  1. I saw someone posting about the tartan specials in another thread. That seems sold out.

Just trying to make sure my group don't miss out on any good Scotland parties over there. I always heard the France 98 night before was epic.

Anyone know of anything ticketed or any pubs that would be the go to?

  2. By the way, I'm in Scotland the now on holiday. I'm in glasgow tomorrow if anyone wants to meet me to check in I'm not a weirdo etc. Will bring my passport and the app with the tickets. Can also provide screengrab as mentioned. I also have a SSC membership number I can pass on. Anything to show I'm not a con man or a scalper.

  3. Before I start - delete if this isn't allowed. I don't want to get flagged as being a scalper.

Myself and my mate are flying over from Canada as mentioned elsewhere on the forum. We decided that since we are going a long way, we would buy the tickets on stubhub on the day of the draw just to know we had tickets. Yesterday, I checked my junk email to find I won tickets for HUngary and Switzerland. The tickets I won in the ballot were category 1 and we decided to buy them anyway with hope we can shift our other tickets.

Only issue is we paid over the odds for the other tickets to begin with. We are obviously keeping Germany (the most expensive of the 3) but have 2 pairs of tickets for Hungary and Switzerland for sale.

TBH I dunno if this is the place to post as I'll get abuse saying I'm a scalper and all that pish. I paid well over the odds but have the tickets for sale none the less.

Paid $698 USD for 2 switzerland tickets cat 3

Paid $667 USD for 2 Hungary tickets cat 3

I've the screengrabs from stubhub etc to show that is the price I paid. Looking into ways to sort this out as I think there is a situation with number of times uefa allow you to transfer tickets.

Is it a rip off? Aye it is. I was daft buying them but wanted to go. Thought I'd offer. But understand most people would say GTF.

If anyone wants them cool, otherwise I'm allowing a family member to buy them underprice.

  4. I've won tickets for 2 Scotland games on the ballot.
I only found out this morning and I've been given until tomorrow at 12 noon to put the payment through.

Uefa keep kicking back my payment, with 3 different cards as I think the email I used is different from my bank account email.

The alternative is some sketch "alipay" app which is there preferred method. Guess what? Doesn't work!!!

    Anyone else had issues?

  5. I'm based in Montreal these days and my mate over in Calgary. Both actually scottish and none of this "ah i saw braveheart once so I'm Scotch" patter.

Both former footsoldiers that followed Scotland about Europe in dark years of 2000-2013/14.

We are flying out to Montreal to Munich then flying back from Stuttgart. Both of us decided to go on a Stubhub and buy over the odds tickets (pure shambles btw) as we are making such an effort to come from Canada it's a bit pointless to worry about the next draw or scalpers on the day. I've used stubhub before for tickets and they are good at replacing tickets for events if the person is a con man. I think it's more likely we'll get a refund as I doubt they will be able to replace Germany opener tickets at an event like this.

Anyone else flying from Canada? We're probably doing a Canada Tartan army flag.

All booked for hotels, flights and supposedly tickets.

The SFA don't keep a registration of TA Clubs.  The Association of Tartan Army Clubs (ATAC) http://www.associationoftartanarmyclubs.com/ is an organisation for clubs to get together and share ideas and help support each other.  Mostly around ticketing and travel.  ATAC have regular contact with the SFA as well as being a member of Supporters Direct Scotland.  Just shout if you need any more information.

Much appreciated. I'll check out the link

  7. Had a longer convo with the same contact last night. Hes heavily pushing the concept of portugal. But he is of portugese heritage so i think he might just be talking pish.

Cant see the english wanting to lose the final in a tourny they are favs in.

Was at euro 2004. Organisation on transport was a joke.

I didn’t say you couldn’t go to Russia. I meant I couldn’t see the Russian government allowing fans at the games if the tournament was moved there as it would mean tens of thousands of extra people pouring in from abroad.

I understood, no worries. I was just talking about visas away from what you were saying.

I’m pretty sure there was a visa waiver in Russia during the last World Cup so under normal circumstances we probably wouldn’t need one if it is moved to Russia.

I have a feeling the games might be played behind closed doors though if it is moved. If the pandemic is still in full swing I can’t see the Russians letting tens of thousands of people in to their country.

I just looked up russian visas and seems to be an e visa done online and costs around 50 usd.

Basically if you want to go and have a valid passport you will get it.

But yes, i see this being behind closed doors.

  10. Big thanks to mariokempes56 I got in due to the password being my postcode.

As suggested by my mate, I am on 3pts. However looking at my purchase history and the critera for points I should be on a much higher quantity. I'm emailing the SFA to try and get this sorted pronto.

Due to a freak out moment today of thinking I won't get tickets, I got in touch with a mate of mine who works for FIFA.

For those that don't know I live in Canada these days. A friend of mine is involved with FUTSAL Canada which is the national association of FIFAs official indoor football body. Due to that he gets tickets to world cup finals etc. In the last few years it seems he's developed a ticket reseller site for football tickets and with his connections at FIFA is a bit in the know.

I've attached a screen grab of our convo today. He is very much of the mind the tourny will be moved to 1 country and not in it's current format. Take it for what it is, a FB messenger chat between mates. But it is what it is.

I personally will be putting a small amount of effort into looking into RUssian visas.

  11. My mate logged in and seems we only have 3 pts when we think we should be on 6.

Side note, i cant log into my account as i no longer have the email associated with and canny mind password. Anyone got a web support email contact?

So ironically as it stands, i wont get hampden but in a chance with wembley.

Looks like ill be getting skint off a tout. An absolute joke after the efforts to maintain my points and card while living abroad

  12. Im not smartened up totally to how this works, but assuming we get 8000 hampden tickets and the pta tier numbera are correct on the scottish fa page,

7749 people are on 6pts or over.

I assume these people get a seat and the rest a ballot for those on 5pts?

Any way to check your points total? I've no idea what i'm on.

  13. Hello all.

First time I've posted in years. Been living over in Canada since 2013. Still keep my TA card active with a mate back home.

Today in Montreal we are hoping to form the first Montreal Scotland Supporters club in a pub called Mcleans. We've about 5-8 people coming and hoping to try and get the word out to any other Scots in the area.

It's been a long time coming and with Corona Virus it's delayed things and made it more complicated. The pub have been very helpful to us and have even found a Piper to come along.

Small beginnings, but it's a start. If anyone has any family in the area let them know.

Side note: How do we officially register a TA with the FA? Is there an official list?

  14. First time I've posted in a while. Living over in Montreal Canada now.
Finally managed to get a small group of Scots together to watch the match in a pub.

Looking forward to it. First time in years I'm watching a game in a pub with a bit of a crowd.

  15. Watching the game at work here in Canada. Not surrounded by greeting face muppets so I'm over the moon and not about to moan.

Aye the center of our defense isn't great. Bunch of other smaller nations qualifying for tournaments have shown if you have good movement in your midfield you can get away with bang average CBs.

Bates and McKenna for me are not the best Cbs the country have to offer. Hopefully this playoff spot will spark greater interest in selection when it comes around.

Delighted with the win and playoff spot.  We have a long long way to go. I still don't think McLeish is our man, but I'll give him credit where credit is due.

  16. Current team has a bit of potential. They will faulter big time under McLeish.

He shouldn't of had the job to begin with on every available level. Steve Clarke for me the replacement. Many will claim he'll turn it down, but surely the Scotland job should be appealing to him.
