  1. I'll throw another thought into the hat, and for me it gets to the nub of democracy.

    UKIP get 3.8m votes = 1 seat.

SNP & Lib Dems combined get 3.8m votes = 64 seats.

I'm no UKIP supporter but FPTP is a farce.

    J

SNP voter here. But another fact is that you have 50% of Scottish voters represented by 56 SNP MP's, with the other 50% represented by 3 "other" MP's.

That being said, that's half the country who have voted for one party, but will be ruled by another (which was always going to happen in any case).

  2. Bought 3 tickets yesterday but still waiting for an email to actually say they are on sale.

This email situation with SFA really needs sorted.

I also received an email on Friday and yesterday. Whilst it is not out of the question, the problem is more likely to be with your spam settings, than with the SFA. If you are on the mailing list (i.e. you get some of the SSC emails), then it is unlikely that they send you certain emails but not others.

Have you checked yur spam folder? Better still, try adding the @Scottishfa.co.uk domain to your safe senders list, if you have that feature. Who is your email provider?

  3. here's the 2 goals Ritchie scored at the weekend.

First one is a really nice finish

It is indeed. That's the sort of strike that is likely to be needed to beat Ireland, as it was at Celtic Park. He seems to have been doing this all season, so we should certainly persevere with him in the squad.

It is hard to believe that Maloney has 4 goals in this campaign (albeit 2 of them being pens against Gibraltar). Almost everything he has hit has landed in the car park. Great strike against Ireland, but he needs to be more consistent. Aside from the pens, he was terrible against Gibraltar, which should have been a game to shine in.

  4. Another contender for me definitely the 0-0 draw in the 89 World Cup V Uruguay who had a player sent off in the first minute. One goal would have taken us through but if I remember rightly it never really looked like coming.

Should this be posted under the subject of "The Summer Of An Odd Numbered Year"?

  5. I don't think the prices are too bad and if I didn't have a ticket is get one, sometimes you can be too cautious.

If you want a ticket then it looks alright

Agree. I would take a punt on them. Use your credit card, so you have money back protection.

Yes, like mentioned above, there some bad reviews about them, but no company (or one man band operation) gets it right 100% of the time. People are more likely to post something about a bad experience, than they are if everything goes "OK". Some people also just can't accept that they were maybe in the wrong a little bit too.

If you Google "needaticket.ie reviews" the guy has responded to many of the negative ones. What he has said seems pretty reasonable.

  6. Nice one seems like we will a have a good number of TA at this hotel :>)

Have you got transport arranged to/from the stadium? We are booked on a bus arranged by i4travel, from central Faro. But they are only running one bus from there and it has sold out I believe.

  7. I keep a close eye on him as I remember having arguments about Bournemouth being a good or bad move for him. I was all for the move as I thought (and was right, not often but it happens, please put the date in your diary) that they were a team on the up. Look at them now! I hope they get promoted and that Richie and Fraser get a good amount of game time in the English Premiership.

I hope so too. I will be watching (it's on Sky Sports 1). Nothing better on the box on a Monday night and the missus is working...

  8. From the Bournemouth website,

The progress made by Scotland under-21 winger Ryan Fraser was one of the highlights of last season.

Having struggled with injuries, he enjoyed a successful pre-season and carried on the momentum once the campaign got underway, playing a significant part in the opening day of Charlton Athletic.

Theres plenty of competition in his position, but Fraser has potential to be remembered alongside the greatest widemen to wear an AFC Bournemouth shirt

Thanks kmcca. Sounds very promising. I was obviously being too much of a pessimist! I'd like to see him do well, especially when him being an ex-Don.

  9. Matt Ritchie's Bournemouth will all but seal promotion to the Premier tonight, if they beat Bolton. They would then be 3 points ahead of Middlesbrough, but with a goal difference advantage of at least 17.

Ryan Fraser would be another Scot in the top league, if he survives any squad changes. He seems to be in and out of the starting line up and never seems to finish any games that he does start.

Barry Bannan should be back in the Bolton squad tonight, after his suspension.

  10. I'm also looking for two tickets.

I've seriously fooked up. Never realised ssc tickets went on sale last month. And I'm on 7 frigging points!!

I'll be on Glasgow George Square bus run by Alistair.

And how clear was the information email about tickets from SSC? Cant find anything , only adverts for Northern Ireland game. Did they text message? Because I definitely never got?

Pretty clear to be honest. Email came out Monday 16th March. Those on 5 or more points were given from Tuesday until Friday to buy their tickets. All others after that were only given 24 hours for their respective points tally.
