  1. Losts of positives to take from tonight.

I thought Fletcher did well to an extent, but he still looks a bit away from competing at international level.

I can't really see why Whittaker is getting so much flak, I thought he had a decent yet unspectacular game.

Great performances from Anya, Naisy, Bannan and Marshall. S Fletcher did well when he came on too.

    Negatives.

Hanley was again the weak link in the team. He is nowhere near up to playing at this level.

Martin was found wanting for the 1st goal, both in positioning and in effort.

I've watched McArthur play better games than he did tonight, I thought he was a bit over awed by the occasion though I don't think there is a great deal he can do for the second Muller goal.

Mulgrew was extremely stupid and had been let off several times during the match for petulance. The ref wasn't shy however in flashing the second yellow.

An incredibly weak refereeing performance from another so called "Elite" official.

  2. After a skinful, a few of us who are musicians had a debate about timeless albums. It was varied to say the least. Any additions?

    Amongst mine were

    Heavy Weather - Weather Report

    Aja - Steely Dan

Off the Wall - Michael Jackson

    Led Zeppelin 4

    The Nightfly - Donald Fagen

Songs In the Key of life - Stevie Wonder

  3. I joined the Welsh SC so I could buy tickets for our last game in Cardiff, today I receiced an email from them with the ticket prices for their home qualifiers.I thought at first they were taking the piss asking for £75 to watch that pash but then realised the £75 was for the bloody season ticket.Surely the SFA are extracting the urine with the prices for our home games.

The big difference is supporter base. Wales have a really poor(attendance wise) and unreliable home support. It can be decent when they are playing well, but the arse really falls out it when they are playing shit. With those prices they are hoping to sell out the home matches on the basis you can watch Bale & Ramsay with a real chance of qualifying for Euro 2016.

The SFA know they'll sell tickets regardless hence the ripping of pash.

  4. Have noticed a few folk that were and have always been No switching to Yes. I'm surprised, nee stunned at it especially since one of them is a known Orange sympathiser. I know a few have had enough of being told repeatedly that Scotland can't do it and have grown tired of the negativity, they've been swayed almost exclusively by the No campaign that aims to keep them. :-))

The profile pic on fb of "don't believe their pish and vote yes" has been more prominent with friends who were No's until recently.

  5. I admire your optimism but I don't think he looks 100% fit yet. He seemed to be having problems with his stomach from the 2nd set onwards and recently always seems to have some sort of niggle or another. I can see Djokovic dispatching him in 3.

Hopefully not, but I see where you are coming from. I do think that he looks to be rediscovering his game and is playing some outstanding tennis in spells. Some of his play against Tsonga was breathtaking.

  6. Welbeck has an ability problem.

Never good enough for a team.

    Fixed it.

I'm struggling to comprehend how that valuation has been decided upon. The boy is never a player and certainly not one I would associate as an Arsenal type footballer.

Gignac, Lacazette, Aboubakar, Martinez, Gameiro, Palacio, Berardi. Surely all better options and most would be available for the money being laid out for Welbeck.

  7. The Mrs and I have just renewed our ESTA's, got Sunday flights ready to book and I've booked the New Yorker for 4 nights just incase Andy gets to the final. I've got a feeling he might go on and win it again...
