  1. If we'd won away in Spain under Leveing we'd have got a play-off. Burley had the same about beating Holland IIRC.

Levein hardly had any call offs and we got the same crap about great squad morale under him as you're spouting now. I can assure you that 12000 fans were not!! It was the same at the Poland game, i was storming up the stiars to leave fuming at our shitey defending and loads of fecking idiots are clapping. Some times you get the team you deserve, those idiots deserve a shite team.

Are you Craig Burley in disguise?

  2. Due to the Missus going to her first away game and for some bizarre reason wanting to actually sit beside me I have had to buy 2 tickets together so our separate Scotland end tickets are up for sale, face value. Good seats, one in Sector 4 one in Sector 5. Will sell seperately for face value. Can meet in Albufeira or at the game.

Did you not order the official tickets using the friends & family option on one of your SSC accounts? I don't really care about the answer, more of a tip. You would have likely got seats together had you done it that way.

  3. I got my ticket for this in the SSC sale so I am sorted but putting them back on sale 6 days before the game surely they could have put them back on sale earlier.

I am guessing they are corporate/club returns.

  4. Cant quite see why anyone would start a thread about this other than a "look at me everyone" need.

It seemed to bring about a bit of debate.

The fact that you have posted on it is irony in itself.

  5. I think we all know that it means you attend the match with said ticket, but you use a loophole to try and be smart.

    I'm cool with it.

So, to close this "loophole", the SFA should add an extra condition, reading something along the lines of...

The Member should absolutely not spend hundreds of pounds to travel to the match, buy 2 tickets (even if doing so is NOT denying someone else a ticket) and then attand the match using the ticket of his choice.

As RETRO has already pointed out, common sense and facts. I'm out now. Carry on being ridiculous.

The irony of all of this is RETRO will probably get breathalysed and denied entry from the mixed section and get in fine using his official away ticket. Everyone's a winner.

  6. He bought a ticket to gain a point.

He is not using said ticket.

    That's against the rules.

    Simple.

    Which rules? Yours?

Here are the only SFA SSC terms and conditions relating to away match points that I can see (see in particular 4.10 and note that he is attending the match and will be able to fulfil every other requirement):

4.8 The issuing of an Away Match ticket is conditional on each Member producing to the Scottish FA copies of valid travel documentation as may be notified bythe Scottish FA from time to time.

4.9 It may be necessary from time to time for a Member to collect their Away Match ticket locally in the city where the Away Match is taking place. The ScottishFA will advise each Member where to collect their ticket in advance ofthe match kick off time and they will be asked to present theirMembership Card or a valid Passport for identification purposes before a ticket will be issued.

4.10 If a Member does not collect their Away Match ticket and does not advise the Scottish FA, or such person authorised by the Scottish FA, prior to the match kick off timethat he/she will not collect the ticket nor attend the match, that Members membership to the Supporters Club may be suspended or terminated by the Scottish FA forthwith with no refund payable.

  7. But if you therefore got a ticket for a game that sold out at 8/9 points, you would then possibly be benefitting through having a point where you punted the ticket to someone else.

Whether you're at the game in a different end is irrelevant.

You purchased a ticket from the ssc and now you're trying to sell it.

That's against the rules, but you seem quite happy with your "I'm alright Jack" attitude.

It's people like this that dismay others.

Your reasoning is nothing short of ridiculous.

    GETTING THERE

The stadium is located about 8kms north of the city of Faro, about halfway between Faro and Loule and lies next to the A22 motorway. Take exit 13 on the motorway toward Faro/N125/Aeroporto and onto the IC4 road and then leave the IC4 at the first exit towards Estadio Algarve, (after less than one kilometre).

Although there is no regular bus line to the stadium, a local bus service will be provided between FARO City Centre and the stadium by EVA bus company.

There is ample car parking areas around the stadium should you wish to travel in your own vehicle.

Distance from Gibraltar to Estadio Algarve is approximately 395Kms. 3hrs. 45 mins.

    HISTORY & DESCRIPTION

The stadium was built to serve as one of the playing venues of the Euro 2004 football tournament.

It was officially opened on the 23rd. November 2003. The first match played was a friendly between local clubs SC Farense and Louletano DC.

During Euro 2004 the stadium hosted two group matches and the quarter-final between Holland and Sweden.

