Massive loss for such cruicial games. Fletcher likely to replace Brown as captain and experience in the middle. Big ask for McGregor to step in but this could be his chance to ensure he's called up every time?
Definitely Jeck - someone bubble wrap Griffiths!

In light of the latest news. Thank you to whoever has agreed to keep the place up and running.

McCormack to Melbourne

What a life.

Red card Cooper and Leeds 2-0 down to Cardiff. Quality centre back search continues?

This is why I'll miss the Board. Real world life solutions.
Think it mostly depends on what the local culture is. A tip should be an added bonus for good service or going above and beyond, not expected as part of due course - thinking mainly in the US where they are used to top up wages so places can always pay their staff the bare minimum.
With digital tipping though, where does the money actually go? At least cash can be an undeclared straight in the pocket effort.

The problem is that Ryanair won't care about bad press etc. They know most people fly with then through necessity rather than choice; whether that be price, convenience or direct access etc. I've also never had any issue with them but I suppose this is the risk you take when booking with them.

I'm just hoping no key players pick up any injuries before then, particularly with an Old Firm this weekend...

£1 = 78RUB

Scotland Supporters Club should pick this up and use our membership fee to cover the running costs.Unlikely to get a better source of direct customer feedback and focus - Twitter & Facebook groups aren't thread based and trying to find old information is never easy.

Maybe a foreign manager is worth another go? I mean Bertie was a disaster but he was a bit of a doughball.
He got us closer to a tournament than any of his successors so far. He was also instrumental in bringing players like Fletcher, Gordon and McFadden through

The "Burdz You'd Love Tae Ride" thread from the old board will go down in Message Board Folklore.
-
Sad to see the demise of the board, I visit almost daily during my lunch break at work to see what the chat is over the various threads. Something comforting and old school in the message board format in the social media world but had been expecting this for a while.

Won't this upset the Yoons? Scotland being recognised as a country?
My thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

There are some attractive options that would steer the crowd towards capacity, although I think a sell out is optimistic
- Thursday night, easier to accommodate than a Monday / Tuesday for most folk
- Quality opposition
- The match has massive significance and importance to the campaign
- Last home game of the campaign
Whatever happens it'll be some night in a few weeks.

No way should a CEO of the SFA be getting into Trump like spats on Twitter with fans.
This.
Ticket prices have been inflated for what we're getting for years now. Pricing should be reflective of the quality of product - as it is with everything else. That said, the next game against Slovakia will be packed. They should have given away free tickets to clubs / schools to get more people in the stadium - cost would have been minimal and additional pie sales would have given the SFA some dosh.

Job was done. One game at a time, the classic Scotland way.
2 very tricky ties ahead in the next month. We can only do our bid. Surely we're due a bit of luck though...
-
Start the strongest possible team. They will fancy an upset after holding England for so long and seeing France v Luxembourg last night.
-
Who else is on potential suspensions for the remaining games? I'd like to see an attacking lineup and mentality and hopefully get some early goals. Similar to the England game on Friday wouldn't do the health any good.
At least the objectives are straightforward. Must win the rest of our games. Nothing less.
-
Lithuania taking points off Slovenia would be welcome too.
-
If we don't qualify and Strachan walks / gets punted - that's not the solution. That will be 20 years without a major tournament for the men's team. The problem lies much deeper than the manager. Whole SFA needs a restructure. It'll be a sickener to have Euro 2020 games at Hampden with Scotland nowhere to be seen.
-
Nonsense to suggest tonight is not a must win game. Almost by definition we should be beating teams in lower pots to get some points on the board. And the fact we drew with them at home makes this even more pressing. Anything less than 6 points from the next 2 games and it's game over for the World Cup, and probably Strachan too.

Vulrnability at Centre Back and the lack of firepower are the worries for me.
The goals / caps ratio makes grim reading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotland_national_football_team#Latest_squad

There is this but concerning that one of our best players isn’t even getting in the squad
