I actually really like his pragmatism and level-headedness in the job. Instead of getting carried away he seems to have a way of cutting through the noise to the important aspects of the situation.

He rightly pointed out we couldn't qualify on Sunday if we hadn't been so good in the group so far, and instead of getting involved in the goal controversy he took it for what it is. I enjoyed his "you can show it as many times as you want" comment as ultimately it doesn't matter what happened or why, the fact is it was disallowed and we lost so let's get on with dealing with that situation instead of being distracted with refs/VAR etc.

Probably partly due to the turnstyle itself being very old/clunky and not easily pushed through. 
 

They tickets should also be sorted so that they are issued in Google / Apple wallet so it is a pre-set screen size that doesn’t require manual manipulation. 
 

All these factors slow down entry. At least the security staff seemed to be communicating at the gate to try and make the ticket scanning go better.

Agree that a large part of the issue is the individuals using them, but the (event on the phone) blurry QR code that requires zooming in to work at the turnstiles doesn't help. I print my tickets out each time and I'm the biggest proponent of Apple Wallet for these things going.

If Highland League clubs can get Apple wallet working for tickets, then there's nothing stopping the SFA creating/commissioning an SSC app which can store tickets, details, ticket sales etc. and embrace push notifications for ticket schedules, news etc.

A push notification telling you when your alloted time to purchase away tickets is straightforward if you're logged in and it will know how many points you have etc.
