Anything that involves Sting - absolute pretentious git. But if I had to pick one that I can guarantee 100% will make me change the channel, it's got to be Don't Stand So Close To Me. Aside from being a completely shite song, he somehow thinks that singing about being a paedo makes him "artistic".

Agree totally although Message In A Bottle has always been me long term hate.

I've told this story on here before.

We were all sitting outside a cafe on Piazza del Duomo in Milan. Lots of Scots all over for the match at the San Siro against Italy.

    Someone asked that very question.

Lots of answers were given then I heard a voice say, "Hampden. 1965. Against Italy".

Al the heads turned to see who this Methuselah was. They were all looking at me.

Italy game is the first I remember going to,  lifted over and dwarfed by massive crowd.

John Grieg scored the winner and place erupted.

The green brigade don't sing sectarian songs so fuck knows why they've been brought into it. They probably sing offensive songs to you but they're not outlawed any more so can't see why they'd be arrested

I was in a Kilmarnock pub after Celtic were defeated, about 50 GB came in and caused no trouble whatsoever.  No songs, no queue jumping and no abuse.

2 years on and the child neglect and sexual abuse continues on an unacceptable scheme.  It's utterly dreadful. It's our Rochdale scandal. These reports all mirror what ordinary people have experienced and repeat.  Drive down Allison and Calder Street's and you see the kids on the street. Meanwhile the "community champions" get £500k for some saunas and art installations at Govanhill Baths.

I Have never understood why money is pumped into schemes like you have mentioned when there  are more pressing needs.

Especially the millions spent keeping a dead language on life support.

That last point is spot on.  Hampden has much better public transport connections than any stadium in Scotland, the problem is that Scotrail don't seem to out enough trains on before and after the games to move a large number of people in a short timeframe,.  If I go to Wembley, I tend to take the overground to Wembley Stadium from Marylebone.  For a couple of hours after the game they have extra services going out to Wembley and after the games they stack the trains up and basically once one is filled and leaves the next one comes in.

Personally I walk down to Victoria Road, go for a couple of pints and get a train from Queens Park, pretty easy.

Scotrail don't have spare trains sitting doing nothing, they still have a service to run.  The trains are leased therefore it would be foolish to pay for more than is required to run the network.

It’s not a complex. It’s the truth. We are better than everyone else, we have oil, better houses, more money, nicer cars.

We’re generally how other Scots should look to be themselves.

    Get over it.

And a preference for being British.

IMO hugging is way beyond "the line". When did we turn into a nation of huggers. It never used to happen. All this hugging nonsense is one of these modern ideas we could well do without.

I'm not too keen on hand shaking either. You never know where those hands have been, although I've got a good idea.

Spot on, why when we meet someone do we need to embrace?

I decided to explain to the " Happy Huggers"  that there is no need for this nonsense.

Guy on guy is the worst.

Culture needs to change.  Look how cheap alcohol is in France, Spain, Greece etc.  The people who are stumbling around there drunk are Brits and Irish.

In Spain bars open at 8am and locals of all ages have no hesitation in using them. They don't call it a cultural problem, it's a way of life. We have weekend drinkers, as unlike the Spanish,  most don't touch a drop midweek.
