My wee boy has just turned 12. Got him a couple of books for his birthday that I'm looking forward to reading at Easter or in the summer 😂

I really enjoyed reading 'A Season with Verona' by Tim Parks about 10 years ago. A travelogue around Italy, with political and social slant. Right wing fans. Casual racism and hooliganism aplenty. A very interesting study of the reality of football fanaticism.

Is frisking fans before entry a new thing this season? Happened to us last week at Easter Road and was clearly a policy with 3 stewards in a row with railings guiding you in. (As an aside - as you approached from the side of the main stand, they were directing you onto the road and off the concourse in order to enter the fenced channels...)
Didn't happen when we were there earlier in season and can't remember elsewhere at all. Thoughts?

Don't see why not. He's playing at a level with quality similar to England and impressing. He seems to be versatile and very tactically aware in his positioning. Seems calm and rarely gives the ball away. I'd love to hear his thoughts on his own form and how he's been working with Bologna. I'm sure Steve Clarke will be well aware.

I watch a lot of Serie A. Ferguson has more than held his own, often looking one of the better players on the pitch. Doig similar. Playing very well for Hellas Verona. BT Sport have most of the games on. Bologna play Inter at 11.30 on Sunday coming. Verona are 5.30 v Milan next Monday, if anyone wants a look at these boys against quality opposition.

Be interested in the Vassell red. We left Easter Road in a strop when that was given. Not normally one to leave early but we were utter shite and that looked nonsense. I said yellow straight away but never red, surely? It was a high boot, yes, but no intent, contact, out of control?
