  1. Think I might well head along to this in Friday as I'm giving Cyprus a miss. Probably a bigger game the U21 match!!

Am i right in thinking my SSC card gets me free ticket? And that I still need to go through the rigmorole of "buying" a ticket beforehand?

Problem with experimenting is, if the manager is also facing threats to be out if he doesn't win the next 3 matches. Experimenting has to mean being allowed to risk failing to win, especially when playing teams above us in the league (!).

Aye, cause the boys who are there just now are doing a smashing job

Think that was a totally different Leigh Griffiths to the one sitting on the bench at Parkhead these days or not even on the bench at times.

It's a shame but I don't think we will see Griffiths any were near the player he was again.

I can see were your coming from with Celtic being better than Scotland in certain areas but if you are not playing are you really match fit?

I like to think so (although I'm aware plenty would disagree). You're still turning up for training every day, and playing reserve games - no real reason why you shouldn't be fit enough to play.

I concede (as I don't watch Celtic other than fleetingly on Sportscene) I've not seen much of him this season, so maybe he's not player from a couple of years ago. But surely he must be better than McBurnie / Phillips...

Sorry but I just cant agree with that.

I would love to have the Griffiths of two years ago available, but there is no proof what so ever that he is any were near that good at the moment.

We have McBurnie who was very good in the championship and is now playing in the EPL, Paterson who played and scored goals as a striker in the EPL last season and Phillips can play there too. Probably Forest or Russell as options too. Forgot about Burke

So poor as our options might appear they are not non existent

I'm not really interested in how players play when they're with other teams. McBurnie, as you rightly say was banging in goals in the English Championship, but has woeful in a Scotland shirt. Phillips likewise. Forrest too in all honesty (Nations league games apart).

These guys are letting us down.

Griffiths on the other hand has shown plenty in a Scotland shirt

Griffiths wasn't even on the bench tonight. Is he injured?

If he was injured then it is obviously a concern, and not much can be done about it.

If he's missing games because he can't get in the side, I think (given our lack of options in the striking dept) we should still look to play him. Celtic are a stronger side than Scotland, hence he might not be figuring as much as we'd like.

Our (excuse the oxymoron)  "strength in the depth" is so weak, that if some our best players aren't playing week to week for their club sides, I don't think we can afford to let it bother us.

If we played the game in Brussels then half the cunts who are saying how they can't be bothered with it would be posting all sorts of drivel about X amount of sleeps to go in "Ted's pre match party" thread.

Haha! I genuinely 'lol-ed' at that.

All good teams need one of those.

Perhaps these days yes. But not my type of player i must say. (not that what I think matters a jot)

Has just been chosen as Mourinho’s player of the year at M United.

He's a very Mourinho style player (i.e. a bit drab, holds the ball up and gets back to defend)
