It isn’t your seat. You merely pay a fee for a specific seat for the duration that the stadium is in event mode on matchdays

We’re a couple of poor campaigns away from the SFA begging for our custom again at a half full Hampden, let’s see how much the SFA are worrying about non transferable tickets and taking favourite seats away from us then.

I notice that there is no confirmation regarding the transfer of preferred seats to the new system.

Queried this to be told this will “no longer be available on the new system”

Pretty angry tbh, absolutely needless, have had the seats for a long time

  3. Contacted the SSC e-mail about the favourite seat function to be told it’s not available anymore.

Pretty unhappy about this, have had the same seats for a number of campaigns including games against Kazakhstan, San Marino when the crowd was sparse at best

Just makes no sense and has needlessly annoyed me

You are dipping back five years for WC qualifier when we had a vastly poorer side and a different manager.

On your second point yes you do but as we all know this current Scotland side has now qualified for the last Euros, only missed out on the last World Cup in the play-offs and look well set to qualify for the next Euros.

Why? The Norway game would not detract the fact of recent wins in crunch matches against higher ranked teams such as Spain, Denmark and Ukraine that the current side has managed. Also the Norway match only demonstrates the current sides different mindset. Scotland sides of the past guaranteed would have went into their shell and felt sorry for themselves going 1-0 down to a penalty and would probably gone on to lose by 2-0 etc. But this side has steel. It steadied itself and stayed in the match and our first goal contained a build up of 10+ passes - quite unusual for a Scotland side. Having equalised all Scotland sides I can remember would have shut up shop and said a draw will do. Not this side. They pressed on and got a well-worked winner in stifling hot conditions at the end of a long, hard season may I point out.so lets not downplay the Norway match.

This Scotland team has something, the first Scotland team in my life that don’t accept “glorious failure” a Scotland team that demands winning and never ever thinks they’re out of a game, I love this group of players and manager.

let’s do the business on Friday and give England a go.

Aye, apart from the 40 odd games he played for Celtic between 2018 and 2020, including European fixtures.

My point was more about Jacob Brown though, rather than Michael Johnston.

If you think 40 appearances in 3 seasons is regular football with many of these sub appearances I don’t know what to tell you.

The point you made was that Mikey Johnston was somehow overlooked and it was a Clarke failing but there was little prospect of him being a contender for the squad as it stands no matter who was in charge.

It’s fair comment about Jacob Brown but mostly because we’ve not seen him have a real opportunity in a Scotland shirt and I’ve only seen bits and pieces of him for Stoke.

Forrest almost certainly is; Fraser might get back in if he can find regular first team football somewhere decent.

I watched Stoke again last night, against Middlesbrough, and Brown offers workrate and the ability to run with the ball...and that's about it. He can't beat a man with skill, his first touch isn't great, he doesn't cross the ball and late on in the game he missed a sitter which almost certainly would have won Stoke the game.

Options are limited in that position but I don't think Brown offers more than Ryan Gauld or Lewis Morgan - who Clarke has completely ignored so far - or even Michael Johnston, who is a year younger than Brown but has grown fed up of being overlooked and has now fucked off to play for Ireland instead.

Mikey Johnston wouldn’t be anywhere near any Scotland squad under any manager, his end product is atrocious and hasn’t held a regular game at any point in his career.

As a wide player/10 on top of Christie, Armstrong, Fraser I would say Ben Doak, Barrie McKay, Scott Wright, Dire Mebude, Glenn Middleton and even Steven Bradley would all be ahead of Johnston just now.

The idea that Clarke is somehow ignoring or overlooking Johnston is laughable.

Gauld and Morgan are fair comment, I would consider both for the squad but equally don’t think the MLS is a good career move for a player in early to mid 20’s and will very rarely see an upwards positive destination afterwards.

Who he managed means absolutely fuck all to me. Maybe people genuinely think its a stupid suggestion.

His job at QPR and walks all over Steve Clarke’s record in the championship with Reading btw, it’s a hard league to manage in.

Hardly as stupid a suggestion as is being made out.

    Which was my point.

If Clarke does go I hope out of hope it’s not a Scottish merry go round manager whoever it is, I hope to god we hire someone different and with a positive, possession based style of play.

    What club bias?

    Meant in general.

People seem to think Warburton is a joke figure because he managed Rangers, nobody could have done much better under similar circumstances, some of the football Rangers played was excellent, their next appointment was a backwards step even after 10 million spent.

His football philosophy is excellent, I’ve always loved watching his teams, total football.

Some of these posts are absolutely hilarious (see above).
Last nights debacle has revealed a high percentage of lunatics amongst our support 😂

    Don’t know why it’s hilarious.

