Anyone ever done this before?
If so whats its like?
i did this for Germany game mate . Got dundee to Cologne return for £2.50 .
A lot of people thought i was fecking mad , but at that price , when flights were £400 took a lot of the pain away ha ha .
But , it is what it is . A bus journey to europe , if you think you can handle it , you get some cracking deals if booked early enough .

Anyone else traveling over on the day and if so where from and how?
As much as I would love two nights in Dublin one was just about all I could afford. Anyone else coming in on the Day of the game and what is the best way to get from the Airport into the town?
WWW.aircoach.ie , booked this as they run 24hrs a day , so won't be a problem getting back to Dublin airport at stupid o clock on Sunday morning

makes the SSC tickets look value for money.
Yea , have to admit , quite happy with the £36 ticket price !

Get off on O'connell st mate
If your going commando ....your more likely to find cheaper accomodation on that side of the River Liffey.
Once you get off there .....your only a 10/15 min walk across the river to Grafton / Kildare St
If you need any other info ....just ask!
Cheers Bud ,
But no gonna bother with a hotel on this trip , Will take your advice and book tickets to O' Connell St
-
Depends where your hotel is.
We always jump off at O'Connell Street and if the weather is nice walk down to Temple bar and then on to our hotel in Exchequer St.
If you are nearer to the ground (near the pubs you were drinking in last time) I recon you want Kildare St (just looking at Google maps).

Cheers Bristolhibby ,
Should have mentioned , no hotel this time , commando trip . Land Dublin early sat morn , leave Dublin early sun morning .

Hello folks , looking forward to being in Dublin again .
I have a question , I'm gonna book Dublin Aircoach from airport . Good price and runs 24hrs , our flight back early sun morning ,
Which stop should I book to ?
Grafton St , Kildare St , or o ' Connell St . Last time in Dublin in 2011 , drank between centre and Aviva .
Any help appreciated .

We used aircoach both times in 2011 & they were fine. It was about €4 single back then I think. Will be using them again in June.
Cheers Scott,
Looks like best option to me !
-
Cheers Goozay. Is that the Airlink 747?
If so , just noticed that. Problem with that is, doesn't run through the night like Aircoach, and we have 6:30am flight fae dublin on Sunday.
-
Any TA used the Dublin Aircoach before?
Looks like a good transfer option to City centre . There's about 3 or 4 stops in city centre you can book to .
But not sure which one is best for bars !
-
All booked , Edinburgh to stansted , night in stansted . Stansted - dublin
And return £144 .
Fingers crossed for ticket now , on 5 points !

Can't believe still debating about this yes Celtic park has a strong Irish link but at end of day this is a scotland international on Scottish soil we are the home team so surely it Dosnt matter which scottish ground it is played in... Would engerland fans have this same debate if they played against the Irish at anfield ???
Agreed !!!!

Very easily solved - put me on your ignore list - like I will you. Hate people who think they can dictate to others what they can saw and do! Others have made comments about the referendum and no voters (preferring proud Irishmen etc.). The Tartan army is supposed to be all about supporting the Scotland and being proud of Scotland - voting no doesn't fit in there.
Tell me Helen , how long have you lived in Scotland . And how many Scotland games have you been to ?
-
I've parked at the Celtic Social Club just up the London Road from the ground in the past. Think it was about £3. Parking on the street is a wee earner for the kids wanting to watch your car. It's a Glasgow thing. Give them a couple of quid when you return...
Cheers for that mate !
-
As I say Flure , pretty clueless round that area . But open to all options . I'm taking my 6 yr old daughter , so trying to eliminate miles of walking . Thanks for your help tho mate !
-
I'm taking my car through to both Ireland & England games . Coming from East coast , so not too sure of geography of celtic park and surrounding areas. Where would be best place to park car ?
FOC if poss , iv heard Tollcross Rd , Gollowgate near Blackbull pub is an option .
Any help appreciated .

Bought tix for me and my 15 year old daughter for the Ireland game in the Lisbon Lion stand. It allowed me to buy 1 adult and one child ticket, but I noticed this on the SSC page
Children (age 15 and under) can go into any area with an Adult. However the designated Family Section is the only area where the child concession price is available.
Will I get in with her?
Family sections are jock stein lower and lisbon lions lower mate !
-
Have done exactly the same mate . Just bought tickets this morning for both Ireland & England games for me and my wee lass.Guys, I hope not the Ireland end
Bought tickets in the Lisbon lions stand , then found out that's the away end . Muppet.
Emailed Travel club , hopefully they can help before they go on general sale at noon on Mon .
-
Aye, and Rob Earnshaw before that !!!!!!
-
I'm on 07:10 from stansted to warsaw modlin !
-
I'm on 3 points and bought my ticket on Monday. The mate I'm going with is on 1 and will hopefully get a ticket today.
If I log in on my account and buy it (using his details as he's on my friends & family list or whatever it's called) does that mean our tickets are likely to be together?
Sorry , last post wrong quote !!!!
-
We did that for Germany. Seated in different sections.
The only way you could have done that , is if you had held off until the sale for one pointers started and bought together !!!
-
I paid £7.40 return for Modlin bus !!!!
-
I would like one mate , staying in dusseldorf , won't be in dortmund til sun morn .
