You,d have thunk it would be our new manager ( if we ever get one)that would select our opponents and venues for friendlies instead of a load of suits in an office

At this rate Murty will field an entire team of loanees against the Jags on the 31st.
Now to be renamed Loan Rangers

Both Lambert and McLeish are uninspiring and are out of work for a reason

Wife/ girlfriend stealer but get well soon

If they happen to find the culprits that threw the fake eyes surely they should expect the same sentence as the players eg least 4 game ban, most 8 game ban
The furore in the press/ media about throwing the book at the culprits is laughable if you look at the punishment handed out to the players who verbally abused Shiels

After nearly 25 years membership, I’m thinking about packing it in. When it was a tenner a season I was happy and would still be happy to pay. It was originally just meant to be an admin fee. It has somehow evolved to be some other commercial money maker for the sfa offering their tat.... no I don’t want another crap tshirt that goes straight in the bin or money off other rubbish I don’t want. I want tickets for games.
the sfa marketing team are incompetent and treat the fans like imbeciles. The fact is the product is over priced. We have become $hit and yet the price has risen enormously. I only went to one game last campaign for various reasons - I work and often work away during the week. It’s just becoming not worth it sadly. And don’t get me started on season tickets.... joke.
This
Gave up my membership a few years back with no regrets
Since then had no problem getting tickets for games home or away anyway so no benefit of me rejoning SSC

Loose change for him but great gesture nonetheless

We currently have a manager who choose us due to locality and cash not being an issue. It's not uncommon.
Nothing to do withhim being out of work for a year or so and no other offers?

Or maybe he's more like me and the work life balance is more important than the cash?
You are getting annoyed with Squirrelhumper making an assumption about you but you're happy to make assumptions about Naismith?
Not annoyedwith Squirrelhumper in the least
Slight difference in making assumptions on football players to someone making assumptions on one post by a random poster on a football forum
Merry Xmas to you both

Correct.....he helps out numerous charities both local to where he grew up and where he plays. He supports dyslexia Scotland too, as well as Stewarton Annick where he started out.
Langtonian just seems a miserable git that can't accept that not all footballers are tossers.
You dont know me so dont make assumptions
Because footballers like the cash doesn,t make them tossers which i never insinuated

You're wrong about Naismith, just accept it.
He's donated to a multitude of charities and still financially supports the boys club he played for.
He seems to be a generous, decent guy and the venal attitude you are describing doesn't fit with that picture.
I,ve donated and still do to mulitude charities but it doesn,t mean money isn,t important to me.If my old company came calling I wouldn,t go back for any less than I,m on at the moment

Could name numerous players/managers who made a move based on locality/affection for a particular team rather than money.....it's not completely uncommon. Especially when the player is 30+.

Dont be taken in by this ‘next move wont need to be based on money ‘ pash
Naismith is no different to any other player/ manager
Cash is king(mabe not in Daves world)

Money saving excercise.
With no competive game till Sep/Oct 2018 look at the money the SFA are saving by not having to pay a salary to a new manager meantime

What I wont tolerate though is it going to Celtic Park or Ibrox (or both) and nowhere else. Unacceptable. The financial benefit to clubs of hosting internationals should also be very modest.

I can't believe this actually has to be explained to people.
You come across as a right condescending character
You questioned someone earlier when they had the audacity to suggest Klinsman.Bayern Munich quarter finals of Champs league if your basing merits of being scotland manager on club football
O Neil win ratio something like 35 %
We,ve just ditched a manager with a much better win ratio

We dont need a bigger capacity stadium

As there is no seperate accounting and membership money seems to get lumped into a pot outwith the SFA nobidy knows what the membership money is used for