The stadium was previously the home to both Farense and Louletano, which are currently playing in the lower leagues. As a result both have chosen to play most of their home matches in smaller stadiums, using the Estadio Algarve only for important matches.

The stadium has now also become the official venue for the GFAs senior team official UEFA matches.

The stadium is best known for its remarkable architecture. Stand-out features are its 73 metres high curved roof over two of the stands which are held up by a steel structure tied to four pillars. The stadium has a total of 320 VIP places and a total capacity of 30,305 seats.

    CRIME

Crime rates are low in Portugal but pickpockets, handbag snatching and theft from cars are common in major tourist areas and can sometimes be accompanied by violence. Be alert, keep sight of your belongings at all times and beware of thieves using distraction techniques. Be extra vigilant in public transport and crowded train and bus stations.

Do not carry all your valuables together in handbags or pockets. Leave spare cash and valuables in a safe place. Avoid leaving items in an unattended car, even for a short period. If you have no alternative, hide them in the boot before you reach your destination. Remember that foreign registered and hire cars are often targeted by thieves.

Report the loss or theft of your passport or I/D card immediately to the local police and obtain a police report. You will need the report for insurance purposes and to obtain a replacement travel document.

Sexual assaults are very rare in Portugal but you should be alert to the possible use of date rape and other drugs, including GHB and liquid ecstacy. Buy your own drinks and keep sight of them at all times to make sure they arent spiked. If you are going to drink, know your limit and remember that drinks served in local bars are often much stronger than those served in Gibraltar. Remember that you will be denied access into the stadium if you are noticeably under the influence of drinks

    LOCAL LAWS and CUSTOMS

If you are caught taking or in possession of drugs for personal use, you may be subject to a fine or another sanction (including the seizure of personal belongings). Selling or trafficking drugs is a criminal offence and subject to severe penalties.

You must show some form of identification if asked by the police or judicial authorities. In most cases it should be sufficient to carry a photocopy of the data page of your passport, but you may be asked to produce the original document.

Gambling is only legal in establishments properly licensed by the government, like official casinos. Games of chance, including bingo, are illegal if they are held on unlicensed premises. The police may act without warning and organisers, participants and anyone on the premises may be arrested, charged with a criminal offence and fined or imprisoned. If in doubt, you should ask whether the establishment you are entering is legally licensed.

Any insults or damage to the Portuguese flag is viewed as a very serious crime in Portugal and the Police will act very robustly against anybody engaging in such an act. Remember Portugal is a friendly nation who is providing us with substantial assistance.

    IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS

If you are driving to Portugal from Spain there are no immigration controls between Spain and Portugal over the Guadiana International Bridge connecting both countries at the Algarve. However you must be in possession of a valid passport for the proposed duration of your visit. A minor under the age of 18 travelling to Portugal must either:

Be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or

Be met at the airport or point of entry by a parent or guardian, or

If not accompanied by a parent or guardian, carry a letter of authorisation to travel from that parent or guardian. The letter should name the adult in Portugal who will be responsible for the minor during their stay.

    STADIUM PLAN

SHOULD THE NEED ARISE, THERE WILL BE FURTHER UPDATES TO THIS TRAVEL ADVICE.

  9. This and if you don't your no better than those that order a ticket with no intention of going

Rubbish. He is going to the game and has paid to get himself and his wife to Portugal. He is entitled to his point, especially considering the game is not a sell out. The fact he has purchased additional tickets so he can sit with his wife, is irrelevant in this scenario. If he does sell his official away end tickets on, any buyer that is in the SSC had ample time to buy a ticket (and get a point).

IF the tickets did not go to zero points, or we sold our entire allocation, meaning some missed out, then you would have a point. To add to this, it's never been easier to buy a home or neutral ticket, which also haven't sold out (and won't). This is no big deal at all.

  10. Why SSC member? They`ll already have their own unless like me they`ve chosen to buy from Gib FA to be able to sit with non SSC instead of claiming point. If selling to an SSC member can SSC transfer your point to buyer?

    Jeez

  11. Here is my definition of a harvester:

Someone who purchases a ticket directly from the SFA, with the sole purpose of gaining an SSC away point; and who has no intention of attending the game itself. In addition to this, anyone who can no longer attend the match, has ample time and opportunity (i.e. they are not ill, or going through a life changing event) to return the ticket to the SSC and deliberately chooses not to.
