Hopefully a return to the years before 9 in a row.

The first one ,in the 60's

When Hearts, Kilmarnock, Dundee, Aberdeen, Hibs all won the league.

    But i doubt it,

Not a chance of those days ever returning, the ugly sisters cash cow that is Scottish football is all the world (according to Sky etc) is interested in.

    Spot on.

I can see it all now. We will be expected to wear black whilst out and about and greet for a week. TV will close down and be replaced by a round the clock 'This is Your Life' about her intermingled with replays of past live events she attended. The funeral coverage will last for two weeks with over a 100 cameras positioned all over the place. And, of course, we will just have to have the endless wakes in street with people who have never even met her telling us how wonderful she was amidst their mindless tears.

    Exactly this and then some...

1st seeds Denmark, probably two defeats, might sneak a point
2nd seed Austria, drew at home, absolutely must avoid defeat away
4th seed Israel, drew away, essential must win at home

Have we not learned anything from the last two decades? If you don’t beat teams above you, or take take maximum points from teams below you, you don’t qualify, it’s pretty much this simple, and more often than not you need to do both of these to qualify.

The first three games most likely fucked us up, unless we can win in either Denmark or Austria. If we have played 6 games by the end of these games, and only have two wins to show from it, its an absolutely calamitous qualifying campaign.

We have started slowly in so many groups and blew any chances that we had. This shite mentality that oh well drawing with Austria isn’t bad, and oh Israel is a hard place to go, let’s celebrate a point is killing our chances.

    Excellent post.

  4. Hello all, finally got the opportunity to move home from deepest Ingerlundshire.

Looking at working in Aberdeenshire and wanting options as in where to stay.

Ideally next to the coast but nae in Aberdeen itself and good transport links. Decent gym and outdoor life is high on the list

Had a quick look at Stonehaven but been years since I've been there, seems like there's a few new builds around the area

    Cheers for any sensible recommendations

  5. I listened to the Tony Livesey link Exile, no need for your clarification as I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth and I don't want this to become a two person debate

Apart from the statistics he mentions, this stood out..

"Black lives need to matter more than they do now, they need to matter equally as much as white lives.

Saying white lives matter is not a campaign stance its stating the bleeding obvious"

Surely saying Black lives matter is stating the bleeding obvious

  6. One change for the game on Saturday...

Bradbury in for Haining, who had a decent game in Dublin

Scotland: Hogg (capt); Maitland, Jones, Johnson, Kinghorn; Hastings, Price; Sutherland, Brown, Fagerson, Cummings, Gray, Ritchie, Watson, Bradbury.

Replacements: McInally, Dell, Berghan, Toolis, Haining, Horne, Hutchinson, Harris.

    Dreading this years competition

    Thank fuck for Italy 🤣

Aye, looking at 2020 after the 6 nations we play South Africa twice then New Zealand, all away from home...followed by the autumn series, Japan  Argentina and New Zealand.

    Could be a long year...

Still if anybody has tickets for Dublin and France at home give me a shout
