up or complain about how much the ref was paid to allow/disallow it. Having experienced it first hand for the first time, I'd cut the wires today if I could.

Good points but would you feel  hard done by if that goal relegated you because it was allowed to stand, or cost you a cup final ? Its progress, people generally don't like change, video referees will be next . Personally i think its a good thing, there's still plenty to moan about ;-)

The money spent on PSG is nuts and I wouldn't be surprised if the hump every team this year to win the trophy. Financial doping is alive and well and if uefa don't do something about it then football in general is in trouble. They spent 300m this year on 2 players!!!

Celtic have a huge advantage against other Scottish teams but the psg situation is a different level completely.

Bollocks . I'd back spurs to beat them over one or home and away. Can't believe I just typed that 😘

    100% this

was arguing all day at work with those taking moral outrage

if p.a.y.e didnt exist we'd all be "at it"

Don't blame them for legally swerving it but that sanctimonious twat lineker swerving tax on his holiday home In a skint Caribbean Barbados is a bit rich ! And I speak as someone who has been on PAYE for 30 years

You can't protect yourself from someone 32 floors up with access to a military cache. You have to stop it way before their sitting in the hotel room.

Way too late for that. The only way is a movement as big and powerful as the NRA who fund and frighten the politicians in the same way and I can't see that happening anytime soon. I'm sure you've seen the Jim Jeffries clip on gun control. He sums the whole thing up very nicely, basically their argument is " feck off, we like guns" people will continue to die in the thousands because of an amendment  that was written when people carried flintlocks.

With respect (and I actually mean that, not being platitudinous) that's an easy thing for someone to say who doesn't have their existence questioned or ridiculed every day; who isn't discriminated against for who they are; who is mainstream, middle of the road, and not on the fringes.

I learned today that a lot of black and brown people in London prefer Uber because they have trouble getting cabs to take them. That kind of thing must really hurt. It's easy to say people shouldn't let things get to them when they, like me, don't have anything about their character or lives that other people use against them.

Thank you for not being platitudinous ? Not picking a fare up because of the colour of their skin is racism and I would agree is wrong. Causing offence is different. The most recent example for me was the comment that allegedly the England women's ex manager came out with something along the lines of "make sure your relatives don't bring Ebola over when they come" in reference to some Nigerian relatives coming over. I see that as more crass and offensive than racist and whilst I totally defend her right to be offended, I would also defend his right to be offensive. He may be a racist for all I know I have no idea, but it does seem that racist is being shouted on a lot of occasions when it's some twat being offensive when they're trying to be funny. I'm also aware that people may be offended by this view, hey ho life goes on !

I guess everyone's idea of offensive is different. Today I read on the forum people calling others 'stinking huns' and 'tattie munchers'.That pales into insignificance  when Scotty is rubbishing the work of generations of honest hard working scientists, engineers, biologists  with nothing on there minds but progessing our knowledge of who we are and how our world works. Scotty is an idiotiic fool that given his views would take us back to an age of superstition and ignorance. He and his fellow God bothering whancks are cnuts.

Fair enough, everyone is entitled to an opinion but your last line is a tad harsh, in my opinion !

Christ you like a long post.  It's all right making an argument against Scotty's madness and having a bit of a laugh about his bonkers god bothering but you hit the nail on the head. The stuff he posts is insulting ignorant trash and should be challenged. He is the most offensive poster on the board.

You've clearly never caught pistonbroke/wibble after a session. I'll agree I disagree with a lot of what he posts, but "the most offensive poster on the board" really ! I like people that are passionate about what they believe in from Margaret thatcher to tony benn and you can't argue that he isn't passionate. Granted the flat earth theory is stretching a point but then again I read terry Pratchett so who knows. One things for sure after reading his musings on here for a number of years is that he's a nice bloke. Argue with him yes but offensive no. Whatever his failings he genuinely does want the best for everyone. To be fair he's nearly Canadian and they are the nicest people I've ever met ?

Scotty if this board goes tits up I think I'll miss you the most. I've had a few debates with you and appreciate you trying to save me but we'll agree to disagree on most of your views. Would genuinely love to have met you for a beer. For all that you've posted I dont believe for a second anythIng was malicious and was with the best of intentions. As an interloper from down south this place has made me laugh many times wth my favourite being the mulberry handbag thread but you've contributed immensely and to be honest I don't care if you've been"at it" all this time or not. I doubt it but who knows . Anyway if ithe tamb does sink, good luck and god speed ?

you may be "well run" but you've also not won the league for 57 years

It's about winning things granted but we all live in hope. You of all people should know that following scotland ? And we've not been too shabby for the past couple of seasons. I,d take top six and a cup if you offered it now ahead of our move back home ?

I don't think its Barca who have the hump, from what I read its La Liga

Barca are getting a great deal.

It is bonkers. As a spurs fan I keep reading articles that say we are weaker because we haven't strengthened. We could probably do with one or two players at most and don't doubt we will sign a couple. We've got one of the strongest first 11 squads in the league all young and all on long contracts. Darth Levy knows how to run a football club !

erm.............he's apparently said goodbye to team mates and is heading to PSG for £196m.

I know this is said more and more but football is truly fecked if this goes ahead.

Genuinely don't see why Barca have got the hump about this. They knew the clause was there and in my humble opinion he isn't worth it. They should just take the money and run ! Is funny how a club can spend more than there entire annual revenue on one player though . Best thing is that this happens and he flops !

The men's game should commercially separate from the women's game and they should be two commercially distinct businesses as the men are being forced to subsidize the women's game for bullshit PC reasons. Let them sell their own tickets, sell their own TV rights and stand alone and then they can pay the women whatever they want. But I suspect they will never do that because they know they are sponging the fhuck out of men's tennis getting a cushy ride. Male players should actually sue for discrimination. They are being denied their true earnings to subsidize women's tennis.

Inferior? McEnroe says quite rightly the No.1 women's player would struggle to beat the men's No.700. Relatively it is boring and slow and the depth of talent is not there. You still have fat arses playing and doing well last time I looked. Fhuck womens tennis it is pish. Let them earn and then pay their own way. The men's game would be so much better without the PC leaches.

Sitting on the fence as usual !!

That's the whole point of what i'm saying. They say they put it on as more people are interested in it. However the reason that more people are interested is because it is always given more attention and focus.

There is simply no way that a male world number one would be put on an outside court at Wimbledon. Not a chance in hell of it happening.

Disagree, people are interested in it more because it's better. We probably disagree on that, but that's life

And in the men's division you have a plethora of champions who people want to see. The only woman that currently stands with them is Serena Williams. If kerber wins it then she can gripe when it happens until then she needs to get on with it. As previous posters have illustrated even when the women are on centre stage some view it as a good chance to have a beer !
