Meant to be their last ever gig tomorrow.

Was reading that earlier.  It would appear Brown and Squire have been at each others throats again if rumours are to be believed.

Got a good few gigs coming up now from now until the end of the year and into next year.  I've been ticket buying daft recently.

Where on earth is Jamie ness now? Scored a beezer v Celtic a few years ago.

Totally agree though, looking good at that level means feck all affectivelly- so many hurdles to overcome still at that age.

Apparently the swear filter doesn't allow S.c.unthorpe United

Did anyone hear sportsound last night. The guest was Andy McLaren, his thoughts on football becoming middle class were really interesting. He works with a charity which doesn't charge kids for football. Worth a listen if anyone has the time.

He does raise some very valid, interesting points.  He came across very well and he's certainly passionate about his work.

  4. Been at the Ibis in the centre for a couple of weeks which was ideal for getting to and from Zoetermeer on the tram.  Due to a booking arse up, I'm at the Movenpick in Voorburg this week which is also decent.  The Den Haag area has some great restaurants(2 Greek ones have been tremendous) which I've been enjoying.

IBIS Hotel in the Centre of town is quite good and cheap. It's on the Torenstraat and ideal for pubs, restaturants etc. Tram stop jsut round the corner as well. There is also an EasyHotel opened up on the Parkstraat  now but not heard any reviews.

Where are you working ??? Might be better ones nearer your work

Zoetermeer, but there isn't much happening there.

Been looking at a few places, Novotel, NH, Ibis, Mercure etc...  I've yet to make up my mind though.

Imagine having patter as good as that?  I'm sure when you're in Kilmarnock you must be a show stopper.

  7. Just looking for some recommendations folks

I'm looking to stay in a decent hotel around Den Haag Centraal station ( I'll be commuting to work on the tram 20 minutes away and travelling up to Amsterdam regularly) for around 6 weeks, maybe longer.  I know the Den Haag/Rotterdam area pretty well, but haven't had to use a hotel in Den Haag before.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

  8. I'll never forget Roy Essandoh's miss for Motherwell against Ipswich in Colin O'Neill's testimonial.

A long, mazy, powerful, skillful run in which he passed players like they weren't there against a side who had a few decent players in their ranks.  As the run is reaching its crescendo, with what could be one of the greatest goals ever seen at Fir Park, he calmly skinned the experienced Canadian International 'keeper Craig Forrest, took the ball in towards the empty net for a few more touches then proceeded to miss an open goal from about 3 yards.

Ferry services cancelled, train services cancelled as anticipated storm force winds hit Scotland. Sensible.

SPFL say it's business as usual!  Fans travelling almost the length of the country for tonight's fixtures.

There will be an early decision... surely.

the pitch is in fine form according to the update from the ground staff this morning.  The floodlights in one half of the ground were still on at the back of 11 last night, so they may well have still been coring the Main Stand side late into the night.