He’s a good manager, was let down by recruitment when he hired the guy Frank McParland after his first window at Rangers.

consistently finished higher every season with QPR and performed above budget.

He’s got more experience and serious pedigree in football coaching than others I I’ve seen mentioned in previous posts.

Armenia are the worst team I've seen playing at this level, they were utterly woeful. At least the likes of San Marino, appear to have a game plan.

While, the 3 Centre backs were fine, we can hardly say they were tested. Armstrong, Christie and McGinn were incredibly wasteful while Adams performance just screams out how badly we really need to find a decent striker.

Ralston was the absolute stand out performer and has made a great case for keeping hold of the Jersey.

How ROI got beat off that mob is an utter mystery

No way are they worse than San Marino.

They don’t travel well, and they have really poor wing-backs, but they have a backing of good results against good sides over a number of years, they were in with a genuine shout of a World Cup play-off until the last few games.

I think we were very professional tonight and performed well, disappointed not to score a few more goals though, reminded me of the Moldova game.

I think being Captain Pisshead isn't quite as bad as when he totally missed a hugely important game because his maw had to take him to the dentist. But these two incidents show why he shouldn't be captain of Scotland. Plus he often doesn't play very well for us. A strong manager would drop him (although Robbo might not be too unhappy about that) and make somebody else captain on Wednesday. If we win the game the new captain retains the captaincy. The manager shouldn't make any of this public, just keep it in house. Nobody would be surprised if Robbo doesn't play on Wednesday. Folk will just assume that he needs a rest. I don't think being captain is good for his game. Some players just can't handle the pressure of being captain.

You’re not supposed to fly with an abscessed tooth due to the pressure changes, if you’ve ever had a severe abscess you wouldn’t be downplaying the severity of it, I’d rather break my arm than have another tooth abscess.

I believe that was the first camp that Robertson missed in his time with Scotland, he’s always available and reliable and he’s the best player in the world in his position in my opinion.

His performance last week had nothing to do with the the previous weekend and everything to do with KT not being available to combine with on the left hand side.

Yes. That"s good. Will be a big Poland support though. It"s always like that when countries have a huge amount of immigrants from certain countries. Look at when Germany are at home to Turkey. It happens to a certain degree the odd time we play in Canada or Australia, and certainly when Ireland play in the usa. Everybody be it Scotland, Ireland, Poland, Turkey etc turn out to prove  how Scottish, Irish, Polish, Turkish they still are. At least the atmosphere for a friendly should bre good.

4500 tickets sold to Poland fans according to Ian Maxwell.

  13. Outstanding that 33’000 tickets have already been sold according to the social media channels.

Wonder how close we’ll get to a sell-out.

Great demonstration of how far Scotland have come and the new wave of support we have when a Thursday night friendly is getting this type of attendance.

  14. There’s clearly a new generation of fans coming to games and this team has captured people that had never been invested in the Scotland team before.

There’s more than 33,000 SSC members now which is brilliant but will always make it harder for folk like us who sat threw Hampden friendlies against the US and Belgium in front of 18,000 people etc.

The better the team does the harder it’ll be to get tickets but I’m willing to trade that for the atmosphere and success just now.

Have plenty of sympathy for the loyal foot soldiers who couldn’t afford the package or missed out on the north stand though.

Literally in the bottom tier of the SPFL. Part time footballers. Barely a level above where their Colts team are playing. No youths starting. Sigh. Something needs to be done about teams stockpiling players. Rangers and Celtic are getting worse by the window.

Great to see a young Scot come on and score though.

Rangers have produced our 2 best young players at the moment and Alex Lowry looked outstanding when he came on.

With the loan system most of Rangers best prospects like Mayo, Williamson, Kennedy etc aren’t at the club, the B team is effectively an under 19 side and a level below the old under 20’s side even.

Could obviously argue Lowry and King could have started but good to see the minutes they got.

  16. McTominay winner against Israel.

Felt like a moment that put decades of “glorious failure” in the bin and made our new thing to get the job done no matter what.

I love this Scotland team and they made me believe in football again in 2021.

I still think the same about Ryan Jack.

He was brilliant and gave us good balance with McGregor in the famous Serbia game.

He was consistent for us imo.

  18. The passing exchange in the first half between McGregor, Gilmour, McGinn and Christie that set up the switch ball to Robertson and a counter attack might have been the best football I’ve ever seen from Scotland.

It was like a marker of a new era of incredibly talented technical Scottish players with one move and something I’m not sure I thought I’d ever see.

    Loved everything about tonight.

With Patterson suspended against Denmark, Clarke may well bring Ralston into the squad as cover. Think he will start SOD still but it’ll be good to get Ralston involved in the squad if it happens.

Don’t think you’re allowed to call up replacements for suspended players.
