Perhaps settled for a safe option but he’s the man in the gig so let’s support him as we do the players.
Will be interesting to see who he brings in to complete his team

Renewed. Never in doubt for the chance to experience moments like this:

There's a sports car in orbit!
Better keep that image off the Flat Earth thread...

Oooft. Thought this was a "Deid" thread. Almost started lowering the flag to half mast.

Leann Dempster apparently favourite for the gig? Any Hibees have any intel? Suppose it's a different kind of role but still a Chief Exec

Good news. Hopefully this means a complete overhaul of how the SFA is managed and get a football person installed.

Sky Sports reporting Scot Gemmill now the front runner... If true, a serious lack of ambition and will surely be the end of Reagan

Had a scan and started planning for Albania. BA doubled their price in less than 2 hours.

The SFA & very clear........
If it’s an excuse to get more money out us then they’ll nail it.

It only guarantees games at the national stadium.
You can see now why they are thinking of introducing home points.
Ah yes, of course. And I’m sure this will be very clear once they confirm the package for 17/18

Surely to God given the Monday and Tuesday night scheduling they have to think about playing these games in Edinburgh or Aberdeen to get a crowd close to capacity and an atmosphere for the players. Hearts are likely to lay a new hybrid pitch (similar to the one at Murrayfield) this summer so I'd like to see one of the games played at Tynecastle.
SSC membership guarantees a home ticket for competitive games so it’ll be Hampden

Regan is one of the longer serving Chief Executives. No real progress with the men's national team which surely is one of the KPIs of the gig?

Can't see this making much sense. The surrounding infrastructure on both sides would have to be upgraded as part of this and would there really be enough traffic to justify something. I'm sure the money could be much better put to use.
And of course, Westminster would likely interfere as there would be no direct benefit to London.

It's embarrasing. A gig like this should have loads of quality candidates. Have to wonder if it's the behind the scenes stuff that's putting people off it.
-
FFS - Absolute shambles. I bet they don't have anyone else in mind.

Pretty certain a game v Costa Rica won't be in Glasgow.
Would imagine Easter Road or Tynecastle for that one 🤔

Nae venue for the home game confirmed?
-
Costa Rica, Hungary, Peru & Mexico

The media coverage is so sensationalised, it's almost American! We're on the same latitude as Moscow and Newfoundland, we get snow every year! Amazes me how the infrastructure grinds to a halt when we get this.

Not a player, but Paul Lambert just announced as Stoke Manager

Hopefully the trial of playing Tierney at CB against the Netherlands was a test to see how both him and Robertson can play together. Paterson had a blinder, how is as a RB at that level though? Can he move into RB for Scotland? Robbertson, Tierney, Paterson and _________ for a back 4?

Not a film, but watched the first two seasons of Narcos. Brilliant stuff. Third season not so good, but worth it for Salazar's wife alone.
Agreed, I've recently got into this too. I'm concerned they go Homeland with this and keep making more seasons with weaker storylines

I was able to use my SSC 16/17 card to get my "discount" for the new home top at the weekend there so there's still some validity left in them at the moment.

The World Health Organisation reckons that about 25% of adults in the developed world have Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. One of the main contributors to this is thought to be the over consumption of sugar (fructose in particular). Most of us know that over consumption of alcohol can also damage the liver. One of the diseases it causes is Fatty Liver disease. So, if you're using the type of drinks designed for "fat thickos" to cure your hangover then you could be giving yourself a double fat liver. But, spare a thought for those folk who like to get drunk using vodka and Coke. That's a triple whammy. Fat, fat fatty liver for them.
I think Coke might be even worse than Irn Bru but I'm not sure.
My advice would be that if you must get drunk then stick to beer. Sure, it's got loads of kilocalories but very little sugar. Not lager though, that's about 3% sugars. Then just suffer your hangover like a real man.
Every time you have a sip of that sugar laden poison, just image another wee bit of fat getting pumped into your liver, eventually leading to a slow agonising death.
Enjoy your pint.
I'll just stick to straight whisky then. Nice and clean.

Landed himself an Assistant Commissioner gig at The Met. Some retirement plan.
