I remember emailing the guy that did the Rangers players for championship manager. I was telling him how good my wee cousin was (he played for Scotland u19s at the time). The guy obviously took it all on board as he was like Ronaldo in the game.

He now plays for East Fife

AM L/C I'm sure he was? And I can bizarrely remember that he had 20 for penalty taking.

  2. My first match was a 0-0 draw with Croatia towards the end of the qualifying campaign for the 2002 world cup. Billy Dodds had a goal disallowed for offside.

Started watching the games during the Euro 96 qualifying campaign but none of my mates at the time were interested in going through to them.

Back 5 will be something like:

                 Souttar    Mulgrew      Tierney

    Fraser                                                     Robertson

I think Matt Phillips will play upfront with Griffiths. McBurnie plan B option off the bench.

Central midfield is strongest part of the squad so most important thing is to pick a balanced trio.

I think that will be the back 5 with McGinn & McTominay in midfield and McGregor & Armstrong supporting Griffiths in attack.

  4. Given the looks on their faces I'm willing to bet they were given by someone for a laugh rather than they stopped by an off license on their way to the ground just in case they won promotion.

  5. The best TA select story I have heard is from (I think) Belarus where the organiser misunderstood the "amateur" part and the guys ended up playing some mob who had competed in the Intertoto Cup the year before and only lost 2-0 on aggregate to Schalke.

There's too many to choose from when we were in D3 (Cribrari, Kyle, Sandaze, Faure, Stella, that Greek fella) so I'm going to base this pre 2012.  Again, there are a plethora to choose from.  Franny Jeffers, James Beattie, Egil Ostenstadt, Dragan Mladanovic, Juan Ortiz, Mervin Cellik, Jerome Rothen, Stalle Stensaas, Darius Adamczuk.  And that Algerian bloke who was Bougherra's mate.  Can't mind his name but you know when the home fans are pishing themselves when someone fucks up rather than giving them pelters that he's not the best player in the world.  I'd struggle to pick out any of them over the other as "worst ever" (and there's bound to be some I've missed).

    Salim Kerkar.

  7. TV- Vague recollection of watching the 0-0 with Russia in 1995 at youth club. The 0-0 with Holland at Euro 96 probably the first time I sat and watched the full 90 minutes.

Home- 0-0 draw with Croatia in 2001. Billy Dodds having a goal disallowed.

Away- If you don't count the under 21's 2-1 loss to Northern Ireland in 2005 (rumours were the full team would be playing there so I took a gamble and booked flights, still went over anyway) then it would be the 2-0 loss in the San Siro with Pirlo scoring both.

Not a lot of goals there.
